• "Alright lets get down to business." cried Conner's father as he walked around the corner holding a riffle in one hand and a pistol in the other. "We need to split into groups of two to three men, and I will split you into these groups according to your skills."

As Conner's father picked the men for each group, Conner was sure that he and Rory (his fathers first born) were sure to be in the same group. Rory was always put on guard duty with Conner by his side. Rory was shorter than Conner and he had short brown hair. Conner on the other hand had longer black hair and was extremely tall, but whatever the matter Conner knew his job.

    "Conner your with...Andre and Cobby."

His father's voice lingered in his head. Andre and Cobby but their-

"Conner get over to your group. Now!" Conner ran and slid into Andre knocking him over. Then Cobby picked Andre up and his father began to speak again. "We will be station at the rear of the bank. Rory and Andrew will be stationed out front and Jeffery and I will stay out back." As his father stationed the rest of the groups he kept wondering why his father had put him will such quiet, stealthy people. Was he going to send-

"Conner, you and your group will take security down and retrieve the money from the safe. We leave at sundown."

    Chapter 4 The Failed Attempt

At sundown all of the men quietly gathered in the back of the bank in a circle, dressed as if they had come from a wedding or fancy party. Rory and Andrew acted as if they were leaving and went to the front of the building. The others got ready as if they wanted to go into the bank, including Conner.

A man in the group by the name of Anthony was to talk to the teller about starting an account. Andre, Cobby and Conner went to work on finding the security room. It seemed to be going better than they had planned. Conner fell once over Cobby because the floor was wet, but besides that mishap nothing else seemed to be going wrong.

"Finally," whispered Andre. In front of them was a door labeled Security Personal Only. "Bingo," said Cobby who had gotten to work picking the lock. Conner stood there anxiously waiting. Then they busted the door down and tied up the men. "Like taking candy from a baby," said Cobby rubbing his hands together. "Now lets get to the vault and get out."

When they got to the vault the door was open and a man was putting more money in it. Cobby jumped on the man and knocked him out. They called Rob(Conner's dad) and told him to come help them load up the money. When everything seemed to be going according to plan, Conner tripped an alarm and fell on his side. There was a back-up security team on its way and a huge metal gate coming down. The gate came crashing down on top of Conner's leg and he screamed in agony and terror.

The others tried to pull him out but he only screamed and told them to go and save themselves. They jumped in a van and got away. Conner was just lying there bleeding profusely when all of a sudden everything turned from a blinding white to a solid sheet of black oblivion.
