• The Eight Guardians
    [Prologue]
He crashes through the castle wall and slides across the brick floor. He slowly arises from the rubble surrounding him, covered in gashes and blood. There was a wound above his left eyebrow continuing to his temple. There was blood running in a streak down his face impairing his vision in his left eye. It flowed down his cheek and dripped off his chin. His eyes were a dark crimson red with black mixed in, and he was panting heavily. A knight wearing dark teal armor holding a huge Zwheihander across his back walked through the hole in the wall. The injured gut grunted as he knelt down to pick up his sword. When he touched the sword it lit up in flames. He stood back up. “You really think you can beat me!” he shouted angrily. He leapt forward and swung his blade hurtling a wave of fire towards the knight. The knight responded by planting his sword into the ground. His sword was as big as he himself and it easily deflected the flames around him. The area around was scorched black. As the flames passed the swordsman jumped forward preparing his downswing. The knight lets out an evil laugh and catches him by the throat. “ Is that the best you got?” said the dark voice. He tossed the guy aside and he slides across the ground into a mass of bricks. He crawls up on his hands and knees. In between breaths he asks, “Who are you?” This time the knight responds in a voice that matches his exactly in tone, quality, and sound. “ You mean to tell me you haven’t figured it out yet. I’m you, only stronger and I have complete control over our abilities.” “Is that so. We’ll have to see about that.” the bloodied man taunted. He got up, his eyes more fierce than before. The black slivers in his eyes were growing, consuming the red. Before the transformation was complete his eyes flashed into a forest green. His body relaxed. He walked parallel to the knight and asked, “ Do you know what green does?” “That was the only color we couldn’t figure out.” the knight mused. “We!” The swordsman barked, “You act like you know me. You’re nothing but a sinister creation made to assist an evil creature bent revenge.” His eyes instantly flickered into a dark deep red. He inhaled a slow deep breath and then slowly exhaled, His body once again relaxing and his eyes fading back into there forest green. “Fine.” the fake spoke menacingly. “ I’m your darkness. The great evil that lives inside you. Happy? You’ve gone and spoiled my fun. I wanted to play with you for a little bit but now I guess I’ll just kill you.” he paused. “ Then you’re friends are next.” he laughed. “ That’s fine by me, but first you gotta kill me.” He dropped his sword and put his hands on his back. He was ready to draw his handguns and open fire.
“ I’m waiting. Take you your best shot!” he again taunted the knight. The knight charged, blade held ready.
    [Encounter]
BAAANG!!! I jump out of bed and immediately drop down sweeping my weapons out from under my bed. I glance around and catch my reflection in the mirror. My yellow eyes switch over to green. I examine my shirtless lean muscled body. Around my neck hung a chain necklace with a tribal symbol. A curious frown flickers across my face and I start to mess with my dark crimson black-red hair. How often to people wake up to an explosion going off in there own house. Oh! Right. Explosion. I jump up to my feet positioning my handguns next to my face as I creep down the stairs. I stop before the opening into the living room. I hear a wooden clack, leap out, and aim in the direction of the sound. Agito was standing in a pile of splintered wood laughing. He had droopy black pointed hair, red eyes, he looked like Ryu from Street Fighter but in all black, and he wore chest, arm, and leg guards. His voice was dark and his personality could be described as pitch black. “You’re going to shoot me are you Alex?” he asked, as if he didn’t already know the answer. “I should but that wouldn’t help seeming as bullets wont kill you.” I replied lamely. He dusted himself off. “What do you think of my Hell grenade?” He waited, analyzing my expression.” What do I think? I think that hell grenade just got you clean-up duty.” I said smirking. “Alright.” he agreed. I eyed him suspiciously. “Well with my super speed It’ll be done in no time.” was his response. I was surprised by this. “ You’re really going to clean all this up?” I asked curiously. “You’ll see” he replied. “Alright then. I’m going out for breakfast.” I hollered down the stairs. I got dressed in my grey cargo pants, my weapons belt, which was holding my dagger and two handguns, a black T-shirt, and a large silver coat concealing the weapons. When I finished I leapt from my two story balcony and landed in a crouched position with a hand planted on the ground. I stood up and walked to the side of my house with the missing wall. “Are you sure you got this?” I asked unsurely. “ By the time you return it’ll be gone.” he said blankly. “Alright then. I’ma go get breakfast. Oh. Tell me if there are any job postings.” Agito just nodded.
