• Shelok was overjoyed, in a few moments she would have limitless power and this world would bow before her. She turned and walked out onto her balcony. The entire town lay before and on the horizon there was a black dot. As it drew closer Shelok smiled as she saw what is was. A man in his early thirties, with coal black wings and wearing nothing but a pair of jet-black leggings was flying towards her carrying a woman. She smiled and thought to herself, “So…this is Kida…not bad, he has good taste.” Shelok spotted two specks not far behind the man. The man landed on a lower balcony and she turned walked back to her throne and sat, waiting for him. Moments later, the woman’s screams could be heard echoing up the hallway along with the rustling of wings and the clank of armor. The iron doors opened before he and the man entered followed by six guards and Kida. He bowed and said, “I brought the woman you asked for, Mother.” Shelok replied, “Well done. Leave me guards so that I may speak with this woman and be wary, I’m expecting company.” The guards left and almost immediately the man had Kida suspended by the throat. He uttered a low growl as he said, “Now can I kill her?” A scowl flashed across Sheloks’ face as she walked up to him and said, “Patience, Garzvhog, you’ll get your chance to kill.” Garzvhog put Kida down and she stood there, unafraid. Shelok smiled and as sincerely as she could say, “Welcome, you must be Kida, I’m Shelok. It’s such a pleasure to meet you.”
