• ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER ONE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I was there. Somewhere unimaginable. The place where anything could happen.That one place where i felt content. As i watched my trusty companion frolic through the grassy moors i thought i saw something. Not anything particularly frightening but something that i hadn't seen in a very long time. My Dad. At first i was glad i had seen him. Then i realized that i was slowly being filled with remorse. I hadn't felt like that in years upon eerie years. but yet, i was still partially glad to see him. Just i remembered. Handsome hazel hair, beautiful green eyes, rosy red cheeks, but there was something different about him. An almost ghostly look. As if he weren't really there, but as if i was imagining him. I knew i wasn't . How could i be? i WAS awake wasn't i? or could i be dreaming? No. i was awake. or was i?

    "Honey wake up. It's time for school. Get up Alyssa," My mom called.

    "Wha-?Where am i." I called back as she took my covers off of my stone cold body.

    "Wow. The dream again, huh?" she said sarcastically.

    "Haha. Very funny. Yes, it was the dream again. but this time it was different, i could actually see him. Usually it's just a voice but this time it was the incredible appearance that grabbed my attention. Not only was he handomse but, he was young again, Mom. I could see him this time," I retorted in reaction from the sarcasm thrown at me. I could have sworn i seen him. He really was there. I know it. I could feel his presence unlike any other time.

    I was walking downstairs to eat breakfast before i noticed Loke sitting on the sofa. Loke was my boyfriend-to-be. He just didn't know it yet. I loved him more than anything in the world. I don't think anything could have changed that.

    "Hey, Alyssa. Your up early,"He said with a smile of relief."I thought you were a goner." I glared at him, with my tiny scratched tongue hanging out like a toddler does to his friends to insult them.

    On my way to school i figured I would try and convince Loke that I had no idea what he was talking about when he mentioned the dream i had had the night before. He knew i was having dreams. He just didnt know what they were about. Everyone here was normal. i wasn't. They were all sly, mischevious, some what frightening. I didn't know if i wanted to make friends, or to keep to myself and completely ignore the fact that the day before my purse got stolen.

    "Oh no! There she is! Hide me Alyssa!,"shrieked Loke as Mahriah passed by, not noticing us even standing there.

    "Get off me Loke. It's kind of freaky that you can't just walk up to her and say hi. You're always hiding behind me. It's getting rather annoying," i retorted as he made me hide him. I didn't want to have to tell him that, but i would've had to eventually.i don't think i could have dealt with it again. I love him. He just doesn't know it. Plus, he doesn't like me back so i can't tell him. I just can't. I can't take any chances of complete and utter humiliation. If only he did love me back.

    I sat in my usual seat next to Jonathan as history class began. I was in the 11th grade. So history was just all repeats of what i already knew but had a little more spark to it. As if i had completely relearned everything for the first time. I was actually rather excited to be at school. Just for the simple fact that i wouldn't have to deal with my mother. She got pretty annoying during the day. Never really did anything. Hardly made chit chat. But for some reason, i felt like she wasn't a mother. More like a sister. I don't know why but i didn't want anything to do with her. That sounds kind of harsh but it's the truth. I don't.

    "Alyssa, are you listening or would you like me to repeat myself?"Said Mrs.Anderson, my history teacher. I had barely noticed that i was zoning out.

    "Oh. I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention. What was the question?," I called back while everyone was staring at me unsure of what I was going to say next.

    "It wasn't a question. I simply said that Alyssa has an A in history and everyone just stared at you. As if you were an unknown creature of some sort," She retorted.

    "Oh, I'm sorry Mrs.Anderson. I didn't realize you said anything. I was too busy thinking," i said once her blabbering stirred to a halt.

    "Care to explain what you were thinking about? I'm sure if you can zone out and interrupt class than you must have been thinking of something important. Am i right?" She suggested.

    "Well yeah, it was important to ME but not to any of you guys. I'm afraid i can't tell you what i was and still am thinking about,"I said at an attempt to shut her up.

