• “Look at this, it says Reina will be starring in a new movie with Raiden and…” Some girls were looking at a magazine. I swear, I should call them the magazine gossip crew. I rolled my eyes.
“Riku, you want to come with us to the cafeteria?” Hirari and the others asked. I nodded with no smile even though I was really happy to have been invited.
“Can you believe those girls in class?” Kotome asked as we walked down the hall.
“I know, I love reading those magazines too but everyday during lunch period is just too much.” Fujika laughed. I smiled since it was so true.
“Hirari, your little brother is having a fight in the cafeteria!” Some random guy ran through the halls announcing to us.
“What?!” Hirari ran to the scene. The rest of us followed since we were her friends and everything.
“Kinjo, what are you doing?!” Hirari pushed through the crowd and went to her brother’s side.
“I didn’t bump this guy on purpose but he took it as a big deal!” Her brother Kinjo glared at the other guy. I could see blood running from his mouth. The other guy’s nose was bleeding and he looked furious.
“You baby, you called your sister? She pretty cute.” The guy snared with a chuckle.
“Shut the hell up you b*****d!” Kinjo went for a spin kick. He really knew how to fight, that other guy went down shortly…and he was a senior!
“I’ll pay you back ten fold!” No matter what, he got up after the kick and went for a blow. Kinjo didn’t move fast enough and was hit in the gut.
“Kinjo!” Hirari went to his side.
“Kinjo, just apologize and let it go or you’ll be beat up!” Kinjo looked up at her, my eyes widened. I didn’t know if anyone else saw it, but he looked so pained to see Hirari act like that.
“Do you really want me to let it go like that?” He asked while averting his eyes. She didn’t say anything. In that instant, Kinjo got to his knees and apologized for bumping into the senior.
“That’s good, jut like a little boy should. Respect your elders, your sister is right to talk you down. I should THANK her properly.”
“You don’t deserve to even look at her!” Kinjo took this chance to punch the senior full in the stomach. He went down now, and didn’t come back up.
“Kinjo!” Hirari shouted, but he didn’t listen to her. Instead, he walked through the crowd avoiding her and leaving her behind. Hirari began to cry. Kotome, Fujika and I went to her aid. But even though we tried to see what was wrong, she just ran away too.
“I’ve never seen Hirari act like this before…” Kotome said with a soft expression.
“Yeah me either, I heard her little brother Kinjo is always getting into trouble. Maybe she’s just so frustrated about him fighting all the time…” Fujika said softly. This was really something I’ve only seen in movies, I never knew going to high school would have such scenes…

After school, I met up with Akira and Iruka by the hidden car.
“Do you work again?” Akira asked as he took off his Ren disguise. Iruka did the same, while ignoring us.
“Yeah, the movie isn’t even done yet. You know it takes long to shoot a whole movie.” I answered. Akira didn’t say anything, he was looking away.
“I’m leaving for a couple of days, I need to take care of some business. So I won‘t be in school this week either…” He finally answered.
“Oh, well don’t need to hurry back.” I smiled happily. I get the bed to myself!!!
“Why are you so happy?” Akira bent down and closely appeared in front of my face level.
    “I…Um…”
“Are you already planning to have some company like Raiden to come over? Hmmm?!” Akira asked seriously.
“Of…Of course not! But if I wanted to, I could invite any guy I’d like to bed me!” I blushed once I realized what I had said.
“Reina…” Even Iruka was blank staring at me.
“Hmph! Do whatever you like, just don’t get yourself into a scandal.” Akira didn’t look at me, did he really not care? We’ve already been together for a while now, and the media has calmed down about our engagement. I mean he wouldn’t care anyway, since he didn’t even give me a finale ring. He shouldn’t have to worry about it anyhow, since I’m not really interested in him…
In a couple minutes of driving through traffic and such, we were finally at the set.
“Reina babe, you made it again!” Raiden kissed my cheek now. I looked at Akira and he didn’t even bother to say anything this time.
