• I sat quietly at my desk. The only light in the room was coming from the computer screen in front of me. I stared blankly at it, and then started typing whatever came to mind... At least that was what I was usually doing. I was actually typing a report on our previous assignment – which was to be sent to the commander.

    Assignment 136980-ID

    Status: Complete

It went off without a hitch. X successfully disarmed the security systems and we got what we came for. The entire system crashed after we stole the files. Apparently they were vital for the system to run. Subjects were set free thanks to efforts of V. Had to take down the helicopter giving chase after we left the scene, though.

    Reporting: S-Rank Agent Nasiron; Squad 13, Lat 85.8N Lon 0 MIP S.MLT.167.8E5.NGT

I leaned back in my chair after I typed the report. Silently, I wondered whether or not the Commander would actually assign us anything that important again, especially because we had Xauc on our team... And, well, his alignment was rather unclear in the grand scene, at least to me it was.

I looked over at the picture frame beside my headphones. Why haven't I burned this picture yet? I picked up the picture frame for a second, then set it back down and brushed my purple hair – it was really starting to bug me.

I set down the brush after my hair was somewhat less wild, and picked up the picture frame again, staring at it. I opened the back of it and removed the sheet of paper which the image was printed on.

I ripped it apart in my hands, then set it aflame in my hand. That's for allowing Vulcan to be taken over, Mom. And for letting all those poor souls captured in the war become monsters – I accepted this power, and anyone who sides with the Maltilian government is an enemy of mine... !

I heard someone knock on my door. "I'll be right out, okay?" I put out the flames on the image, the images of my mother and father against a tropical backdrop now burnt and charred, leaving only myself, in the center of the image.

I pressed the send button for the report and then closed the window. I opened the music player on my computer and put on Dimines Nadar. Seconds later, it began playing softly in the background.

I walked to the door and left my dark room, leaving the remains of the picture on my desk.

I'll make sure you know what you did was wrong.
