• It’s Friday the 13th in October. A young girl was jumping on her father’s bed early in the morning trying to wake him up.

“Wake up daddy it’s your birthday,” cried Vincenia, still jumping on the bed.
Vincent Valentine didn’t want to get up and out of bed. He wanted to sleep. He knew it was Friday and that… It was his birthday!! That made him jump out of bed. He just realized that that wasn’t good. Vincent looked at Vincenia, who was still on the bed laughing.

“I’m awake now, Vincenia. You didn’t wake me, though,” Vincent said, slightly shaken, as he looked around. Vincenia got of the bed and ran to Vincent.
“What do you mean daddy? I’m confused,” she cried tugging on his pants.

“I know your confused, Vincenia. It’s Friday the 13th and worse, it’s my birthday. I have to go away for awhile, so I’ll have Reno and Rude watch you, ok,” he said, a little scared. “I’ll be back in the morning.”

With that said, he left leaving his little girl in the apartment by herself. Vincenia started to cry like crazy because she didn’t want her daddy to leave her. Reno and Rude got there 5 minutes after Vincent left.

“Oh she’s crying,” Rude sighed.”You can cheer anybody up pal.”

“Hey, Vincenia, wanna go play in the park,” laughed Reno, patting Vincenia’s head.
Vincenia just nodded and reached up to be picked up. Rude picked her up and walked to the park. There was a chill in the air that made Vincenia shiver. Reno was being goofy and tripped himself, landing face first in the ground. Vincenia laughed at Reno’s stupidity. Rude just shook his head.

“It’s a bit too cold for the park, Reno,” remarked Rude. “I think we should head back to Shin-Ra before she gets a cold. We don’t want Vincent to flip out at us.”
“Fine, Rude. You’re no fun,” Reno groaned. “Your right about what Vincent might do to us, though.”

Vincenia cried nonstop when Reno and Rude were going to the Shin-Ra building when Vincent suddenly appeared and stood in their way. Vincenia cried and leaving the Turks to run to her daddy. Vincent just growled and turned away, then began to walk off.

Cid was working on something for Reeve when he paused momentarily. He turned his head and saw Vincent, who seemed to be not acting quite like himself.

“Hey, Vincent, how ya been?” shouted Cid, placing a hand on Vincent’s shoulder.
Vincent used his claw and hit Cid across the face, knocking him done, and then vanished suddenly. Cid was in utter shook, trying to figure out what just happened.

“What the hell?! Was I just hit in the face…by Vincent?” Cid mumbled to himself.
It was then that Vincenia appeared, running to Cid and hugging him. Cid lowered his gaze down to her.

“Daddy is crazy!” she cried, still hugging Cid.

"You can say that again.” He sighed, hugging her back. “Let’s go to 7th Heaven and tell the others.”

Vincenia nodded and looked back at the Turks, who had accompanied her there. She smirked and waved goodbye to them while Cid picked her up and started towards 7th Heaven. She was slightly scared when her father appeared suddenly and took her from Cid’s grasp.

“No one takes my child from me!” snarled Vincent, tightening his grip around Vincenia’s belly. He wanted to go somewhere with his only child. He loosened his grip on her, since he’d heard her cry slightly in pain a second before. He got somewhere safe and started to cry like he was in pain tears filled his crimson eyes and dripped down his beautiful pale face. Vincent looked at Vincenia; a tear fell from his chin and onto her cute little face.

“Daddy, are you ok?! I’ve never seen you cry!” Vincenia exclaimed, wrapping her arms around her father’s neck. Vincent’s eyes opened, and he lowered his gaze to his daughter, still hugging his neck.

“Let’s stay here for the rest of the day, okay, sweetheart?” He said coldly, still looking at Vincenia. He hugged her and laid down against a tree, placing her on his belly. Vincenia curls up into a little ball. He smiled lightly as he laid his armored hand over her.

“I love you so much; I never want to get rid of you.” Vincent sighed calmly, but silently. Vincenia smiled and uncurled to look up at her father’s face.
“I love you more than anything, Daddy.” Vincenia chirped cheerfully while she uncurled from her little ball. “Happy birthday, Daddy. You’re the best father a girl could ask for.”

“Thank you, Vincenia. You’re the best daughter a father could ask for.” cried Vincent as tears appeared in his crimson eyes and started to roll down his cheek, falling off his chin. He was so happy that he couldn’t contain his tears. He held his daughter close to his chest over the mantle of his red cloak.

They both fell asleep under the tree Vincent laid down under. He had Vincenia near his face. There was a soft smile on his pale face as he slept. Vincenia had a smile on her face and laid on her father’s chest sound asleep. Over head the moon was out and dozens of stars sparkled in the lovely night sky as father and daughter rested.