“Did you get into a fight with your hubby Reina?” Raiden asked as we walked to my dressing room.
“Not really, and he’s not my hubby.” I said.
“Well not yet anyway, but are you getting bored with him already? I looked it up and you announced that you’ve been seeing each other for a long time now. If I knew you were going to start dating at such a young age, I would have asked you long ago to be my girlfriend. Then it would have been me who was being engaged to you right now.” Raiden looked at me seriously.
“Raiden you…?” Before I could finish, I was pulled into my dressing room to get made up into my character. Before…I thought he was only playing around that he liked me because that’s how it would come off as but…his serious expression made me see something totally different.
“Let’s shoot the scene with Youko and Kuro!” The director announced, I walked out to watch their scene.
    “And GO!”
“Where’s Kaya?” Youko asked when she arrived. They were at the music department but Kaya had run away after Kuro asked her to help out with the college music department.
    “She just ran off…”
“You! What did you say to her?!” Youko glared at Kuro. He looked at her and sighed.
“I only asked her if she wanted to help out our music department, then she cried and ran off…” When Youko heard this, she lightened up her attitude a bit.
“Kaya doesn’t like music anymore, maybe that’s why she ran off when you asked her.” Youko said softly.
“Why, what happened? Her brother didn’t mention anything about her not liking music…and the other day I heard her playing the piano at the school when everyone had already left…” Kuro said, Youko looked up automatically after hearing this.
“Kaya…was playing again?” Youko asked amazed.
    “She was singing too…”
♫I may never feel this way again…
Love is something that never lasts
    And I’ve tried moving on
    But my heart feels gone
    And you’re the only thing I know…

I never wanted to see you leave…
But that day you pushed me, I finally seen
    That side of you
I never thought you could ever be…
Now I feel the need, to escape everything…
    By hiding who I am
    And just replacing…
    All of my thoughts
With the ones you left me…

I may never feel this way again…
Love is something that never lasts
    And I’ve tried moving on
    But my heart feels gone
    And you’re the only thing I know…♫
“Kaya began to cry soon so she didn’t finish…”
“That song…It’s probably meant for Junya…” Youko said with a hint of sadness.
    “Junya?” Kuro asked.
“When Kaya was going to another high school before, she met her first love Junya there…I’ve only met him before a few times but, when they were together that’s when Kaya was the happiest. She used to always write songs and sing all the time to the point I’d get annoyed. They stayed together for three years, but last year Junya suddenly changed…”
[“Junya!” Kaya called out on the street.
“Kaya? What are you doing here? Did you follow me?” Junya asked.
“I had to, you weren’t answering any of my calls or mails. I wanted to see if you were okay silly!” Kaya smiled even though it was raining and she was soak and wet. Junya was under an umbrella but he didn’t even offer her to come by his side.
“You should go home…” Junya said coldly.
“What, why?” Kaya asked confused. Suddenly a girl came out of one of the shops and grabbed Junya by the hand.
“Who is that?” The girl asked. Kaya had already met all of Junya’s family and she never met this girl before.
    “I’m his…”
“She’s a girl I played around with for a while. But don’t worry, I stopped it after you became my girlfriend.” Junya said coldly while kissing the girl once. Kaya couldn’t believe he said that…
“A girl you just played around with?! Is that mean all those three years together and meeting your family was all for nothing?!” Kaya shouted at him.
“She met your family Junya? Aw, no fair!” The girl whined.
“She stalked me and invited herself into my home. I didn’t want to kick her out with my parents watching so I had no choice. But don’t worry, you can meet them properly.” Junya said. Kaya didn’t do any of that, in fact, Junya was the one who pulled her along even though she had plans that day.
“Junya, why are you doing this?!” Kaya ran over to him and grabbed his arm away from the girl. Junya got mad and pushed Kaya into a puddle.
“You’re annoying and irritating. It was fun, but I’m bored of you already. So just disappear and leave me alone you creepy stalker!” Junya and the girl walked off, leaving Kaya alone in the rain.]
