    ~Nijix’s Mind~
    “I need to get this girl to Sky Village before I grow too attached.” I silently spoke to myself. I always get to attached to this people I help, why me? And it always ends the same way, they die by my brother’s hand and I can’t do a single thing about it. Just like Raiya, that last mission that me and her had was to kill Kino, and I fell in love. I can never hold her, touch her, kiss her. Nothing, I could not stop it.

    ~Flashback About 4 years Ago~
    Raiya held on to my arm, her red hair swayed in the wind, her smile bright as the sun and the way she moved was like the wind meeting it’s brother the water.
    “ Do you think we will survive this mission Nijix? I mean when we finish what will we do? “ Raiya asked me sweetly. I smiled at her, I laid my head on her left cheek bone, and placed a kiss on her forehead.
    “ I don’t know, get married? Have beautiful children, who have their mother’s eyes? Doesn’t that sound great?” We both laughed, I always made these kind of jokes but I really meant them.
    “ I was thinking going to the meadow where we first met, and appreciate what we have so far in life. Then get married, have kids and blah, blah. “ Raiya laughed at the last part, we walked to our favorite tree that had our names carved into its trunk. Raiya leaned her back against the mighty tree, and closed her eyes listening to the wind. We kissed deeply, and when I backed away Raiya have a smile upon her face.
    “ I already appreciate you Raiya. There is nothing I won’t do for you. Nothing, I swear.” I smiled, but that smile would not last long, Raiya screamed as Kino my big brother stabbed me in the shoulder, I yelled in pain, dropping to my knees. Raiya already started to fight Kino.
    “ You b*****d can’t Nijix ever be happy without you ruining it all?!!” Raiya took out her twin daggers and scratched Kino up real good. Kino blocked and ducked, he finally tripped Raiya and stomped on her stomach, Raiya yelped and kicked him. He lurched backwards, just enough time for Raiya to gather her belongings. She stabbed him in the arm 3 times. He yelled and punched her in the neck, Raiya dropped her weapons, Kino grabbed her neck. I- I was hurting so much, I couldn’t move, the last thing I saw before I blacked out was.
    “ Raiya…your mine now.” Kino grinned a evil grin. Raiya struggled to get free from Kino’s grip. She was kicking in the air.
    “ Let me go! Let me go! Nijix get up!! Nijix get up!! Please Nijix!!” Raiya begged. I started to stand but Kino kicked me in the face, knocking my lights out.
    When I woke up, Kino was gone from sight but Raiya was by our tree; a trail of blood was on the ground. She dragged herself there, her clothes were tattered and ripped. Her chest heaved, ready to give out.
    “ Nijix…please..come here…. I can’t feel my legs…or arms. I feel so cold.” Raiya stammered weakly. I pulled the knife out of my shoulder and limped to Raiya, I fell onto her lap, my head rested on her lap, she stroked my silver hair.
    “ I knew I would die today. Nijix I really knew, please forgive me for not telling you. I love you so much. I always did. And always will. Look at me for the last time Nijix, the very last time. “ Raiya breathing was getting shallower. I looked into her once blue sparkling eyes, now they were dull and lifeless. She took her last breath and closed her eyes, like she was asleep.
    “ Please…..please Raiya…..Raiya. Don’t leave me…. We were going to get married, have kids just like we wanted. Raiya I love you, don’t go. Don’t go.” I begged but I already knew it was too late. Too late to save my beloved Raiya. I buried her right below our tree, to this day I visit on the same day she died. On her grave I wrote:
    Forever Beloved, Raiya Monstu, The Purest Of Hearts.
    ~ End of Flashback~
    “ I’ll make it up to you Raiya. But killing Kino and not let Akira die. I promise myself this. Raiya, wherever you may be, I love you forever.” I told myself. Akira was looking up at the sky in a daze, I blinked my eyes and Raiya was standing beside her, looking up and smiling, she stretched out her hand towards me. Her lips mouthed the words:
    “ Don’t avenge me, my love.” I started to grab her hand but instead I poked Akira.
    “What?! I girl can’t look up at the sky?!” Akira yelled at me, her eyes were bloodshot from crying, I just noticed. I just looked at her.
    “ Nothing…come on it’s getting late and we haven’t made any progress. Move out!” I told her and walked away, but as I did. I wondered why Raiya’s spirit told me not to kill Kino.
