• The start of this story was erupted from a single question. "Do you know Goosebumps the tv show?" We shared our faves and said how it would be awesome to make a movie with that title. My fave was 'The Ghost Next Door.' We are not stealing any content from R. L. Stine only the title. 'Ghost Next Door.' We hope all of you will enjoy this first chapter. Please comment!

    ~David Fredrick smiled at his new house. At the breaking point of his twenty’s he finally got his new house, but was forced to leave his girl behind.

    ~A old fashion Victorian home, remolded to look like it’s previous one. Painted perfectly and not a shingle out of place.

    ~Smiling to himself he walked inside and out to the backyard.

    ~Woods cluttered in the open backyard. In the distance he heard children yelling and giggling. He smiled. Over beside him a barbeque was going on.

    ~“Hey neighbor!”

    ~David turned to see who had shouted. Over the wooden fence David could see a head bobbing above it. Tan skin and short black hair. David waved nicely and looked around. He spotted a wood stump and sat it by the fence. He climbed atop of it and could see the whole backyard.

    ~A old swing-set stood on one side of the backyard. There two children swung side-by-side, giggling. The little boy jumped off and kicked a soccer ball beside it, hitting David.

    ~He stumbled off the stump and could hear a women scolding the boy. He could also hear the girl giggling. Regaining his balance he picked up the soccer ball and tossed it back over.

    ~”Hey!” Shrieked the girl and the boy laughed.

    ~David climbed back on top the stump. “Sorry,” he muttered smiling sheepishly.

    ~The man chuckled and the women smiled. She had long black hair all the way to her waist. The boy looked like the mom and the girl looked like the dad.

    ~The man finally spoke. “I’m Edwin and that’s my wife Niki,” The women smiled and waved. “The little booger over there who hit you is Robert.”

    ~”Hey!” Robert protested.

    ~Edwin chuckled again. “Over there is Rosalyn.” The little girl from the swing
    set waved as she rubbed her head.

    ~David smiled. “Nice family,” he said.

    ~Edwin smiled and asked. “Care to come over?”

    ~A frown fell across David’s face. “I wish, I have to unpack before sundown.” He told Edwin. “Maybe sometime later this week?”

    ~Niki smiled. “Perfect!” David heard a ball bounce and someone shriek.

    ~”Mom! Robert hit me with the soccer ball again!” Rosalyn wined and Niki sighed.

    ~Taking his cue David jumped down and started taking boxes inside.

    ~On one box he struggled to get it upstairs. Letting out a sigh of relief he dropped the box on the wooden floor and looked up. “Nice room,” he mused and went down stairs unpacking room-by-room.

    ~When he finshed with the downstairs he looked up and groaned. Who knew it’s so hard to unpack a house? Trudging upstairs he walked into his new room. Slowly he unpacked everything and set it in it’s place.

    ~When he finished he collapsed on his bed. “I’m not even done yet!” he groaned. “I’ll finished tomorrow!” He moaned taking off his shoes. “Too much work!” He slid under his sheets and sighed. “So tired,” he muttered and fell asleep quickly.

    ~~~
    ~David looked around. “A b-beach?” He stammered, confused. Out of the corner of his eye a figured walked toward him. He turned face the figure and his mouth dropped.
    ~It was his Bella! He ran toward her only to hug thin air. “W-what?!” He looked around. “Bella? Bella?! BELLA!” He screamed as tears rolled down his eyes. Devastated he walked away only for the scene to shift. Around him were woods.
    ~”Hello?” He muttered curious now. A figure appeared in front of him, prettier than his Bella. His mouth dropped and reached out to see if she were real. Her figure shimmered.
    ~ In a ghostly voice and very harmonic it spoke. “I'll be watching you….”
    ~Startled David woke up. He yawned and stared at his clock. 9:02 a.m.
    ~”What a dream. I wonder who she was….”