    "Hah. Funny girl. I guess you won't mind zoning off in detention then do you?,"She said with a smirk.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER TWO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I was there again. I've loved the dreams so far. I just haven't found the source of all these dreams. I need to know why these are happening. If I could figure out why, I could make the dreams stronger.
    "CLEAR," I heard a weary voice say as something cold touched my bare chest.
    "Why hasn't she waken up yet," I heard another female voice say.
    "Stop! Stop! Get off me! Where am I? What's go-- What's going on," I yelled as the people in blue and white and green gowns were running around with a bunch of emergency equipment. I jerked my hand and ripped an I.V. out of my arm. "OW! What's going on?" I screeched, realizing the pain in my mid-arm.
    "Honey, Stop it!" I heard my mom call. I didn't understand what was going on. I don't even remember how i got here. Even if I'm not quite sure where i was to begin with.
    "Tell me what's going on! Where am I? What are they doing to me?" i called back to her. I was scared.
    "Your in the hospital, Alyssa. Don't you remember what happened?" She retorted.
    "No. I don't." I said, wondering what's happening.
    "Ugh. i told them you wouldn't remember. Loke said you tried to jump over a small gate and your shoe got caught. You went tumbling down and hit your head. Fairly hard." My mom explained.
    "Loke? Where's Loke?" I asked, knowing she would wonder why. Once i said it i regretted it. She would want me to explain why i wanted him with at this sort of time.
    "Um, He's at the cafe. Why? Want me to go get him?" She asked with a little sarcasm in her voice. Yeah, i regretted it. She hesitated a little bit but soon got to get him.
    "No, Stay here, Mom. I need someone to hold my hand," I told her while she walked. I wanted Loke here to hold my hand. But that would make her wonder more, so I left him alone while he ate or whatever he was doing down there, in the cafe.
    "Well, don't you want Loke to hold your hand? After all, you are in love with him," She called back.
    "What? How did you know that?" I asked in curiosity. How did she know that?
    "You were sorta repeating you loved him while you laid there. I don't wanna make matters worse but he heard it. He's kind of thinking things over. That's why he's down at the cafe." She told me. My face turned bright pink. I can't believe my little secret got out.
    "Oh my god! He knows? Uh-Oh." I retorted, kind of angry at myself. This wasn't good. It could be if he felt the same. I had to ask. When we were alone of course, but i had to, no matter what my mind wanted me to do.
    "Hey Alyssa. How ya feeling?" I heard. I immediately turned away to hide my face from his beautiful complexion. I started to blush. Red cheeks in all and started to talk.
    "H-H-Hi. I'm doing okay, I guess." I called back.
    "I'll leave you too alone." My mom said, with a crooked smile.
    "Can you turn so i can see your beautiful face, Alyssa? I need to talk to you about. . .something." He retorted as he grabbed my cheek.
    "O-Okay." I called back to him, as i turned to look at him.
    "So--" He said before i cut him off.
    "I know, I know. you found out didn't you?" I said, about to cry.
    "Yeah." He said in a low, soft voice.
    "I'm sorry." I retorted.
    "For what exactly?" He called back to me.
    "For loving you." I said to him, almost to myself.
    "HA HA. Well, truth is, I've kinda had a crush on you since 8th grade. I was just afraid you didn't feel the same way." He told me, partially embarrassed. I began to blush again.
    "No, you don't. You like mariah. Don't try to make me feel better because I tripped in front of you." I retorted.
    "Hm. How can i prove it?" He asked in a low voice like before.
    "You can't." I told him, mad at myself.
    "Oh, but i can." He said, voice raised.
    "No you ca--" I said before i got interrupted.
    "Shh." He retorted. Then he leaned in to kiss me. It was a short but satisfying.
    "How's that?" He asked. I pushed myself up to kiss him again. This was a longer kiss, though. When i finally took myself off him, I was out of air and gasping.
    "Calm down. It's just a kiss. We'll have more time to talk things over when you get out of this hell hole. Get some sleep, okay?" He told me. I was beginning to faint. But he pulled me in for one last, passionate kiss. "Get some sleep, Hun. You gotta be tired."
    "Okay." I retorted. I tried to get one last kiss but he turned away.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER THREE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    She couldn't sleep. She couldn't stop thinking about Loke. She began to think that he was screwing with her head. It made her sad to ruin her perfect day so far; set aside from the tripping thing. She really wished the day wouldn't end. But she soon fell asleep.

    The dream was happening again. As Alyssa sat there dreaming, she realized that something was different. Loke was in it! She started to squirm. She was weirded out and excited. All of the sudden he burst into flames and fell to the floor, smiling. It went from a dream to a nightmare. She began to cry. Then screaming.

    "Alyssa! What's wrong! Alyssa! Alyssa!" She heard. Her arm kept shaking out of control. "Alyssa! Wake up!

    "Ah! Loke! No! This can't happen! No! Ah! Loke!" Alyssa said, screaming her head off as she sa there watching Loke die a fiery death.

    "Honey, It's okay! Alyssa! wake the hell up! You're starting to freak me out!" Said the same voice.

    "What's happening!" Alyssa yelled at the top of her lungs.

    "Alyssa, wake up!" The familiar voice said frantically. Alyssa started waking up.

