• A Mad Man's Wish

"Alice! Wake up!" The young teen snapped her head up, her sky blue eyes opened wide in shock. There before her was one of her beloved companions. She sighed heavily and ran a hand through her ebony locks of hair. The other adolescent eyed her suspiciously.

"Something the matter my insane friend?" she questioned. Alice shook her head and averted her eyes towards the tree above her head. A cool breeze tousled the teen's hair as her mind began to wander once again. A scene began to play through her mind. A scene of a man with an insane looking top hat and rabbit with white as snow fur. A memory that almost seemed real.

"Hey Kimi, do believe there's an opposite world to this one? One with talking cats and maybe exotic creatures like toads that look like cymbals?" Her eyes went wide at the statement then she laughed.

"You have quite the imagination Alice. Honestly, where do you come up with this stuff?" The black haired teen smirked and shook her head, placing her arms behind it.

"I don't know. I just saw an image of a Mad Hatter and a . . . white rabbit." For a long moment, the young woman gazed at the large branch above her head. It reminded her of something important. She looked past Kimi with a perplexed look. "Kimi, I think there is such a place," she murmured, her eyes turning as wide a monster-truck tires.

At that moment, Alice took off into the forest. Her body acted on it's own as she ran deeper into the forest. Branches and limbs cut at her face and legs, her breathing becoming heavier. Her heart raced against her, the feel of it beating against her ribs felt as if it were to burst from her chest at any moment. Her eyes were wild. Her mind throwing itself against her skull. Everything was a blur to her at the moment.

Suddenly, her face came in contact with the ground. The sound of her heartbeat pounded in her ears as her head began to clear, her vision returning to normal. A voice called out her name as she began to rise to her feet. "A-Alice . . . it's really you." She looked up.

There, standing before her was the White Rabbit. His hazelnut eyes widened as his white ears perked up just in the sight of her. He wore a white suit with white coattails and a golden pocket watch chain that draped neatly across his vest. "Come. There isn't much time. We must get back to Wonderland," he said, his arm wrapping around Alice's shoulders and waist.
