• I stood stiff as i stared into the gold lined mirror suspended on the stone wall. The figure was not me, it was a mere silhouette of what would become me. If I continued on the dark path I am on now I will become this shadow in the near future. But this mirror is the least of my worries. Standing atop this stone wall is the one who has taught me how to use my special gift for evil. He taught me that I could go beyond my limit if I followed in his footsteps. He lied, I am nothing but a monster. My psychic gifts have been used to harm others. So now i shall challenge this monster and prove to him that there was never a limit. He created an illusion that there was. He must pay for that, and i know he is reading my thoughts at this moment.
He jumped down off his perch and landed without a sound. He drew a blade from his back holster and it glistened in the full moon's light. The beautiful silver color distracted me as he ran forward, swinging his blade horizantally multile times. I stuck my arms out in a fake surrender and used my mental gifts to push him far back. I was not ready to fight and i teleported away. This was his domain, and I had no chance at victory.
I had teleported back to my birthplace. A futuristic city known as Psykia. The chrome plated buildings emanate a ghostly neon green aura. The talest building, the light spiral, towers over all other buildings. The twisted shape of the building lives up to the name. While the top is pointed, it holds in place a gigantic green orb. This orb gives all of us Dimension Jumpers our power. But... because of my recent choice to work in the dark arts,I have been exiled from the city. I came for one conversation with my dearest friend. His name is Guardian. I don't know what possesed his parents to give him that name but he is the only one who still believes I am of a pure heart.
However, he thinks his powers are not psychic in origin. He believes it is magic. The people flying below only see me as a silver blur as i dash along the rooftops to his home. When I arrived there, I knew where to meet him. I traveled around a corner and saw him. His dark red eyes frightened me a bit as he glared at me. His black tuxedo and tophat took away any fear and just brought laughter.
"Ha Ha Ha! Wow Guardian, what happened, you lose a bet?!" I teased.
"Yes Derek that is exactly what happened." His sarcasm had a bit of an edge to it.
"Guardian, what's wrong? You seem tense."
"I have been searching through every Psykia law book available to find anything that can have you re-enstated into the DJ'S. I am very tired. But I have found something."
"What have you found out?" I had a very childish curiosity right now.
"Well, I have learned that if you did not kill anyone with no defence, you have the right to a fair trial." The relief in his voice was futile.
"Well... I have killed a defenceless person." I responded shamefully.
"Well then I'm sorry Derek. There is no hope for you.
"Guardian, please! I need your help!" I pleaded.
"I'm very sorry Derek, you must depart now. The authorities are on patrol. Goodbye." He seemed almost ready to cry.
"Guardian you monster! I trusted you! I never knew you would betray me just like the others did!" I was crying now, the tears were like a waterfall. "Sal, Katrina, Lyssette... and...and now you! My psychic powers are beyond belief right now! I can destroy all of you! And this city...but I don't want to." I had submited to myself.
    "Derek, I...I'm sorry."
    "Some friend you are."
I darted off back across the rooftops. He disapeered behind me as I fought back the endless tears in my eyes. I couldn't kill him, or anyone else in Psykia. I was alone now. Not a friend or ally in this world. But wait! I still have access to the dimensional mirrors! No friends in this world maybe, but in others...
