• Chapter One

    Ray's POV

My phone rang. I searched my purse for the noisy thing but I couldn't seem to fine it.

"Not again," I grumbled. This isn't going to work, I thought. I crouched down, in the middle of the parking lot, and started emptying out my purse, until I finally found it at the bottom. The caller ID said, "Mom."

I answered it with a smile, "Hey mom, don't freak, I'll be there soon; I just got off work."

"Rayneen! You promised you'd be here early! Angel is going to be here soon," my mom complained.

"Calm down, mom. You're not getting any older," I joked. My mom, Abby Tracy ─now known as Abby Beckett─ is a vampire. Freaky? I really don't think so, mainly because I grew up around them.

No, I am not a vampire myself, not yet at least. My mom isn't forcing me to turn, even though I know she wishes I would. I just told her I'll change when I'm ready, which at this moment I'm having second thoughts because I really don't feel like living with her complaining-self forever, but other than that, I love my mom to death ─ even though she can't die─ .

"Very funny, sweetie," she laughed, "C'mon, Ray, you promised your sister that you would come! This is really important to her."

"I know, I'm almost home. See you in a bit, I love you, mom," I said, and then hung up. Tonight, my sister is bringing her most recent boyfriend to meet the family, this is a first, considering her last boyfriend didn't even make it to the first date ─ stupid little two-timer─ Angel offered dinner, but I offered to go out and eat, just the three of us. I know my part of the family doesn’t eat, but I couldn’t tell her that.

Angel is my only sister and she has no idea what my part of the family is. I’m not allowed to tell her. We have the same dad, unfortunately. Her mom is my mom's best friend. My dad, Damien, slept with my mom and Sarah around the same time and got both of them pregnant.

Damien and my mom were together for about five years, right out of high school. When my mom found out he cheated on her, she kicked him out and her true high school sweetheart ─ her husband now, the one who turned her, and the one and only Josh Beckett─ stepped in and took over. I've considered him as my dad my whole life, because he was actually around when I was growing up.

There's a lot more in between high school and when I was born, but that is truly a long story.

As I pulled my lime green bug into my grandparent's ─ Josh's fake parents, Carlos and Yvette Beckett─ drive way; I saw Angel and her boyfriend on the porch. It looked like they just arrived.

I got out of the car and run up to her, "Hey sis," I gave her a hug, "So, are you gonna introduce us?" I asked with a smile. I looked over to him and saw him staring at us, wide eyed. My smile disappeared as I looked into his eyes. He was grinning at me, but I was too hypnotized to notice. Pink. His eyes were freaking pink! What the hell is that supposed to me?
"Ray, this is Alex Love. Alex, this is my sister Rayneen Amber Tracy."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," he smiled and took my hand for an ice cold shake. I quickly jerked my hand away and looked at it. It was tingling. I looked up at him once more and he smiled again.

Vampire, I thought. He just nodded slightly.

Angel just sat there, watching us stare each other down. She finally sighed and said, "Alright," she grabbed Alex's hand and locked arms with me, "Let's go meet the rest of the family." We both opened the double doors and walked into the front living room where everyone was sitting there, waiting for us.

    Ang's POV

What was that all about?, I thought, after I grabbed them away from their staring contest.

I smiled as we quickly opened the doors to revel our huge, but loving family, sitting there, waiting for us.

On one side of the room sat Ray's mom ─ my god mother─ and her dad, Abby and Josh. To their sides stood our aunts and uncles, Annie, Aaron, Jessica, and Daniel. Sitting together on a love seat were Josh's parents, Carlos and Yvette. They all smiled at us. Ray let go of my arm and walked over to her parents.

"Alex," I said, "This is Ray’s mom, Abby ─ she is also my god mother . And Ray’s dad, Josh." They just nodded at him and then I went on, "These are Ray’s grandparents, Carlos and Yvette," they waved, "These are mine and Ray’s aunts and uncles, Annie, Aaron, Jessica, and Daniel."

    "Hello." Alex smiled.

I turned to Ray’s side of the family and said, "Guys, this is Alex Love, my boyfriend." I smiled. They just looked at him. This is awkward… I thought.