“That…that kind of hurtful thing happened to her?” Kuro asked Youko.
“Because of that situation…Kaya has viewed all men not related to her, as heartless pigs who only look at you for entertainment.” Youko explained.
“So when I asked her to help out…she thought I just wanted to use her? That ridiculous! I would never do that sort of thing!” Kuro shouted.
“Even if that’s true, if you mean it you need to tell her properly. I don’t want to see her broken again, please…” Youko began to cry herself. Kuro patted her head once.
“I’ll find Kaya and tell her.” Kuro said and ran off in the direction that Kaya had run off to.

“OKAY CUT! Reina, are you ready?” The director asked.
    “Yes!”
“Good, I need you to take your position at the park we built there and Kuro will find you there with your music diary in hand.”
    “Ok.”
    “AND START!”
As I sat here, I opened my diary and read over some of my memories. There were all sorts of songs I didn’t even know I wrote while going out with Junya…now that I’m remembering every little detail again, I just feel the tears re-appearing again! The third page I see, says first kiss. And I automatically rip the page out. In fact, with tear struck eyes, I rip out every single page pertaining to how I felt with him.
“The first time I saw you! The first time we held hands while you walked me home! Our first kiss! Every damn memory…I hate them all!!!” I shout as I stop ripping now.
“Kaya?” I hear Kuro step in front of me.
“What do you want?” I asked, trying to wipe away the tears that still came no matter what.
“I came here to say sorry for what I asked you before…”
“It’s not that you asked me…it’s that I saw you had this diary. You know I dropped it before, but you didn’t even give it back until now?” I got up and walked away.
“Kaya wait! That book you have there, that’s your diary? I thought it was a lyric book you had written songs in…I’m sorry. I really didn’t know…” Kuro stopped me.
“Well now you do, and thanks to you now I remember everything I did with Junya and after trying to forget…” I began crying again. Suddenly, Kuro held me in arms. I looked up at him and he was looking away.
    “Kuro…?”
“I don’t want to see you crying, lately it seems I’ve only seen you cry and feel sad about this guy. If you’re trying to move on, then I can help you. I want to be the guy who replaces all those bad memories and help create loving memorable ones with you. I don’t want you to cry over this a**, if you do I’ll feel jealous. I want to see you smile! For some reason, I don’t like you…but I love you.” Kuro finally looked down at me and I gazed into his eyes. His eyes told me everything I needed to know, he had truth in his eyes like the clearest of days. For the first time in a long time, I was speechless without a remark to say.
Just then, Kuro kissed me. For once, I could feel the thought of Junya fade away and it felt good. I finally felt free of all the bad things that had happened…This was a new love maybe? That night, we talked for hours and we even worked hard together for the college music department.

“AND CUT! Shooting again tomorrow.” The director said.
“Raiden, can we talk?” I asked Raiden as everyone else gathered to leave. He stopped and looked at me.
“What you said before…what did you mean by that?” I asked. I know as Reina, I’ve been confessed to before…but Raiden is different for some odd reason.
“I’m not going to apologize for saying such an annoying thing…but Reina even though I’m two years older than you, I still like you even though you are already taken.” Raiden said seriously.
“But…” Before we could continue, Raiden was called away.
“I’m sorry Reina, I have somewhere to be for now. But I’ll call you so we can talk again later.” Raiden kissed my forehead and went off. I watched with a surprised expression as he disappeared around the corner.
“Reina!” I jumped as Haruna came over.
“Haruna…hi.” I smiled, trying to compose myself once again.
“You did great today as usual Reina.” Haruna smiled gently.
“Thank you, you also do a great job playing Youko.” I smiled back.
“Um…” Haruna blushed. Somehow…right now she looked…really cute!
    “Yes?” I asked.
“I wanted to know if you would like to join me right now? There’s a café that just opened up and I don’t have anyone to go with right now…” She asked. I was sort of surprised.
