• 'Why...?' It was all she could think as she stood there. Her legs stiff but unstable with fright, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. Her right arm stretched out leading to a semi automatic glock, her finger trembling on the trigger as it shook in a motion around his chest. Her white milky eyes locked in a stare with the man before her a mere five yards or so away.

A long barreled pistol pointed steadily at her chest. His blood red eyes did nothing but blink, not a tear nor a flincher in his disposition. He looked so at ease, shoulders relaxed his head titled back ever so slightly as he stood to the side. His hand stern with his finger holding the trigger as if it were a close friend. His short blond hair seemed so caressed by the breeze, and for a split second she thought to had seen him smile.

”Why?” She cried quietly, ”why does it always, have to end like this..?” her collected tears trickling down her bruised and dirtied cheeks. She shook her head slinging her tears away as her chopped, pale creme hair floated around her face. Her other hand clutched her aching opposite side more as her right shook noticeably.

The girl couldn't help it, she quickly straightened herself and regained what composure she had had as her body tensed. Her arm began to twitch so she held it more firmly with the other, her whole world beginning to fall down around her. Tears ran down her cheeks and her chest heaved with her every breath. Unclear thoughts clouded her mind as her glance was caught in his once again. He had no faults, no flaws or blemishes as he stood ready.

He spoke but a moment, “Oh...poor love~..” as he watched her mental state break a part. He said it in such an amused tone as he tilted his head, a soft smile playing with her mind. He got shear pleasure from watching her fall so far from where he had set her. He had built her up so far to just wait for the day when he could shove her off the edge. He couldn't help himself, he just had to smile; just had to laugh.

Her eyes grew wide in her surprise, in her horror. All of a sudden and all at once she stood fast gripping her gun with as much might as she could muster. But much to slow she was as in a blink of an eye he had pulled the trigger with ease. Her gun dropped and clattered to the ground as she flew back in a stumble. It all seemed so unreal as searing pain shot through her chest, her vision blurring in pain as blood splashed in the velocity of the impact.

Thoughts scrambled as her knees hit the ground, her hand gripping her chest. She slowly glanced up at the man before her, smoke expelling from his pistol. She parted her hand from her chest, blood covering the pale palm of her hand and fingers. She blinked tearfully, as her eyes closed once more, her body collapsed backwards onto the ground. Blood quickly clouded the area around the hole in her blouse, a puddle slowly spreading beneath her, soaking into the earth to leave its bloody stain.

The man tucked his hair behind his pointed ear and laughed manically before putting his pistol away. He walked casually over to the young girl's lifeless bleeding body; as she bled out her warm silky skin faded cold and white. He stared down at her body, pulling a cigarette from behind his other ear. “Oh love..tis in my nature. That, is why..” He raised the cancerous stick to his thin lips to suck as he lit it up with the other hand.

He tucked his lighter away as he pushed his hands into his pockets. He then turned and began his walk away, raising his right hand as in a wave, “Until next time, love...farewell.” And as if a wonder, he burst into lovely white rose petals, flying gracefully with the morning breeze.