"Okay, now for my side," I smiled and turned to the other side of the room, "This," I tugged him over to Sarah and said, "This, is my beautiful, and small mother."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, ma'am." Alex said, and then kissed her little hand.

"Oh! Gee, your just as freezing as Abby and Josh!” she giggled; Ray’s side just stiffened, what was up with them today? "My name is Sarah. I would like you to meet my husband, Alex, this is Jesse." my mom smiled at my dad.

"Hello." he shook his hand and Jesse shivered.

I continued as Ray and her family walked quietly out of the room, “This is my grandma Sue.”

    Ray's POV

“Vampire” I whispered as we were in safe distance from the other people in the house.

“We know, sweetie.” Yvette said to me as she squeezed my hand gently.

“Well, if you know, what the hell are we going to do?” I almost screamed.

“Rayneen Amber Tracy! Watch your mouth in this house!” My mom roared.

“What about his eyes? Why are his eyes pink?” I whispered.

“That’s the thing…” Josh began, “our family only hunts animals, so our eyes are green.”

“I know this!” I was getting frustrated.

“Ray, that only means one thing,” he whispered.

After a momnet, I understood. He hunts humans, “H-he, he can’t!” I screamed as tears stared rolling onto my cheeks.

“We can’t do anything to change his ways.” Josh stayed calm as he wrapped his arms around me for comfort. I pushed him away.

“Then what are we going to do?” I yelled. They just stared at me, that’s when I realized it, “Nothing,” I whispered, “You guys are going to do nothing!” I shrieked and ran out of the room.

I found myself running for the front door. As I raced through the front room, Ang’s side of the family stared at me. I reached the door but I hesitated before I touched the handle to leave.

I turned around to look at Alex and screamed, “If you hurt her in anyway, you’ll be sorry.” Then I raced to my car and took off driving and any direction. I had no idea where I was headed, but I didn’t care. I didn't look back as I saw people piling out of the house, I didn't want to know what was about to happen.

    Ang's POV

We chased after her, but she was long gone by the time we got to the drive way. I turned to Alex and glared, "Is there somthing that I should know about?" I asked coldy, looking into his deep, beautiful, pink eyes.

"Nothing. I have no idea what that was about." he said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh yes you do!" Josh roared from behind us. We turned quickly and Alex's arm snaked around my waist. He pinned me to his hip as he glared fearcly at Ray's side of the family.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, looking between Josh's eyes and Alex's.

"Maybe it's time we tell you something, something we should have told you a long time ago." Josh whispered

"That just helps me out, so thanks." Alex laughed.

"No. When she finds out what you are, she probably won't ever speak to you again." Josh snapped.

"She probably won't like you guys all that much either." Alex laughed again.

"I'd rather give up her love for her life." Josh hissed.

I snuggled closer to Alex's side as we all walked to Abby and Josh's house. I shook my head at my concirned mother and father, telling them to stay inside.

When we arrived at their house, we walked into the backyard and Alex and I faced Ray's family. They just contiuned to stare at each other for about five minutes.

"Okay!" I said, breaking the sclience, "What the hell is going on here?"

"Angel," Alex whispered, "Sweetie, I'm a vampire. We all are." he didn't let go of me as he said this, unstead he held me tighter. I don't know if it was the shock from it all, or the fact that he was holding me so tight, but everything went black and I fell limp in his arms.

    Ray's POV

I have no idea how I ended up here, I didn't even think I was driving all that fast or even for that long. But, for some reason, I ended up staring at the huge, electronic bilboard in time square.

My phone started buzzing in my pocket and I snapped out of my daze to answer it. I looked at the caller ID and it said, "Mom." I just shook my head and pushed the ignore button.

    Chapter Two

    Ang's POV

“She won’t answer her phone!” someone yelled from my side. I started to stir, then I opened my eyes. I looked around franticly, finding nothing but fimillar faces. I shut my eyes quickly, and I laid there with them squeezed shut.

Someone next to me grabbed my hand and held it in theirs. I knew it was Alex, I just didn't want to look at him right now.

