• I knocked on the door of the two story apartment, the vines of once weeds now entangled in between the creases of the door. Zero- kun hadn't spoken to me in the last 5 weeks and now I grew scared. I was afraid I had done something wrong to keep him from me. The door now openned to find his mom, Samula, peeking through the cracks. " Oh, Skylar-chan! Please come in!! Zero isn't from the store yet, so you can go up to his room. Okay?" I nodded and headed down the narrow hallway that was made of panneling until I got to a small wooden door. I turned the knob and walked right in. Inside was a bed, a desk with a chair for homework and other papers and pictures of me and him lined on the walls. I wiped off some of the dust that held onto the frames. Why would he keep these?
Suddenly, the door creaked open. Zero openned it all the way and took a step back. " Why are you here?" he whispered. I shook my head. " Y'know, I should be asking you the same thing." I tried to walk up to him, but he ran to another side of the room. His brown hair now flopped over his face. " You shouldn't be here." He then slid down to where he was covering his face in his knees and arms and whimpers were heard. I slowly walked over to him and lightly touched his shoulder. "Zero, why are you here? You scared me.... did I.... I do something wrong?" I stammered.
"He said, while you walked away from me after the bell, that I didn't deserve you. I was pulling you down from acheiving your true goals. I was a ingrate to even look your way."
    "Who is 'he'?"
    " Your Father."
I started to well up inside. " My dad? He would never say something like that to anyone I am in love with... let alone someone I'm going out with!!!"
" But yet he did. And I realize that it's true." he muffled. His head dug depper into his knees. I knelled down and gave him a hug.
"Zero, don't leave me. I need you." My tears now pattered on his skin. He looked up out of his kness and stared at me in awe. One of his hands pet my head. " I won't leave as long as I'm welcome in your arms."

And then it all faded into the blackness.