Waffle house isn’t my favorite place for early morning food place but it’ll do. Sometimes the smell of syrup can be too overpowering for me. The chime on the front door rang. I looked up. A stranger in a dark blue cloak shrouding her body and veiling her face and a high school aged girl with blonde hair and olive green eyes walked in. Must be new students or something. I couldn’t help as to feel that blue cloak seemed familiar. I could feel my cell-phone vibrating. I reached into my right pocket and pulled out a small silver phone. I flipped it open. “Yes Agito? Are they any good? Alright. I’ll be waiting for them at the edge of the forest.” I flipped the phone shut and slid it back into my right pocket. I stood up, put on my glasses, threw some money on the table, and left. I hopped onto my motorcycle. It’s similar to a Suzuki but bigger, there are two tires on the front and back, and it’s silver with black trim. A look over at the orange Dodge Charger with black stripes next to me and rev the throttle while holding the brakes performing a 180 tailspin, release the breaks, and take off.
    [Alex’s House]
(Agito) “The pieces are set. All that’s left is the explosion putting the game into motion.” Agito said triumphantly. A figure arises from out of his shadow. She’s slim with beautiful brown eyes and long brown hair. She has on a black T-shirt, brown slacks, a scythe strapped to her back by a ball and chain, and black knuckle gloves that cover her hands except for her ring finger. “Your finally here Satomi. It took you long enough.” Agito said with annoyance. “So do I get to kill him or not?” Satomi asks curiously. “No, I wish to thank the fool for freeing me personally.” Agito said menacingly. “ Go and find them in the forest” I demanded
    [Edge of the forest]
(Alex) I turn off the bike and knock down the kickstand. I get off and lean against my bike with my hands in my pockets waiting for my challengers to show up. I look up at the cloudy covered sky. Why am I wearing sun glasses?. I remove my glasses as the same orange Dodge Charger that I was parked next to comes drifting sideways onto the dirt of the forest edge and slides to a stop. From the driver’s side Blue cloak steps out and from the passenger side it’s her friend. Blue cloak raised up a six chamber revolver. I spin around as a bullet whizzes past me and take off into the forest with the other girl following parallel to me. Another three bullets strike the trees next to me. I run for about a quarter mile and emerge into a dessert like field in the middle of the forest. To my surprise Blue cloaks friend emerges from the forest less than a second after me. She has to have some sorta skill to keep up with me in those dense woods and not even break a sweat. She wastes no time and immediately lunges at me with her right fist drawn back. I put my hands in my pocket and take a simple side-step to avoid connection but she quickly swings a left hook. I take a back step dodging her swing and she follows with a high roundhouse kick and I duck. “Stop holding back! “ she yells as she lands and goes for a quick dropkick. I take a huge leap backwards and then remove my right from my pocket dusting the front of my tan cargo pants off. “what’s wrong? Can’t hit a girl.” she taunts with a menacing glare. I meet her glare with a serious one and simply nod. “Aww, how chivalrous. This is going to be easy” she taunts confidently.(Blue Cloak) Sel lunges at Alex but feints and places one hand on the ground and goes a dropkick. This time she connects and Alex falls back into a roll and his handguns This time Sel anticipates his next move picks up his guns and follows his roll. As he comes up on his feet he is met with a powerful uppercut that throws him back several feet because of the momentum. He removes his other hand from his pocket and pushes himself up off the ground. Sel holds up both guns and lets them rock side to side on her fingers. “ How’d you get those? There mine, give’em back!” Alex whines. “So he speaks.” Sel said sarcastically. She must've grabbed them while he was knocked off guard. "Now!, Stop holding back!" Sel screamed at him and raised both guns. He takes a stance placing his left foot in front of his right pointing it forward. His right root is turned sideways pointing to his right and the distance between his feet is about a foot. His body is turned sideways and his right hand is raised up to chest level, his hand is halve closed and limp. His other hand is in the same position but at waist level; just like I remembered. Alex had green eyes, dark red hair, he was about five-ten, is seventeen, and a very skilled fighter. His occupancy is being a bounty hunter and a bodyguard. Royal families would hire him to protect themselves or there children thus his nickname the Royal Guard. He dedicated a fighting style to it but now he’s mostly freestyle.
