• Chapter 3:
Serenity stood before the black hole that would teleport her to the most dangerous realm in all known Yokai. She took a deep breath and clutched to her backpack and took a leap into the teleporter. Matt, who was laying on his bed with his eyes closed, sensed her leave and jumped up. He grabbed his sword, which he had previously prepared, and stepped out of the room. He walked down the hall and four rooms after, he knocked on the door infront of him. Elric opened the door. He seemed he had just woken up from the look of his eyes.
    "Hmm?" He asked have asleep.
"Captain!" Matt stood up straight. Elric grabbed his badge and pinched it on his white vest.
"Yes, soul watcher, what is your business here?" Elric's voice changed dramatically from I-just-woked-up to I-just-drank-coffee.
"Captain, you are in charge of all legal and ilegal actions taken in the world of the living and only the world of the living, right?"
"Yes. And what is the purpose of you asking?"
"I only need you to sign the permission slipt to enter the realm." Matt extended his hand with the piece of paper Ranzaroth had given him.
Elric moaned. "Aww you woke me up for that?" Elric grabbed the paper and unfold it. "I just approved one a few minutes ag-" Elric paused as he read the note.
    "What's wrong?" Matt asked worried.
"T-This permission slipt... this is a solid original slipt... directly from head master, Ranzaroth."
"Um... yeah so...?" Elric flipped the paper around revealing a seal on the back.
"So?! So this is like... an honor..." Elric's childish side was showing and it was getting Matt annoyed. Elric was the kind to have more then just one personality. Kinda like Matt but in a different way. Elric hurried inside his room again. "Oh um... you may come in, SOULHQ." Matt stepped inside as he watched Elric run around his room. "Where did I put my seal? Where is my seal?" Elric wondered as he threw all of the papers from his desk down to the floor. Matt raised an eyebrow as he saw him destroy his dorm completely.
"Ah! here it is!" Elric grabbed the wax like material laying on his bedside and placed it on a spoon. He placed the spoon over the lit candle and it slowly melted. He was wearing a ring with a skull inscripted on it, just like his badge, which he then dipped on the melted paste and pressed down on the paper making the impression of which. When the symbol was dried, he handed the paper back to Matt with a smile and a seed which Matt then swallowed.
"Here's your soul seed. In case something happens to you, it will be my responsability to get you back."
    "Yes, captain... um... captain?"
    "Yes?"
"Just curiosity but... did you gave one of these seeds to the last person who's permission slipt you signed?"
"Who? Serenity? Oh no. Her permission slipt clearly said it was punishment so... I can't give her one."
"Hmm... do you think I can have one?"
"Hahaha!..." Matt didn't understood what was so funny. "Haha. No." Matt's eyes narrowed a bit. "But I can give you a blank seed*"
"Okay!" Matt's smile grew big. *(Blank seed= It's the same as a normal seed. But this one you can't plant. If you do, nothing will come out. You have to insert some of your soul). Elric reached into the pouch that hanged around his waist and pulled out an extremely tiny seed. Tinier then the one he had given Matt before.
"Here you go. Well good luck on your journey and... well... uh... Just stay alive, okay?!" Matt smiled a yes and walked away.

"Aw crap!" Serenity stood on a hill. The wind blew through her hair and the sound of a birds flutter strung down her ear. "It's daytime." She sighed. "Night, fall!!" And just like that, the sun hid in the horizon and the moon and stars were out. She was still wearing her HQ uniform and was ready to start her mission. "Okay... if I were an immigrant soul in this realm, where would I go?" She looked around. All she could see were houses and buildings all dark and only bright windows. And some mountains on the horizon. "Town!" Serenity gave a big leap into air and she was already down the hill.

