• Glints of the sun's light shone through the leaves of the trees. I could feel drops of water falling onto my shoulder one by one. I wondered if I'd ever escape this moist forest and find civilisation beyond this treacherous, damp forest.

    I reached for my backpack, which was covered in dirt and took it off my back slowly. I stretched myself out after those severe hours of walking hoping to not come across a dangerous animal like a serpent. It was freezing in this forest, and yet I'm still wondering where in America I am, better yet, am I still in America? What if I'm in Brazil or Mexico by now? Who knows where this huge forest could lead me...