"What do you mean?" Alex screamed, after a while of scilence.

Huh? I thought, No one said anything...?

"We can read minds, sweetie." Abby whispered in my ear.

My eyes shot open quickly and gave her a confused look.

"Vampires," she clarified, "All vampires can read minds."

"S-so, you g-guys are really all vampires?" I spoke for the first time.

"Yes, honey," Alex squeezed my hand softly and kissed my forehead.

"Hey!" Josh roared, "Don't touch her like that! You could be a danger to her at any given moment. You could kill her before she can even blink!"

"Oh calm down, Mr. I'm-so-scared-for-my-little-God daughter-and-not-my-own-fake-daughter. You handle both of them just fine, even when you've gone weeks with out blood." Alex said. How did he know this?

"I can read every thought he's ever had, every thought anyone's had actually," Alex explained, "It's very rare for most vampires, but there are more like me out there in the world. And," he turned to Josh again, "I hunted this morning, thank you very much. When was your last feast?" I shuddered.

"Well, at least I cherish the life of humans. Unlike you. You go through them like kleenex." Josh shot.

"Both of you!" I was angry, "Just shut up already!" I turned to Josh and whispered, "Do you hurt h-humans?"

"Of course not, sweetie." he came over to the couch I was laying on and rubbed my hair gently.

"Oh, yeah, that sure didn't stop you with your wife." Alex muttered.

"Now that," Abby got up, "was uncalled for. We didn't do anything to you but welcome you into our home and this is how you repay us? Bringing back the past? FYI, I told him to do it, and he did. Why is that so bad? Huh? You don't seem to spare anyone's life but your own. I'm suprised Ang has lasted this long, I smelt vampire the second she came home after meeting you. I was suspecious, but I got over it, that's why I was so happy too finally meet you. But I should have known you weren't like us."

That's when I noticed it. I looked right into Abby's deep, bright, green eyes and studied them closely. I looked back at Alex and gasped. What did the pink mean?

"Humans" Jessica pipped up, I forgot everyone else was in the room with us, Jessica, Daniel, Annie, Aaron, Yvette, and Carlos.

    "Huh?" I asked.

"He sucks the blood of humans," she said strait on.

I chringed away from Alex's hand and let go. I scooted closer to Josh's open arms and burried my face in his chest. I felt like a little girl again, when ever I would stay at Ray's house, during thunder storms at night, running to her parent's room and snuggling in with Abby and Josh ─mostly Josh─ because I was so scared. That was one of the rare things me and Ray didn't have in common, she loved thunder and lighting, I did not. Rain was lovely, but the other things that came with it were not so delightful.

I looked up in Josh's eyes and asked, "I-if he hunts h-humans, what d-do you h-hunt?" I hadn't noticed that I was shaking. Josh just simply rocked me back and fourth.

"Animals, honey, only animals," he tightened his grip around me and whispered, "I would never hurt you, you know that. I think of you and your sister as my very own daughters. You know this, sweetie." he cooed.

After a while, I fell asleep in his cold arms.

    Ray's POV

"Your total comes to... $1,573.93. Would you be paying in cash or credit?" the sales lady asked me.

Damn, I thought, I didn't think I would spend this much. I just shurgged and took out my credit card. Josh recently gave me this for whenever I needed money. At that moment I wondered how much it had on it.

It was accepted and I was on my way once again. I've been shopping for the last four hours and I was getting a little tired so I started to drive back to Rhode Island.

I arrived at my house around three 'o clock in the morning. I russled through my purse for my keys with my arms filled with bags from the days findings. When I finally fished out the keys for the front door, I opended it quietly with no such luck. I cursed under my breath when I saw the light in the front living area turn on, revealing my family.

"Rayneen, where the hell have you been and why haven't you answered your phone?" my mom asked, trying to control her anger.

"I was out shopping, obvoisually." I muttered holding up my arms to show her my bags.

"Why didn't you answer your phone?" she asked again.

"I was busy. Mom, dad, I'm freaking tired. Can't we talk about this tomorrow?" I huffed.

