• Sophie shot out of bed. Her dark bangs spilled across her face like blood on clean snow. She had just awoken from a dream in which an odd man had asked her the time and given her a pocket watch.
'Crap! I'm gonna be late!' She thought, leaping from her soft mattress and to her dresser.
After a mad dash to get ready she sprinted to HQ. The members of her squad were waiting for her.
"Ah, so you've decided to join us?" Said Evan, the leader. Sophie rolled her eyes mentally.
"It seems I have." Sophie replied level-headedly, brushing the bangs out of her eyes.” Anyway, what are we doing today?”
“It seems that a private school has been over run with animal-like robots.” Evan said.
“What the…?” John yelled. He was a hot headed high schooler.
“Your disguises are on the table you have fifteen minutes to get changed. Go.” Evan pointed at the large round table in the middle of the room.
“I can’t get dressed in that time! What are you thinking you creepy old man?” Shot Victoria, the only one who was ever well dressed. One look from Evan and she made her way across the room to get dressed.
After changing into the uniform she had been given Sophie went back into the main room. A few people were done changing. She sat in the corner, waiting.
“You are to take these I.D’s. Don’t show them to any one unless they ask.” Evan held up some paper. "Take these schedules. Only break into the school if you must. Take the bus. I will have some one drive the Hummer with all the weapons you should need. The bus is waiting outside. GO!”
Everyone rushed to The Leader. He handed out badges and schedules. When everyone had both they stacked their hand in a pile.
    “For The Order!” They shouted.
They all piled into a bus. Sophie was next to John. It was a bit awkward. John didn’t attempt to make any conversation. They finally arrived at a fancy-shmancy school. They pulled in behind another bus, one that seemed to be a bus from the actual school. It was a bit fancier and more updated. Sophie hoped that the condition of the bus wouldn’t give them away. She filed in behind a blonde girl with an iPhone. She felt out of place.
She checked her schedule and saw that she needed to go to Room 504. She soon found it and saw that she was the only one from her group. She sighed. A large, smiley woman came in.
“Oh, well who are you now?” She said with an Irish accent.
    “U-umm. Well I’m n-new.” Sophie stuttered.
“Oh, Well why don’cha introduce yourself to the class then?” She smiled.
“W-well, Okay…”Sophie walked to the front of the classroom unsurely.
“My name is Holly. Holly Black. I just moved from…”She looked at the map at the back of the room. “Phoenix, Arizona. My dad’s job moved him here.” Of course, all of these were lies. In The Order they’d taught everyone how to lie.
“How long will you be staying here?” Someone shouted from the back of the room.
“Not long.” That was the truth. With no warning a large, metallic feline fluidly leaped through the open door. Everyone froze. Sophie felt her heart skip a few beats. When Evan had said robot she thought chunky, blocky animal like robots. She’d never thought they would be so…smooth. She didn’t want to ruin it for the sake of its sheer beauty. But she had to. It was her mission. She felt for her dagger. When it dawned on her that she didn’t have it, that it was in the Hummer, she swore. Loudly. The feline looked at her. It looked so…intelligent. She noticed a dangerous looking charm on someone’s bracelet. She hastily took it. All the person could do was look at her. The feline came dangerously close to her. She struck out at the robot. It recoiled a bit. It hastily recovered.
“SOPHIE!” She looked at the door. Standing there was John, holding a formidable blade that looked like it had been the elegant love child of a dagger and a pistol.