Fifteen minutes later, she was already walking down the streets of the city. "Well I might as well figure out were I am." She pulled out a weird blackberry style gadget and pressed a button that turned the screen on. The skull symbol apeared and Serenity looked up at the tree next to her and ripped a leaf. She tore it apart into many small pieces and only grabbed one. She inserted the piece of the leave in a small tray the "blackberry" ejected and then shut it closed. "HQ scanning. HQ scanning." Said the machine. Everyone around her looked at her with a strange look. They all thought she couldn't hear them talking about her but she did. "Did you see that? Her clothing is rather inappropriate." Whispered a woman to her boyfriend. "I know... but... what's that on her hand?" Serenity got pissed off. She was beginning to wonder why souls liked this realm so much. She turned back to her HQ scanner and sighed.
"HQ scanning, You are in the human realm."
"Yes, I know that. But where?" She asked annoyed. It was rather pointless since the HQ scanner wasn't interactive.
    "Other information: unknown." Serenity nodded.
"Well that was useless." Suddenly, Serenity sensed the presence of a soul. "Bingo!" She looked around and wondered into a dark alley. She pulled her SOULHQ gun which she had previously loaded with some of her soul. She clicked her gun and aimed at the foul beast. She smiled a grin and pressed her fingers on the trigger to shoot. "Be careful!!" Sadly, her attempt was in vain. A boy came running to her and pushed her out of the demon soul's way.
"What the hell, man!?" Serenity yelped.
"This is a demon! You can't kill them with a normal gun!!" He panicked. "It may sound weird but trust me. This is-"
"I know what this is!" Serenity interrupted. The demon raised his giant hand to slam Serenity but she shot the demon down. It slowly turned to dust and vanished.
    "Y-You do?" For his surprise.
"Yes. And who are you?" She asked with an attitude.
"I'm... I'm William... William Robertson. Who are you?" Serenity wiped her long hair out and popped her waist out revealing the headband tied around it.
"I'm SOULHQ number 10975643: Serenity HQ. Level two soul. Here on a mission to exterminate all immigrant demonic aura; At your service." William raised an eyebrow.
    "SOULHQ?"
"... nevermind." Just then, Serenity realized something. "Hey, how do you know it was a demon? Infact, how can you even see it?"
"I don't... I... um..." His eyes had a red sparkle on them and Serenity noticed.
"Hold on." She pulled out her HQ scanner and point it out towards him. "Open your eyes wide and don't blink or you'll wind up blind." William's eyes grew big. The gadget beemed an infrared light up and down.
"Scanning. Scanning. Scanning." Serenity rolled her eyes. "Subject at hand: Soul." Serenity gasped.
    "What is it?"
    "You have soul within you."
"Um... yeah... it's part of our religious beliefs." He raised an eyebrow.
"No, not that kind of soul. I meant soul." William was still comfused. Serenity sighed, again. "Soul... the source of power..."
"Uh... I tought that was called chakra." Serenity's eyes narrowed.
"What do you think this is? Freakin' Naruto? Chakra opens the gates to comunication between the subject and nature. To activate it you must commense a ritual by performing certain positions with your body and must be at a complete relaxed state. And soul is not the same as chakra just so you know."
"Wow... you really know your vocabulary."
"Thank you. Well... goodbye." Serenity turned around her heels and walked away.
    "W-Wait!"
    "Uh! what is it?"
"Don't you need a place to stay?" William looked at Serenity from head to toe. "And maybe some clothes." Serenity opened her mouth wide.
"Hey! Do I look nude to you."
    "Well..."
"Don't answer." Serenity sighed. Serenity hanged her soul gun on her belt and grabbed her backpack. "Please, may I stay with you?" William smiled sweetly.
"If you may, fallow me." He extended his hand in form of hospitality and Serenity grabbed it and walked out of the alley with him.
    * * *
Matt was in the human realm seating on the hill Serenity once stood. "Her trace leads me here." He tought as he passed his finger over the grass. "She must be near by... but of all places, why London?" He wondered. He pulled out the blank seed Elric had given him before and dropped it on a rock. He placed his hand untop of it and closed his eyes. He transfered some of his soul and when he romoved his hand, the seed was a tat bigger. "There we go. Now all I have to do is get Serenity to eat it without noticing me or the seed. But... where is she? Hmmm..." Matt grabbed the seed and placed it back on his pouch and stood up. Just then, a demon came up from behind him. Matt quickly improvised and grabbed his sword. He sliced the monster in have and it slowly blew away as dust. "Pff! Not even a challenge." He turned around and took a deep breath. "This may be the great realm... but it's filled with idiots..." He sigh and placed his sword back away. "Including me." Matt jumped down of the hill hoping to find Serenity safe and fast.

William took Serenity to a big mansion. I mean, the back of a huge mansion. Serenity raised an eyebrow.
    "Um..."
"My father is a senator... He's rarely at home so he never notices when I'm gone."
"Sure... heh heh. I understand that but..."
"Oh yeah. This is my house. Big, isn't it?"
    "Yes but..."
"And behind this big wall is one mighty garden."
    "Okay but..."
    "But what?"
"Why are we in the back?"
"We're sneaking in. There are guards on the north so we can't go in that way." William grabbed a branch from the edge. "Here. Let me help you." He said extending his hand. Serenity raised an eyebrow.
"Who do you take me for?"
    "Excuse me?"
"I'm not weak, if that's what you're thinking. I don't need your help. I can climb by myself!" Serenity grabbed a branch and began climbing.
"Um... okay." William fallowed her as well.

Serenity sat on the edge to admire the entire mansion. William sat next to her and saw her as she gazed at the house.
"That ain't no house... that's HQ..." She said in a joking matter. William gave a strange look and turned to the house.
    "HQ?"
"Forget it." She looked down at the grass below her.
"Well we might as well get moving. Night fell quickly today." He said as he looked up at the sky. "You have to be careful there are surveillance cameras and scanning laser all over the surroundings of the house. There's only one safe route that I've managed to uncover so far.
"Well let's go." Serenity got ready to leap.
"No, wait!" William grabbed her top and accidentally pushed her. Serenity fell top less on the grass. William looked down to see if she was fine.
"Ah!" He covered his eyes and fell backwards outside. Both of them moaned at the same time whincing at there own stupidity.