"Okay, sweetie," Josh said, "But don't try and avoid us tomorrow, either. The subject will come back up wheather you like it or not."

"Thanks." I whispered, and made my way to my room. I dropped my bags on the floor and shut my door with a little click. Someone on my bed stirred, and I looked up. Angel was sleeping soundly on it. I grabbed my pj's and left my room.

"Thanks for telling me my sister was here," I whispered, not caring if they heard me or not, I knew they did, "I almost woke her up."

I changed and brushed my teeth before walking back into my room and sliding into my bed next to my sister.

She opened her eyes just slightly and smiled, "Shh," I whispered, "It's just me, sorry I woke you up, go back to sleep."

She rolled onto her side and grabbed my hand and siged, "I love you, sis." she muttered, then fell asleep.

I squeezed her hand gently, "I love you, too." and at that, I drifted as well.

    Ang's POV

I woke up the next morning because of my stomach. Damn, I thought, I slept so much I never got to eat dinner. I rolled over and saw Ray. She was sleeping like a baby with her mouth open ever so slightly. Her hand was tangled with mine as she slept at my side. I studied her for a moment, only to be enturupted by my noisy stomach. I let go of her hand and got off the bed softly, making sure I didn't wake Ray.

I closed the door quietly and raced to the kitchen.

"Good morning," Abby smiled as she saw me run to the fridge, "Are you hungry?"

    "Yes, very." I laughed.

"Well, we keep food stocked for Rayneen, but she eats out a lot."

"So, she knows what you guys are?" I whispered.

"Yes, of course! Why would I keep that from her?" she asked.

"Oh." was all I said, I went back to my rummaging quickly. I settled for a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

When I finished, I took a quick shower and then I snuck back into Ray's room for some of her clothes. I would probably wear every single peice of clothing Ray owned, but I settled for white skinny jeans, black and white converse, with a white bikini top, under a black tube top.

I studied myslef closely in Ray's mirror when I heard someone say something. I poked my head out of her walk in closet and saw Ray rolling around, muttering things in her sleep. I giggled quietly and then I went into her bathroom again to put on some makeup and fix my hair.

I applied black eye liner, mascara, light eye shadow, and some lip gloss. I brushed through my hair and just let it hang strait.

As I was leaving Ray's room, I grabbed my purse and cell phone, kissed Ray on the forehead lightly, and then left her room quietly.

Abby and Josh were sitting in their living room, just talking.

"Bye, guys. I'll be by later to hang out with Ray." I said as I walked over to them.

"Off to work, I suppose?" Josh chuckled.

"Yeah, can I borrow your car? I don't happen to have mine at the moment." I asked.

"Sure thing." he gave me the keys.

"Thanks!" I cheered, I gave both of them hugs and kisses as I raced to the door with a smile on my face, "Bye, I love you!"

"Love you, too," they both said.

I hopped into the black corvette in the drive way and drove to work.

    Ray's POV

I woke up and found my bed empty. I looked at my phone and cursed under my breath. I got out of bed and went strait for the shower. When I was finished I went into my closet and put on black skinny jeans, white converse, and a black bikini top under a white tube top.

After brushing my teeth, my hair, and applying my makeup, I went into the kitchen for a glass of orange juice. My parents we just coming in as I was leaving.

"Bye, guys." I said as I grabbed my keys.

    "Uh, Ray─" my mom muttered.

"I don't have time, I'm gonna be late for work. I love you guys." I said as I was getting into my car.

I raced to work and got there with just minutes to spare.

I walked in the store and breathed in the fimillar seant, I always loved going into Abercrombie & Fitch, they sprayed their prefume everywhere.

"Hey, Ashley," I greeted one of my co-workers, "Where's my sis?" I asked.

"Hey, she's just in back opening the boxes of our new arrivals. You gonna help her?" she laughed.

"Sure, why not?" I giggled. I walked in back and saw boxes everywhere.

"Ray!" Ang screamed and threw her arms around me.

"Hey, sis, whatcha doin?" I smiled and let go.

"Opening boxes, wanna help?" she asked.

