I lay here in my bed, thinking of her. Remembering how beautiful she was, all the joy she always brought to everyone, how much I loved her. She was the most wonderful woman that had ever lived. She was a demon yes, but she radiated life, and love. Never once had she done wrong, and I believe she never would. Though I try not to my mind flicks back to the memory I would love to forget, but it always comes back to me. It was a beautiful day, sunny with a light breeze, in the forest watching birds, we sat together on a rock, hand in hand. She just smiled and gazed at the birds and I couldn't help but smile too. We sat there for what seemed like hours, until she stood and said we should get back home. It was getting late so I did as she said and we started down the path to our house. This seemed one of the best days of my life, but of course every good thing must come to an end. She raced ahead, challenging me to a race. I took up her challenge and chased after her, but as i got closer I saw a man just ahead on the road. As i got even closer I saw he had a gun, and was aiming it at my beloved. He fired and I could tell it hit her because her body gave a sick jerk and she fell to the ground. The man shot her five more times and fled, though i wasn't concered with the man at the moment but my beautiful sweetheart that was bleeding on the road. I remember that it had felt like I was running in slow motion as I watched more and more blood spill from her body. When I reached her, she was pale, and her hands cold. I cried for her then, I begged god not to take her from me, as her life slipped through my hands, and there was nothing I could do. I tried to stop the bleeding, but nothing worked, and she died right there. I carried her to the house and called the hospital, telling them it was already too late and to bring a body bag.
The funeral was two months later, which was August 13, 2007.
That was two years ago, and I still cry almost every night for my beautiful. I close my eyes to try and push the thought away, but I only see her, smiling and waving to me, giggling that angelic laugh. As I lay here I swear I could feel her presence in the room and her head leaning on my arm as she tells me she loves me...
