    Chapter 1-The Encounter


    Pitch black.Then there's me.Just floating in the middle of nowhere, all alone.Three lights flashed in front of me.Blue, red and gold, circling at every sight , then they stopped.They shot forward and aimed for my heart.As I screamed I felt different...not quite myself anymore.i heared an annoying buzzing, it was just a dream but, 8:00.Oh no! I'm late for school! I'm always late for school, so I quickly put on my uniform, ate my breakfast and ran straight out of the door towards the dismal beige building known as school.
    I knew I would be late so I kept running then I felt lighter than air and flew...HOW CAN A HUMAN FLY!.Flailing my arms I glowed, gold.This was strange.I zoomed all the way to school and i was on time.This was a first, just wish i knew how i did it.
    First lesson.Physical Education, and my friends and I are cluless of what to do."Hope we're doing something decent."said my friend, Louise.
    "I'm not really bothered."I said.
    The over-muscular teacher kept staring at Louise and me.
    "Right!"exclaimed Mr Marshall.
    "You will all do a race and if you come last, you will get a detention!"Louise and I gulped in fear, whilst the smell of sweat permented the air.We all took our places for the race, but one girl was staring at me.
    "I'm gonna win, I always win and your gonna lose, Emma!"Sarah declared that if I was going into war?
    On your mark, get set...GO! I ran as fast as I could prove Sarah wrong, but I was losing my breath.Hold up...I'm now going blue, well glowing anyway and I was fast.Super fast?I felt kinda sick.
    First place, YES! Take that Sarah."Emma, that was amazing."said Louise.
    "Sir! Sheobviously cheated!"Sarah shouted and then went into a strop.Well I'm glad that's over.Second lesson was Art and that zoomed over in what seemed like five minuets.
    Break time and Sarah waltzed over like an over-weight elephant.
    "MILLER!"
    "Oh man, what now"
    "You cheated in that race!"
    "No I didn't"
    "Yes you did!That's it!I'm gonna hit you so hard!"This always happens if I do something better than her.Stroppy cow.She shoved her fist near my face and then..redness filled my mind, I was enraged and then BANG! I kneed her in the stomach.A huge silence came across the courtyard.
    WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! First it's the freaky dream and now this.Wait a minuet...the dream.It was real and now I'm a freak?!.
    As the school day ended, I felt insecure and uneasy.I'm now a magnet to the weird.When I was home, my dad said to me"What's wrong?"
    "I don't know, I just feel weird"
    "You shouldn't because you're trying you're best"
    "Huh?"
    "Oh, Emma could you walk the dog?"
    "Sigh, okay"
    "I've been laking with your mp3, I think it's broken"
    Oh, great.Now my dad's messing with my stuff but my mp3 was glowing.Red, blue and gold.What a coincidence.Another weird thing.I quickly put my mp3 around my neck and headed off.
    Todd, my dog was busy playing around, but the ground was shaking.I shuddered to think what would happen to me and Todd.Up in the sky was an egg-shaped man with a long mustache spoke very loudly to me"Ho ho ho, Give me the pendant! Now"
    "Who are you? what do you want?"
    "How rude of me, My name's Dr Eggman"more like Dr weirdo! CRASH! A massive, metallic robot appeared and grabbed me and entangled me in it's electric arms.
    I felt like I was a goner.Nothing could help me.ZOOM! A blue flash but it's not a flash, It's a blue hedgehog? Now this just got freaky.
    "Hurry up and transform!"the hedgehog yelled.
    "How do I do that?"
    "Use the thing around your neck"
    I followed his command.I quickly grabbed it and words came into my head and everything went blurred.
    "Team Sonic...SPEED!" I broke free from the robot's grasp and all I could see was an aray of deep blue.I landed of both feet and then I...wha? Now I truly am a freak! I have HEDGEHOG EARS! AND A TAIL! and my outfit was out of the ordinary.
    "Look out!"shouted the hedgehog.I shot away from the robot ehilst it was trying to crush me.
    "What are you?"I said.
    "I'm Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog"he proclaimed.
    "What's your name?"
    "Emma Miller"
    "Well Emma, you've just become a Generation"
    "Right...so how am I gonna beat this thing?"
    "Use your power"
    Easier said than done but I don't know how! I'm just a kid.More words in my head.My attack was now realised.I showed my right hand and then I shouted "Sonic Shock!" Blue lightning blasted out of my hand and the robot.KABOOM!Gone in a puff of smoke.
    "Woah...That was cool, Sonic"
    "Blasted!"said Eggman.
    "I'll get you Sonic!"he shot away in a tiny pod and that was it.
    "So, what do you think"Sonic sounded pleased.
    "What do you mean?"
    "You're a Superhero now!"
    No.I'm a superfreak! but I guess I have no choice.
    "Sonic, I will help you from now on"Sonic let of a big grin.
    "because I am now Generation Sonic!"
    "YAHOO!"at least Sonic was happy.
    "Hey Sonic,can I ask you something?"
    "What is it?"
    "How do I change back!"