    "Sure." I replied.

When we were finished, we went out to the cash register where Ash was checking people out.

"Hey!" Ash laughed, "Now you two deffinatly look like twins!"

I looked at what Ang was wearing for the first time and started cracking up.

"Oh!" Ang giggled, "I guess we do."

"Wow," I said after my laughing fit, "I knew we had the same taste in clothes, I just didn't think we would wear the same thing!"

"Well, it's not really the same..." Ang pondered, "Just oppisite colors!" she laughed.

I hugged her again and took her hand in mine as we worked. We did this a lot, the holding hands thing, no one thought it was weird, just sisterly love.

Someone walked into the store just before our break, and everyone gasped.

"Hello, my ladies," the guy said. We both looked up from the counter and glared.

"What do you want, Alex?" Ang said coldly, I looked over at her, why was she being so mean?

"Hello, my dear," he smiled, then turned to me and said, "Your family told her what we are, and I didn't think she would be this dissapointed." he frowned. I gasped and looked over at her.

"Well, I didn't think you would ever hurt me. Guess I was wrong." she muttered.

    ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

    Ang's POV

He walked in the store when I was acutally enjoying myself. Why did he have to ruin my moment?

"You were having a moment?" Alex asked, "Oh, I'm sorry. Why don't I give you another? Your break is coming up soon, how about lunch? You can come along too, Rayneen." he offered.

    "I thought you didn't eat."

"For you, my love, I will." he grabbed my hand and kissed it lightly. I blushed madly and looked away.

"O-okay." I smiled and took my hand back.

"Well, my lady, I'll meet you in the food court. How does pizza sound?" he asked.

"Great!" I said as he hurried off. I smiled at his back.

"What do you see in him?" Ray asked, sounding annoyed.

"What don't you see in him?" I laughed.

"Well, for starters," she sighed and begain counting things off her fingers for drimatic afftect, "he gives you too much, he lies about a lot of things, he's acts like he's perfect, and he barely adresses me when he speeks."

"But, he is gorgeous, he looks at my eyes when we talk and not at my chest, he pays for the things I want, and he is super sweet!" I gushed.

    "She's right," Ashley laughed.

"So, are you going with me or not?" I asked Ray as I was stepping from behind the counter.

"Yeah, whatever, but only because he's paying and I want to keep an eye on you two." Ray said.

"Whatever," I laughed, "be back in 30, Ash."

"Kay, you girlys have fun!" she waved as I grabbed my purse and Ray's hand.

We reached the pizza joint moments later and I searched for Alex's beautiful, pink eyes.

"Over here, Ang!" Alex shouted from a booth in the corner and sitting at the table with him, was another guy.

    ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

    Ray's POV

Okay, I'm only going along with her because I need to keep an eye on Alex. She didn't look so happy with him when he walked in the store, and then all of a sudden, she's dragging me to lunch with her! I want to see what's up between these two, and a little lunch wouldn't hurt...

"Over here, Ang!" Alex called from a corner booth. He was waving at us to come over and sit with him, so we did. As we were walking, I noticed someone sitting across from Alex, a boy. His hair was the same shade as Alex's and his head was resting on the table. He lifted his head to see who Alex was talking to and I gasped when he turned to look at us.

Time litarly seemed to stop. The boy with light brown hair, perfect lips, strait nose, and deep, deep, mesmorizing, green eyes stopped time. He looked shocked to see me at first but then he looked away quickly.

"Ang, Ray, I would like you to meet my cousion Adian. Adian, this is my girlfriend Angel and her sister Rayneen." Alex said to the boy that looked depressed.

He lifted his head slightly. "I'm not depressed," he muttered.

    I gasped, "I-I didn't say anything."

    "Vampire." Alex chuckled.

The boy looked around franitcly and hissed, "Jesus! You're not supposed to be going around telling everyone!"

"Calm down, she already knows!" Alex said.

"But, but how?" he studied my face for any sign of vampire, but found none.

"Family," I sighed, "So, do we get to sit, or what?" I asked.

