• As Ari slid onto the frozen ice, I stayed behind. "Aren't you comming?", he asked, stopping at his tracks. I looked down at my white skates, stained with black sharpie and blue laces, I responded, "Sorry. I just can't skate very well". I looked back at him, but his black eyes where kind and gentle. "Well that's okay. Here, I'll guide you", he said smiling. Ari skated over and reached his hand out. I bit my lower lip. "C'mon, its just a hand", he said. I grabbed his hand and carefully stepped on the ice. He pulled me in front of him and gently grabbed my shoulders. We had a few minutes of silence while skating around the pond. "Hey, you're doing really good at this", Ari complimented me. I looked up into his eyes again. "Thanks. It just takes some time for me to get used to it", I said. There was a strand of his loose, deep dark chocolate hair and hooked it back onto his ear. "Um, thanks". I hit a bump on the ice which caused me to be clumsy. Ari tried to keep me up, but eventually we both ended up slipping. He landed on his back and I layed against his chest. He tried to hold in a laugh, and we both exploded out in laughter. Then we stopped. "I love you", he said. He leaned his head closer to mine and kissed me.