    "Ugh. Loke! You're alive! Oh, thank god!" Alyssa repeated over and over again.

    "It's okay, Alyssa. I'm here. I'm here. What happening to you?" Loke asked with extreme curiosity.

    "You died. How are you not dead?" Alyssa replied.

    "You must have been dreaming or something because I'm clearly not dead." Loke replied with a little chuckle.

    "But you died. You must be dead. I saw you die." Alyssa retorted, still crying.

    "It's okay. You were dreaming. Go back to sleep. No. Don't go back to sleep. Stay awake." Loke started to say, confused by what he should and should not let her do.

    "I can't. I think i need to sit on your lap or lay on your chest." She lied. She was perfectly capable of staying awake without him.

    "Are you serious?" Retorted Loke.

    "I don't have a choice. If you want me to stay awake then I have to either lay on your chest or sit on your lap." She called back trying to hold back her smile.

    "But we're in a damn hospital." Said Loke still a little confused.

    "Well then I'll fall asleep and wake you up again. Your choice." She said to him.

    "Ugh. Whatever you want." retorted Loke in curiosity. Loke stood up and slid onto the bed with Alyssa. She could tell he felt awkward but she didn't care. As she moved up to sit onto his lap, lie she wanted.

    "Thanks." She said with a crooked smile.

    "Yeah, Yeah. Now try not to fall asleep, please." Loke called back.

    "Okay." She said. She knew she'd fall asleep eventually. Loke yawned and soon began to nod out.

    Five minutes later Loke was asleep. Alyssa yawned a few times and started to doze. Before she fell asleep completely, she kissed Lokes cheek, smiled, and then shifted her position a little bit. Soon she was asleep.

    Alyssa slept through the dream perfectly fine. Once she woke up she noticed that she was no longer on Loke like the night before. She started to panic and freak out. "Loke! Loke, where are you?!

    "Alyssa! Stop freaking out like that!" Loke replied to Alyssa's frantic behavior.

    "Oh. I thought you left me here to be alone. Thanks for not ditching me. But why didn't you stay under me?" Alyssa retorted, a bit angry.

    "Because you fell asleep and I woke up. My body began to go numb because you were dead weight. Sorry." Loke explained.

    "Are you trying to say that I'm heavy?" Alyssa joked. Of course she wasn't heavy. She was actually in very good shape. She had an hourglass figure.

    "No, no, no. Not at all! You are actually quite light. You were just dead weight. That's all." Loke replied, trying to convince her that she wasn't heavy, but the exact opposite.

    "Okay. Thanks. Well hey, when do i get out of this place?" Alyssa asked with a spark of enthusiasm.

    "Today. In about 3 hours we can talk." Loke retorted at the question.

    "Okay." Alyssa said. She pulled her head up to kiss Loke. Loke reacted as soon as he could. He immediately pulled her head to his and kissed her.

    "Mmm." Alyssa said. "Gimme more." Then Loke dropped his head to kiss her again.

    "Hey, what're you doing!" Alyssa's mom said as she walked up to Alyssa, joking around.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~CHAPTER FOUR~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Well, You're free to go," The doctor said to Alyssa. "You check up to be fine. But don't go in any water for a few weeks, it'll open the sore.
    "Okay, thanks." Alyssa replied. She was really glad that she got to go home. And she got to 'hang out' with Loke.
    "Loke, let's go." Alyssa said to Loke, with a smile.
    "Yeah, let's go." Loke said, returning the smile.
    "Easy you two. I don't want you guys to get TOO close. I don't want two 17 year olds with a two year old baby. Careful guys." Alyssa's mom said, seeing the smiles on their faces.
    "Mom! We're not gonna get that close! I don't think." Alyssa retorted at the embarrassing comment made by her mother.
    "Ha ha. I promise, we won't get that close. We'll at least wait 'til we're married okay?" Loke replied.
    "Okay, okay!" Alyssa's mom retorted at the reassuring statement.
    "Thanks for not pushing it, Mom," Alyssa said.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Chapter Five~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "I'm afraid you have cancer. I'm very sorry." claimed the doctor that had been treating her during her stay at the 'wonderful' hospital.

    "Wha-what?" Alyssa muttered as she began to cry that was rapidly turning into a weep.

    "I'm sorry, ma'am. But there's nothing more we can do. I'm truly sorr-"

    "What do you mean there's nothing you can do! You guys are just lazy. You guys are a bunch of pricks!" Allysa's mom retorted fiercely and angrily at the doctor.

    "I know this may be a little startling but there realy is nothing we can do." The doctor claimed over and over as Allysa's mom continoud to yell at the doctor and nurses.