"Sure!" Alex laughed and scooted over so that Ang could sit down. Adian did the same for me, so I did as Angel and sat.

We ordered pizza and they talked. I watched them the whole time, the way they laughed and held hands. After a while I noticed Adian staring at me, this made me blush. Ang and Alex started getting closer so I got out of the booth and announced that I was sitting some where else.

"So," Adian said as came over and sat by me in the next booth over, "What do you think about vampires?" he asked.

I giggled, "Can't you read my mind? You would know, wouldn't you?"

He didn't know what to say to this, I sighed, then explained, "They're cool, I guess. I've been around them my whole life, so really it doesn't scare me."

    "Oh." he said.

"Hey, can I ask you something a little personal?" I asked.

    "Sure."

"How come you don't hunt humans like your cousin?"

He leaned closer and whispered, "So I could do this," then he planted a kiss right on my lips.

    Chapter Three

    Ray's POV

I broke apart from his lips and blushed madly.

"I-I have to go." I blurted and ran away.

"Hey!" Ang yelled after me, "I'll see you later, Alex." she muttered and ran after me.

I ran out of the mall and towards my car as fast as I could with Ang trailing behind me.

    "Ray!" she yelled, "What's wrong?!"

I jumped in my car and fumbled with the keys but I was to slow. Angel got in the car and grabbed the keys from me.

"What (gasp) the hell (gasp) is wrong?" she panted.

    "H-he kissed me," I whispered.

"Who? Adian?" she caught her breath and started to talk normaly, "What? When? How?"

"We were talking and he just kissed me out of the blue!" I told her.

"Damn. Uh, we still have work you know..." she muttered.

"Crap. Alright, lets just get it over with." I said, then got out of the car.

We walked into the store holding hands and, sitting on a couch in the middle of the store, sat Adian. He was speaking to Ashley.

"Well, you came just in time, here she comes right now!" Ash laughed.

"Adain." I muttered and sat next to him on the couch.

"I'm sorry," he said, grabbing my hand, "That was uncalled for and I knew I shouldn't have."

"It's alright, just don't do it again." I said, getting up and taking my hand back. I walked behind the counter and started moving things around that didn't need to be moved, I just needed something to do with my hands.

"Listen, let me make it up to you," he suggested, walking up to the counter, "Alex is taking Angel to the movies tonight, why don't you come?"

"I'll pass, besides, school starts tomorrow, why would I want to stay out late?" I said.

"Right, I forgot, you need sleep," he muttered.

"Yes, and so does Ang. So tell Alex she canceled."

"I do not!" Ang butted in, "I can get up early, even if I stay up late."

"That's not the only reason I'm making you cancel," I whispered.

    "Please?" she asked.

    "Whatever."

"Well, how about I take you to a movie this weekend?" Adian asked.

    "I have things to do."

"How you do know that?" he muttered.

"I'll give myself something to do! Can you just shut up and leave, please? I have work to do, and I'd rather not lose my job because of you." I said coldly.

"Alright. Sorry I asked," Adian left the store with his head hanging down.

"What the hell was that for?" Ash asked.

    "What?"

"Why did you reject him? Obvousually he likes you!" Ang hissed.

    "Ugh. It's whatever." I whispered.

    Ang's POV

After work I dropped Josh's car off at Ray's house and headed home.

"Hey, mom." I shouted as I walked through the door.

"Where have you been?" she asked franticly.

"Uh, I stayed the night at Ray's hosue and I had work today." I told her.

"Well, next time, call us! Okay? We were worried something happend to you. Did your sister make it home okay?" she asked.

    "Yes ma'am." I answered.

"Okay, good. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to either of you." she whispered.

"Mom, I have a date with Alex tonight." I told her.

"Okay, but make sure you get home early, remember, you have school tomorrow."

"I know." I muttered as I walked to my room.

I quickly changed out of Ray's clothes and looked around my closet for something nice to wear. I put on a black and white tang top, a jean skirt, and white flip flops. I hurried off to my bathroom to fix my hair and reapply my make up. I ended up having enough time to curl my hair, so I did.

