• The shrieks of all of those I held dear rang in this empty space that was once my home. The ruins of the buildings I had once entered were impossible for me to look at without crying. The sky was black with ash. The city was in flames. The only other figure besides myself was a lone crow perched on a flag pole. It stared at me with blank, red eyes. I walked slowly toward it and the bird grew. It was growing, growing, growing. Until it was as large as a building. The crow flapped it's massive wings once and I tumbled backwards. The gust of wind blinded me, and when I regained vision, I was in a forest of black trees with bloof leaves. I was lost...and alone. Feeling this alone caused me to hyperventilate. I dropped to my knees and tried to remind myself to breathe as I sobbed. I was crying and didn't even notice. That helped alot. I tried to force myself awake as I knew this was a dream. The skeleton of a horse peered at me through a dead bush. I approached it and it disapeered. It was ghost. I was scared to the point that I wanted to just die. I tried to awaken but I could not. It was then that I realized this was no dream... it was a nightmare. A nightmare that I could not awaken from. A vision of a sort. This could be a sign of what would be in the future. A post-apocolyptic world. My worst fear. I was alone in the world. No one to hold, no one to love, no one to support, no one to do anything with. I am completely frightened. No force on Earth can save me now. I just closed my eyes, and snapped them open...
