• When Sam saw Dawn walk in the room for the first time, his heart melted like butter in a frying pan. Dawn bounced into the room with a smile that reminded him of childhood innocence. He had to know this girl. He got up from where he sat at the party and walked to her. She looked at him with the purest blue eyes. She looked down once, and when she looked back up he could tell she was trying to hide her blushing face. He took the moment to brush the blonde hair with green high lights out of her face. It was from that moment on that Sam belong to Dawn. She could do no wrong.
Dawn was a broken girl with a destroyed heart and ruined dreams. She’d run away at the thought of love. When Sam met her, she just had her love thrown in her face like it was some sort of disease. Sam fought to have a spot in her life. He found it difficult to be around her, but he knew that with patience she could be pieced back together.
Sam was there when she cried so hard she’d puke. Sam remained there when her spurts of madness hit. He held her when she cried over the ex-boyfriends. He listened when she ranted about the life that passed her without stopping. He only gave advice when she asked it from him.
Time passed and passed. Sam remained loyal to Dawn. Many people would comment on how he was wasting his time. Sam gave them no attention. He kept being her shelter through the rain. When the storm hit, he made sure that he was the strong shelter she would need.
In time, Dawn came around to Sam. She came to trust, although all of her told her not to do such a thing. Dawn came back together. She began to love Sam. Dawn allowed herself to open to the thought of being his girl.
It has been years now. Sam still belongs to Dawn. In the spring they will be married for two years. Sam still breaks down and cries when he looks at her because he believes he is the luckiest guy alive. Sam belongs to Dawn and now to his unborn daughter, Rose.