Alex picked me up when I was finished, and then we were off on our date. I had forgotten all about the previous day because it didn't seem to matter that he wasn't human. Everything about him was, and just being around him made me happy, so really that's all that mattered.

    Ray's POV

School. A one syliable word for hell. I never really liked school, but it was something to do in my free time.

I searched around for Angel, I hoped that she got up this morning. Alex must have made her stay out late with her.

"Hello, there," someone said from behind me.

I turned to see Alex, holding hands with Angel, and Adian standing at his side, "Hey guys," I laughed at what Angel was wearing, "Twins again?" I asked her.

She looked at me and laughed, "I guess so!" we were both wearing skirts, plad tang tops, and black flip flops, mine was green and Ang's was blue.

I smiled, "I didn't know you were going to our school," I said to Adian.

He just shrugged. I wondered what was up with him.

"C'mon guys!" Ang smiled, "Let's go get our schedules!" she locked arms with me and dragged Alex by the hand to the table out front of the office.

    Chapter Four

    Ray's POV

I walked to Drama with Angel, while thinking of Adian. What was his problem? I didn't do anything to him but say no to his offer on a date. Why was that so bad?

"Hello class," my Drama teacher said, "Welcome back to High School! I hope you each had a great summer. In this class we will be learning the wonderfull genre of Acting!" she announced, to enthusiactic.

While she went on about what we would be doing throughout this semister, I continued to think of Adain. I needed to find out what was up with him. He was seriously getting on my last nerve.

Class ended sooner than I thought it would and I headed off to gym, I love gym. I didn't have this class with Angel, Alex, or Adian, so I hoped some of my old friends did.

    "Rayneen!" someone screamed.

I turned and saw one of my good friends, Beth, running towards me. "Beth!" I yelled. She jumped on me and we fell backwards.

"Ray! You don't know how much I missed you!" she laughed as we got up off the ground.

"Dude, I haven't seen you all summer!" I sighed.

"I know, I just got back from vactaion in Hawaii a few days ago! I should totally take you and Ang sometime!" she smiled.

"That would be super fun." I smiled.

    Ang's POV

"Bye sis!" I said to Ray after first period. I hurried off in the hall to look for Alex. I found him walking out of the weight room with Adian.

"Hey, baby," he said, then kissed me, "Where's your sister?"

"Hey, she went to Gym," I told him.

"Oh okay, let me walk you guys to your next class," he offered, since Adian and I have the same second hour.

    "Sure." I smiled.

I sat next to Adian in class, but he wasn't talking, at all, just doodling on his notebook.

    "Whats wrong?" I asked.

    He just shrugged.

"Seriously? Why won't you talk?" I was getting a little pissed.

He just looked at me and said, "Ask your sister."

"What does she have to do with this?"

He just shurgged again and went back to doodling.

After class, I went to the gym to look for Ray.

"Ray!" I said when I found her.

"Ang! Look who I have class with," she smiled as she showed me Beth.

"Beth!" I smiled and gave her a hug, I turned to Ray and said, "You need to talk to Adain."

"Why? He's the one not talking to me." she muttered.

"That's the thing, when I asked him what was wrong, he just said 'ask your sister'." I repeated what Adain had said.

"Oh. I have third hour with him so I'll see what's up. Bye, Beth." she waved as we walked away.

"Don't forget to talk to him," I reminded her as I dropped her off at her class.

"Okay, sis." we hugged and I was off to math.

    Ray's POV

I walked into class and looked around for Adain. When I found him sitting alone in the back of the room I went to go sit by him.

"Hey." I smiled. He nodded at me but didn't look up from his notebook. I leaned over his shoulder to see what he was doing, "What's that?" I asked. He just shrugged. "Okay, what the hell is your problem?" I asked.

He looked at me, shrugged and finally said, "You told me to shut up."

"Wha- When did I say that?" I asked.

"Yesterday, you told me to shut up and leave. I was about to go back to Boston, but Alex told me I was overreacting."

"Well, you sort of are. I was only kidding. You were embarrising me! What else was I supposed to say?" I whispered.

