• ~Prologue~

................Remember the good old days when you and your friends stayed up all night watching horror movies and gossiping? Well that was how my life used to me about seven years ago. My name is Jessica Parker, your average teenaged girl, I lived in a small town called Campbell, Florida and yet I had many friends. Even with the population being 3,931 people. Life for me used to very easy, with little complications. My parents, Marie and Justin Parker, are both full time pharmacists at a local drug store.
................Now into the present, I am seventeen years old and what you might call a ‘know it all.’ This whole thing started when my parents decided to move across America to Los Angeles, California. It seemed like they didn’t care about me or my opinions.
................Months after moving I had moved on and made new friends, a blonde, blue eyed, slim girl who goes by the name of Cassadee. Another being a well built, brunette boy named Jason. While there are still more friends in my life those two are the most important to me. All of us being unique in our own special ways, we never knew something was about to hit us. Something that will change our lives, for who knows how long. Maybe even that’ll last forever in the memories of our loved ones.

    ~Chapter 1~

................Tonight there was going to be a big party at Andrea’s house. So it might not be the biggest party Andrea has held but to me this was a huge party. Something I didn’t want to miss. Andrea is probably one of the wealthiest girls’ in school, also probably one of the bitchiest. I finished getting ready just as the doorbell rang. Ding! Dong! Ding! Dong! Hurrying down the big steps of my house I called out to who ever were at the door. “Coming!” Opening the door, I saw Cassadee and Jason standing there holding hands. Never did I once think that those two would hook up. Yet as it appears the managed to.
................“Oh… umm… Hello Jessica. I know this is a bit of a shocker to see us like this… but…” Jason had paused in the middle of his sentence, thinking was probably what he was doing. Thinking about how he could explain this all to me. This all managed to appear on his face explaining how nervous he was to tell me this all.
................Instead of letting him continue with hesitating, I held up my hand to stop him. “Don’t worry about it. I could care less if you two dated. But if you two break up I will not choose sides got it?” I made sure to emphasize on the not part. Just to make sure they got it into their minds.
................Amazing enough the two nodded swiftly, and spoke at the exact same time. “We understand completely and won’t make you do that ever.” Giggles followed right after and those little giggles came from Cassadee. I rolled my eyes in return to her giggles. I just stood there silent until my best friend could calm herself down enough to hear me out.
................“Please don’t tell me you two will become that kind of couple where you become too obsessed with each other. Please oh please tell me you guys won’t!” It felt odd to be begging this from the both of them. Life seems to like being cruel to me and only me all the time. It’s unfair in every single way.
................My two friends assured me before we got to the shiny silver corvette in the drive way that they wouldn’t be that kind of couple. Sighing with relief I couldn’t help but believe them. Yet as soon as I climbed into the back seat they began to be all ‘lovey-dovey’ on me. I had to cover my ears and try hard not to gag at what I could still hear. It was beginning to get very uncomfortable in the car for me because it was like I didn’t exist anymore to the both of them.
................Upon arrival the car slowed and once the car came to a complete stop, I jumped out of the car as soon as I possibly could. The two of them looked at me as if I was the crazy one. How insulting. But I gagged at them when they had gotten out holding hands and staring into each others eyes. But that didn’t last very long because soon after all three of us broke out into a laugh. Trying to get a hold of ourselves, we walked to the door and walked in.
................People stared at us for a while but then soon went right back to their conversations. Just as always we hovered to a spot in the house where all of us could just hang out. But as I suspected, Jason and Cassadee wondered off. Being alone at a party was something I always tried to avoid at all cost.
................I headed towards the large spiral staircase in order to find some peace and quiet. About halfway up some one had bumped into me. My blue eyes looked up to see who had bumped into me. Now seeing a tan, tall, well built boy smiling down at me. His black hair was medium length; bangs were parted to the sides. He just smiled a glowing smiled at me and I felt as if I already loved this man.
