• “And you are...?”
    “I don't know”
“What do you mean 'you don't know?'”
    “I don't know”
“Don't play dumb with me, boy. I know you know this, so tell me who you are!”
“I told you I don't know what you mean”
“You're name! What is your name?”
There was a silence that echoed the room like glass shattering in an empty hallway. The voice, now infuriated, called back to me in a roar of furry
    “TELL ME YOUR NAME!”
Another long pause and a long drawn out sigh of defeat and frustration.
“You are just like the rest of your kind, stupid and ignorant. No matter, I was able to invade your mind this easy, I'll find what I am looking for soon enough.”
The tension in my head faded and I could hear the footsteps of running people. It was slow, almost to slow to be a run. But then again, everything felt slow, as if time itself had slowed down. I took one last look at the man who tried to invade my mind and grinned a little as he looked back. If I was going to die, he was not getting what he wanted. I could not hear the man, but I read his lips well. I didn't need to hear the poison or feel the bite, I could see it in his words:
“I will return for you, boy. This I promise”
The world around me faded to black as my name was called. Names. What are they really? Some people believe that names only give human's meaning, a well rounded purpose to live. I believed that too. However after today, I realized that some names, might be worth killing someone for.