“Um, ok sure.” I said. She almost jumped with joy.
“Ok, let’s go right now!” Haruna grabbed my hand and suddenly we were in a limo and off we went. Wha…what that?! I wonder what Iruka and them would say? I sighed as I thought about it.
“You shouldn’t go out in public without a disguise!” Iruka would say.
“I told you not to get into a scandal.” Akira would laugh and make fun of me.

How dare he say that I’d get into a scandal! I’ve gone this long without Reina being in some type of scandal or public humiliation. The only problem was getting engaged to Akira and everyone knowing about it. My expression became flat then I got angered. I can definitely show that guy I can go out without being caught in some scandal!!!
“Reina?” I blinked and looked at Haruna.
    “Ah, sorry ha-ha.” I said.
“We’re here now.” Haruna got out of the limo. It was weird that she had her own limo, I usually travel by a single car with Iruka driving. I attract less attention that way…I thought as I followed her out of the car.
“Oh look! There must be some celebrities coming!” People began to gather around the limo now, but it also seemed that Haruna had a body guards to make way for us. This café better be worth me breaking a disguise rule, I sighed even though I was happy to be here with a friend.
“Oh my god it’s Reina herself!!!” Everyone began to scream and take our pictures together. Haruna and I were suddenly pushed through the crowd and right into the café. The body guards blocked people from trampling us over.
“Table for two.” Haruna said to the host at the podium.
“Welcome to our new café, I’m glad you came to our shop please come this way.” This other guy came over. He was dressed like a butler. So this was like one of those butler café?! Ha-ha, I always wanted to come to one of these for some reason. I smiled brightly as we got seated.
“I’ll leave you two so you may decided what you’d like to order maladies, and again I am honored to serve you today.” The butler bowed and walked off gracefully. I blushed.
“Oh my, are you blushing?” Haruna looked at me surprised.
“Uh no…ha-ha it’s nothing.” I smiled embarrassed now. Haruna began to laugh. I stopped and smiled, this was actually fun for once. An hour after we were done enjoying ourselves, it was finally time to leave. While the check was being paid, I took this time to check my phone. I had a lot of missed calls from Iruka and my father, plus some voicemails and only five text messages?! Oh boy, I forgot to tell Iruka where I was going before I left the set! Before I could read or listen to the messages, another text suddenly came in. I read that one first.
“I‘m sorry I‘m not able to call you and only send this one text. I‘m a bit overwhelmed with work right now, but please sleep well and I‘ll see you tomorrow wink . We can talk then - Love Raiden”
I smiled after reading it. Akira never sent nice text messages like this.
“Oh my, you’re smiling while looking at your phone! Could it be a lovey-dovey text from your hubby?” Haruna giggled.
“It was a text from Raiden.” I closed my phone with a smile to her.
“Shall we go?” I stood up and got out of the booth. As I got out, I tripped on something and fell down.
“Are you okay?” Haruna asked. I looked up at her, she didn’t even seem like she meant that. She didn’t even offer me a hand, in fact she just stood over me and watched me get up.
“Yeah…I’m fine.” I smiled despite the surprise of her unhelpful gesture.
“Let’s go then, I have to be home soon.” Haruna walked ahead of me. Why…all of sudden, did Haruna become cold? I don’t like this unsure feeling now…
Haruna’s cold action was the least of my problems compared to the big one waiting for me at home.
“How dare you come home so late without even a word of where you were!!!” Iruka shouted.
“Iruka, please calm down. You look scary, have you always been this way?” Even my father was there. Akira was here too, since he lived here. Iruka ignored my father’s question.
“I can’t believe you were irresponsible again! Haven’t I told you to go in disguise if you were going to be in public?! Do you know something could have happened to you?!”
    “I’m sorry Iruka.”
“Iruka, stop there. Reina, who were you out with?” My father asked seriously now.
“I went out to a new café that just opened with Haruna…” I said.
    “Who is Haruna?”
