• She circled him as if he were her next victim. He stood, straight faced, trying to show he wasn't afraid. Though to her, she saw everything. With each one of her graceful cat like steps a bead of sweat formed on his head. She licked her lips and swallowed. Her tall figure stared at him as she circled. She moved quietly and cat-like. But she was far from a cat, she was much more, deadly, as she liked to put it. She was now behind him as she continued to walk in her circle. She grinned with delight noting that he didn't turn around to watch her. She laughed quietly, his ears perked up as he swallowed.
"Don't make eye contact." he told himself.
"Fear." she whispered into the cold, dark air. She inhaled sharply as she was now to his right in her circle. "You reek of it." she said in her smooth voice. One foot steeped directly in front of the other. Her hair covered one of her silver eyes, but she could still see him. "DO you know why you are here?"
    He refused to answer her.
"You're not prey, at least not yet. Right now I am your superior, you listen to me." she whispered to him.
    "What if I don't listen."
"You may be his little favorite, but right now, you are under my control. And if you think he will stop me,"
    "I know he won't."
"Smart." she said with a grin. "Just so you know if I do intend to hunt you, you had better be ready to run."
    "I won't run like a coward."
"It's not running like a coward." she snapped at him in her velvet voice. "It's running to try to get your life."
    "I'll fight you."
"You know you can't kill me. He wouldn't let you, even if you could. I'm stronger than you." she said once more proceeding to circle him.
    "Why am I here?"
"You should know by now, my lord has asked me to teach you. My natural instincts of course said no. However since my lord has fallen ill he forced me to."
"If you are really as independent as you say you are you could have said no."
"And risk him killing me. He's probably the only one who can. However I am still more deadly than he is."
"So kill him while he's ill."
"No, that takes half of the fun away." she said grinning. "Hunting is how I like to kill. Gives my victims a false hope."
    "Doesn't seem fair."
"Killing doesn't have to be. Are you still afraid of blood?" she said now pausing directly in front of him. She turned to face him, he just stared behind her. She bent down and pulled a long silver knife out of her boot and brought it to her forearm. The cold metal blade made a thin cut and began to spill blood.
The scent reached him and he began to breathe heavily. "Greatest smell in the world." she said as she ran two of her nails down the cut. A faint blue light followed her fingertips and sealed the cut.
He began to breathe out his mouth as the smell of blood still lingered in the air.
"What makes you think that I'm afraid of it."
"Your proving it to me right now." she said as she appeared behind him. She rested both of her hand on his shoulders, her warm breath on his neck sent chills down his spine. She inhaled his scent of fear and sweat. "Prepare to run." she whispered to him as she stepped away from him. He turned to face her. She stepped away, fading into the darkness. Her eyes were closed, something began to build inside her. "Run my prey. You may not have long."
He looked for the easiest way out. His eyes whipped back and forth. Eventually he took off. She laughed once more to herself, though it was quiet it echoed through the open space that surrounded her. Her eyes shot open and she took a few steps foreword. She crouched down, leaning on her right hand that now came in contact with the cold ground.
"I'm coming for you." she whispered into the empty darkness.