After Serenity was completely dressed and William made it to the other side, he apologized to her for accidentally pushing her.
"Yeah. You should be." She said with an attitude. Serenity always acts with pride in moments like these. "Why did you stopped me anyway? You did say there was a safe route."
"Yes but... you never gave me the chance to explain..." Serenity gasped and then nodded.
"Fine... you got me. What's the safe route?"
"You're standing on it. Just keep walking straight." He said pointing out to the mansion.
    "Oh..."
"Fallow me." Serenity grabbed his hand and William guide her through the garden. He stopped at the foot of the building. He looked around and saw a blue bird on a near tree asleep. "Ooh look a blue bird." Serenity cooed. The birds bursted up. William pushed Serenity into a near bush.
"Hush!" William said to Serenity who was laying below him.
    "What's wrong?" She whispered.
"That is not a normal bird. That's a hidden camera." Serenity peeked through the branches and looked into the bird's eyes and gasped. "You're right."
"It's not that easy but I'm used to it." He smiled.
"If you don't mind me asking but... how old are you, William?"
    "Huh? Me? I'm seventeen. Why?"
"Nothing... nothing... Has the bird looked away?" William looked over his shoulder.
    "Yes. I think so."
    "Ah!"
"What is it?" He turned to her and saw blood.
    "You're bleeding."
"I... I am... is that even posible?" Serenity got freaked out. Was a soul watcher suposed to bleed? What if there was something wrong with her?
"Well yes... every living thing bleeds."
    "But I'm not human."
    "What?" Serenity gasped.
"I mean... of course... silly me."
    "Um... okay. Ah!"
    "What's wrong?"
    "Guess I cut myself too."
"Can we go inside now... please...?" For the first time, since they've been together, Serenity had actually said please with kindness in her eyes. William felt pity and helped her up.

They were inside William's elegant room, eight minutes later. "Wow... this is one big room..." Serenity exclaimed as she spunned around in circles.
"Wait here. I'll get you some clothes and food." William said as he left the room. Serenity saw the huge bed all covered with pillows and coushins. The temptation was too big. she just had to jump onto it. She ran to the far side of the room and took a deep breath. She took impulse and ran just when she saw the door to the bathroom. She stopped abruptly and fell down to the floor on her flat face. She moaned and got up. She fixed her hair back in place and gasped. "SO COOL!" She said as she saw the size of the bathroom. "It's as big as my dorm back at HQ. Oh wait 'till Matt sees this....." Serenity's eyes narrowed down. "Matt... wonder what you're doing right now..." She tought. She shook her head and tried to forget him. Shortly after, Serenity took of her clothes and got in the tub she had prepared for a bath. Her clothes laid neatly folded on the floor next to a red towel she found on the bathroom closet. She closed her eyes and sighed as she tried to relax.
"Okay. I've got some... Serenity? Serenity?" William looked around his room and saw noone as he entered. "Serenity?"
"I'm taking a bath... I mean... if you don't mind..."
"Oh of course not." William sat on his bed. He leaned to the right just to get a little peeky when Serenity slammed the door opened. She walked out of the bathroom only wearing the towel. "Ya got ma clothes?" William's eyes grew big. So big it seemed they were going to pop out of his sockets. "Let me see." She snatched the first thing she could get ahold of. It was a long dress. "Huh?"
    "Clothes..." William said the obvious.
"Yeah but... do I look like I'm going to dance? No, I'm very tired." She said mockingly.
"Oh sleeping clothes! Of course." William looked around his room. He turned around and saw Serenity wearing his boxers and her tank top.
    "I'll be alright with these."
"Um... okay... here's some food..." William gave her some cereal and milk.
"Thanks but... I'm not really hungry... a true warrior can survive as long as he or she have soul."
"Warrior?" William was beginning to think she hit her head to hard. "You must really be into your own world."
    "..."
"Well... I'm going to take a shower. Please stay within the walls of this room and be quiet." He entered his bathroom leaving Serenity with that warning. As if Serenity was one to fallow rules. She pretended to go to sleep. She knew William was listening behind the door. When she heard the water running she jumped out of the bed and walked out into the hall. "Tee-hee." She wondered down the corridor and down the stairs. It was all very dark and everyone was asleep. she went into the kitchen and sat on one of the rotating chairs on the breakfeast table and spunned around. One second, there was nothing on the counter. The other, a slice of cheesecake stood before her.
"Huh?" She looked around to see if there was anybody there. Nothing but she and that piece of delightful pastrie. Serenity's eyes narrowed and her mouth became watery. Oh how she loved cheesecake. She grabbed the fork that layed next to it and began eating it. From outside, Matt was looking at her as she ate from the kitchen window. He had placed the soul seed within the cheesecake which he also left on the kitchen. He smiled and left with his mind at ease: Knowing he could now relaxed.