“She’s an actress who is starring in a movie with me right now. She asked me if I wanted to join her after work, and I…I was too excited to turn her down so I went with her without clearly thinking it over again…I’m sorry.” I bowed.
“Wait…you made a friend?” My father stood up and slowly stepped towards me. His expression was a little weird at this point.
“I’M SO HAPPY YOU FOUND A FRIEND!!!” My father hugged me! This hug was almost to suffocating. I pushed my father off.
“OLD MAN, YOU’RE GOING TO SUFFICATE ME LIKE THAT!!!” I shouted.
“I’m sorry Sayu, I’m just so happy that you made a friend!”
“It’s not like I’m alone, I’m not that pitiful!” I sat down on the couch angrily.
“What’s going on here? Why are you calling the director your old man? And why did you call Reina, Sayu?” Akira asked. All three of us looked at Akira. Oops…
A few minutes later, my father explained the relationship between us.
“So, Sayu is actually your real birth name?” Akira asked.
“Got a problem with that name?” I narrowed my eyes.
“No, it sounds nice to me.” He smiled. Hmph! I pouted.
“It really is!” My father hugged me to him again.
“Get off me old man!” I pushed him away.
“But Sayu, I’m glad you are still continuing to go to school. Even if you’re in disguise.” My father smiled.
“I have a question.” Akira said.
“Mm, go ahead.” My father nodded.
“Why did you make that bet together before? You’ve made Reina number one in the company, so why do you want to let her go if you made her what she is?” Akira asked. What?! This old man making me what I am today?! How dare he!!!
“She did it by herself.” My father looked innocent. Akira blinked first, then he began laughing hysterically.
“This girl here? Ha-ha, don’t joke with me. She‘s too weak, so she could never…” Suddenly I hit Akira upside the head. For some reason I began to cry. He always teased me, but this time he just took it too far. I ran out of the room.
“Sayu wait!” Iruka ran after me.

    [Akira]
Why, was she crying? I always make fun of her, but I guess I took it too far this time?
“Akira…” I looked at the director now. Iruka had run out too.
“When Sayu was growing up, she always counted on other people. She was such a happy-go-lucky type of little girl. Since I would be busy with work, she mostly spent times with her mother who she had the most trust in. Her and her mother were really close. But for some reason, when she was only five…her mother didn’t like the life she was living. One day I came home from work, she had he bags packed…
“Kenzo, It seems like I can’t do it. I don’t like being tied down like this! The director from another company is interested in me, and I suddenly fell in love with him…I’m sorry it just happened.”
    “What about Sayu…?”
“I hope you can take good care of her…please…”
“What non-sense are you speaking?! Have you thought about what this may do to her at this age? Have you even considered her feelings?!”
“I’m sorry…I really want to follow my dreams right now…I hope you can tell her I love her for me.”

“Just like that, she left without a word to Sayu. Sayu knew her mother left, and from there she stopped counting on people. She only has herself to rely on. She has trouble trusting people, the only one she has is Iruka. And now I hope she has you to help her, since she shut most of the people out. She didn’t even go to a regular school. This image Reina that she had created, she did all on her own. I had no idea what she was up to since she was so young. But when she auditioned for her first role by herself, everyone thought she was just the cutest thing. At the time, since Sayu’s mother wanted to keep it a secret, no one knew that Reina was actually our daughter. And we decided it’d be best to keep it that way.”
“So then that bet…” I said shocked.
“I never wanted this life for my daughter. By rules, I can’t just eliminate someone’s contract without a proper reason or screw up. That’s what I promised. But Reina never got into trouble, her celebrity records are clean. So when I made that bet, I hoped that there was a chance she’d see a new perspective and want to quite this all on her own. But she stayed strong and so I lost.”
    “I see…” I said.
“So that’s why you should fall in love with my daughter and make her happy then marry her!”
“Wha…” I looked at the director like he was crazy again. He was smiling too much. Now I knew why she always got mad at this guy…I sighed. But I guess the little Reina I met long before…has now become different…….