"Uh. Maybe, 'Yes, Adian, I would love to go to the movies with you this weekend!'." he said in a girly voice.

I started to laugh and the teacher noticed, "Rayneen Tracy, Adain Smith, care to explain what's so funny?" Mr. McCool asked.

I choked back my laugh and said, "It's nothing." I smiled at Adian.

"Actually," Adain cut in, "This is something I would like to share."

"What the hell are you doing?" I whispered to him as he stood up.

"Proving a point," he whispered back, he cleared his throat and took my left hand, "Rayneen, will you pretty please go to the up coming Forever the Sickest Kids concert?" he asked, loud enough for everyone to hear.

I blushed ten shades of red, "Shut up and sit down!" I whispered.

"No. Not until you say yes!" he smiled. Some people started telling me to say yes, I wanted to so bad but I just couldn't.

"Ugh. If it makes you shut the hell up and sit down, yes. I'll freaking go with you. Are you happy now?" I muttered, my cheeks still hot.

"Yes, I am happier than you think." he laughed and then sat down, my hand still in his.

"Alright, now that that is over with... let's get back to Biologly," the teacher sighed.

I looked at Adain again and sighed. He smiled at me and squeezed my hand gently, not letting go.

    Ang's POV

Lunch. My savior. I had absoutly no classes with Alex, so I was glad I at least got forty minutes with him out of the day. We walked into the cafeteria, hand in hand, with Ray and Adian no where in sight.

"Are you hungry?" Alex asked me.

"A litte," I muttered, getting in the lunch line with him.

"Where do you think Ray and Adain are?" I asked after a while of sitting alone at the table with him.

He smirked and said, "Oh, I have an idea."

    Ray's POV

"So, how old are you really?" I asked Adain, while he lead me down a desearted bike trail that sat close to our school's park.

"For real? Three thousand years old," he laughed.

    "Seriously?" I gawked.

"No, I'm only kidding. In one month and seven days I will be offically, 133 years young," he smiled.

    "Wow," I muttered.

"My turn!" he sang, "Uh. What's your favorite color?" he smiled.

"Green," I smiled back. I guess you could say we were playing twenty questions while skipping school together. "Is Alex your real cousion?"

"Yes, he is actually," he admitted.

"Really? Wow, did you guys like get turned at the same time?" I said excidedly.

"Nuh uh, I believe it's my turn," he teased, "Hm... How are you and Angel sisters?" he asked.

"Same dad. He cheated on my mom with her best friend A.K.A. Angel's mom, Sarah, and got both of them pregnant."

"Wow. But you guys look more than sisters! You guys look like twins!"

"Nuh uh," I mocked, "My turn!" I grinned, "How did you become a vampire?" I asked him, stopping at a nearby park to sit in an old, yellow swing. Adain sat in the one beside me.

"Well, when I was seventeen, I went on a day trip to a ski lodge with my cousion, Alex. We both had a really great time together and everything, and our day was slowly coming to and end, when we meet this guy named Shane.

"Shane was like the best friend I never had, he was the coolest guy ever. But, it was only a day trip so we had to head home after they day was over. I wanted to go up the mountain one last time, like I had a millon times that day, so Shane went with me," he stopped and stared off into the distance.

"It was so cold," he whispered, "I got stuck at the top and almost froze to death. The only way down was for me to turn into what I didn't know Shane was... when he bit me, I couldn't feel a thing. That was good for me at least."

He looked at my blank expression and smiled. "Damn," was all that came out of my mouth.

"My turn!" he cheered, I giggled. "So," he smiled and got off the swing to stand in front of me, both hands on the chains of the swing. He leaned closer to me so that our faces were just inches apart. "Am I to close for you?" he whispered, blowing his sweet breath in my face, I could taste it in my mouth.

I smiled and muttered, "No, not at all. And now it's my turn, because that counts as a question." I stiffled a giggle and whispered, "What would you say if I asked you to kiss me?"

"Well, I would say that your turn is over and," he cupped the side of my face with his cold hand and muttered, "and I would say that I thought you'd never ask." With that, he pressed his lips to mine and held us like that for the time being.
