Hatred is a powerful emotion, In ways more powerful than love. It was much easier to lose your mind because of hatred than because of love.
The metallic clang of blood-soaked swords was the only sound, other than the breathing of two equally blood-soaked swordsmen. The younger of the two still merely a child, the other an adult in nature since his own violent childhood. The child life was driven to defeat another of the same flesh and blood. The older felt something between self-disgust and fatherly adoration for the young one before him.
"You've grown strong, Riku." Sephiroth face contorted into something that could have been a smile, "Your mother might have feared have you."
"She won't though because you killed her!" Riku swung at his father, "Well Sephiroth didn't you?!"
"I won't deny killing the pink whore." The ashen haired man blocked his son's attack lazily. "But even so, I can inform you. You would have never turned out so well if I hadn't."
"You call my being a monster being well?!" The green eyes of the boy's mother, gained the snake like slits of his father, "You're proud of the darkness in my heart?! The darkness you caused! The reason the keyblade chose my idiot half-brother over me!"
"Fascinating. You seem to know more about that woman's spawn than I expected." Sephiroth bit his lip, the reason for him killing the boy's mother was so he did not know of these things.
"How could I not! He looks just like that man! And his age who's else could be?!" Riku attacked again, magic reacting to his pure anger, causing most of the half rebuilt Shin-Ra building to collapse.
"Now, Now boy. You don't need to destroy Edge. I simply did what I thought was best for you." Sephiroth smiled again, his boy had turned out very well indeed. He barely reacted as the blade plunged into his chest.
"Why don't you fight back?!" Riku pulled the sword out his father's chest and thrust it into his stomach, "Why not?! You old b*****d!"
"I will never be a memory now."
