Sakura stood quietly in the library as she pretended to look for a book, but her thoughts were elsewhere. Ever since coming back from the mission of bringing Sasuke back she realized something she didn’t want to admit to herself. Even though he was only going to cause more pain she couldn’t let him go. She would rather be chained down with agony then risk losing her intense feeling of love towards him by forgetting him. Never had she felt this way before and she didn’t want it disappear.

Her hand reached for a book above her and she laughed at the irony of it- Sleeping Beauty. To be awaken by love’s true kiss and live happily ever after.

“Well,” her face contorted in frustration and a forced laugh came out,” What do you do when your true love is the monster holding you captive?” She slammed the book back into the shelf and took in a shaky breath, “How unfair…”.

She was so wrapped up in her world that she jumped out of her skin at the slight tap of a book on the back of her head.

    “Sakura, what are you doing?”

Sakura turned around as Kakashi bent down into his typical reading position, continuing to read his book. She didn’t say anything because she couldn’t just her voice yet.

He glanced up at her,” Are you doing something naughty?”

“No-,” she grabbed his book away-

    “Hey-“

-“I’m not like you, Kakashi-sensei. What is so great about this book?” she gave a disgusted look at what she saw.

“You’ll understand when you get older.”

“I’m seventeen. I’m not a child anymore, Kakashi-sensei,” she sighed and gave him back his book, but he suddenly stood up which caused Sakura to jerk back in surprise.

“Is your bad mood because of Sasuke?” he smiled, “ You’re quite annoying like this.”

Kakashi took the book from her while her face was full of shock.

“That was uncalled for,” she snapped back, a major blow to her heart,” Besides, even if it was, its none of your business.”

“Come on, Sakura, you can tell Sensei. I doubt Naruto would be of any use,” he smiled under the mask knowing the problem was Sasuke and how Naruto didn’t exactly have kind feelings toward him.

She quirked a brow, “And why should I tell you, Kakashi-sensei?”

“Because I’m your Sensei,” he leaned against the bookcase and started reading again.

“Hey, that’s rude,” she crossed her arms.

“Tell me, Sakura,” again, he didn’t look up.

    “No.”

“You’ll feel better, Sakura, “once again he kept reading.

    “No, Kakashi-sensei,” she stated firmly.

He looked up and sighed, then sat down to read again. He patted the spot beside him, indicating for her to come sit by him.

“Fine,” she moved and sat down beside him,” but I’m not going to say anything.”

“See? Sensei isn’t that scary,” he smiled and patted her head.

“I’m not a child,” she smacked his hand away.

“I know,” he turned to his book again.

Honestly she didn’t want to think, let alone talk about Sasuke. She just wanted to do something that didn’t involve Sasuke.

“Kakashi-sensei, what do you look like under that mask?” she turned to him and he looked surprised by her question.

“Would you like to know, Sakura?”

    “Uh, I guess?”

“Close your eyes then,” he closed his book.

    “Why?”

“Because that’s an order from Sensei.”

“Fine,” she sighed and closed her eyes. However, he still wasn’t saying anything and her legs were becoming numb. She felt impatient and annoyed now so she slowly opened her eyes only to gasp.

    “Sensei, where did you go?!”

    “Behind you, Sakura.”

She whipped around in surprise,” Why did you-!”

His lips skillfully captured hers sweetly, but the kiss ended quickly as it had come, his mask covering his face.

“…” Sakura sat stunned from his action and from the fact that she didn’t even get to see his face. Now she really wanted to know!

“I-I didn’t get to see your face! What was the point of that?!” she snapped back at him trying to hide her embarrassment and joy. She could tell her face was on fire and her heart was pounding like crazy.

“The point that Sensei was trying to show you was,” he stood up, picking up his book from the ground, “you should listen to orders the first time they are given because then the team will succeed with desirable results.”

He calmly walked away leaving a baffled Sakura on the floor.

“That was my first kiss,” she mumbled, touching her lips. It was definitely not how she had planned to have her fairytale kiss, but-

    “Close enough,” she smiled.

    The end
