• I ran back even though my feet were bleeding. It didn't matter if I walked, but this was the least painful way to get back. So many questions were buzzing in my head. Why did he run if he had another gun? He could've killed all 3 of them and wounded me. Which brings up another question. At that close of a distance, he could have easily killed Seth. But he aimed for the shoulder and spared his life. Why? What was a vampire worth to him? And also, what happened before? But the one that seemed to bother me the most, no matter how hard I tried to rid myself of it, was who was he? Obviously not Serious. At least from the way I remembered him.

I broke through the woods and proceeded to the front porch. The door was still open like I had left it. Odd. The second I stopped, m legs gave way underneath me and I hit the ground. My feet were burning due to the fact tat they were bleeding, and probably infected. "Erg..." I said as I looked at my feet. There were multiple slashes where the rocks had cut them, all had stopped bleeding. I looked around. Nobody in sight. Where did..." I started to ask but then heard footsteps running down the stairs. I turned and looked through the open door to see Jacob standing at the foot of the stairs, his green eyes dart to me.
"Did you get him?" He asked anxiously.
"No. He disappeared into the woods."
He muttered something to himself then proceeded to walk torwards me. He stopped at the sight of my feet then proceeded to throw questions at me, worridly.
"How did you cut your feet?"
    "Running."
    "Are you bleeding?"
    "No."
I started to crawl past him into the house.
    "Does it hurt."
    "I'm fine Jacob."
I collapsed next to the couch and grimaced.
"Do you need me to carry you?"
"No. I just need to bandage them then I'll be fine."
"Do you want me to do it for you?"
"Enough!I'm okay Jacob so stop worrying!"
That seemed to be enough to shut him up. He hurried off into anohter room and brought back some gauze. He tossed the roll at me and I quickly sat up in a sitting position, catching it. I started to wrap up my left foot.

    To be continued...
