• I was dying. I could feel the life draining away from me. I couldn't believe that I was dying. The last thing I remember is having a huge fight with mom. I got tired of it so I turned around and started to walk off. The next thing I knew, I felt a pain in my back that brought me to my knees. I think I fell forwards but I'm not sure. I'm sleepy. So sleepy. I wonder if this is death. I don't want to die. I still have my husband and daughter to look after! Lucy is only five! What about Anthony?! I need to leave them a message. But I don't have the strength.

"Please someone! Anyone! Help me! If my family gets the news from my mom she'll lie! She is the one who killed me. They need to know the truth! Please help me!" I begged into the empty air of the house my mom used to live in. I didn't expect anyone to hear me. But it put me at ease. I could die peacefully. I closed my eyes and succumbed to what I hoped was death.

I was shaken awake. When I opened my eyes there was a light. I was dead. I'm sure of it. But, I could see a shadow in the light. I could feel something cold on my back. Breath next to my ear. I knew something was there.

"Help me get back to my family. I don't want to die! Please help me." I rasped out through my chapped lips. I could feel tears on my cheek. I knew my eyes weren't leaking.

"Who did this to you?" a voice of an angel was whispering in my ear. That angel was weeping for me. I tried to move my hand to touch the angel but pain stopped me from moving my hand too much. I think I whimpered because the next thing I knew, there was even more of those tears that weren't mine dripping on my cheek.

"I already forgave her. Don't worry about it. Tell my family I love them and I'm sorry." I was crying now. The angel was turning me over. I saw the angels face for the first time. It took my breath away. He had almost white skin, blond curly hair and forest green eyes. He was different from anything I've seen before. I thought he was an angel to take me to where dead people go.

"Are you an angel?" I asked the angelic figure. His laughter was like church bells. He smiled down at me. I was confused. Why was he laughing?

"No, far from it." He told me gently. His eyes were twinkling with amusement. I was even more confused. I had to be in heaven. This creature had to be an angel.

"Then where am I? Who are you?" I asked confused. I started coughing up blood. There was a searing pain in my back. The pain started to pulsate and consume me. I forgot about the angelic creature for the moment. I was being consumed. That is, until a coolness washed over me. I was so peaceful. The pain wouldn't bother me right now. This peace was even more intoxicating than all the chocolate in the world.

"My name is not important right now. I can make the pain go away forever. Do you trust me?" He seemed a little hesitant. I was so happy I could send my family one last message that I didn't notice how scared the angel looked. I meekly nodded my head. I didn't have the strength to speak.

"You will never be able to see your family, or go out in sunlight ever again. Are you willing to give that up?" He seemed like he was lecturing me. I just nodded my head again. I wanted to tell him that I had already accepted that I wouldn't be able to see my family. That I never really like the sunlight anyways. But I didn't.
