• My home blows up

Freeport 7 the metal scraping zone

I hear a scrape against door in my living quarters. Only to find my cat cotton scratching against the door. Cotton is a pure white cat and very smart.
I didn’t find her or even get her on earth. A man on Leeds was selling her. usually I would say no but the cat was different. Because its DNA wasn’t of an earth cat. It was considered the first race of alien. But who cares it’s a cat. Nope it’s intelligent. I have seen it do things. It could work the toaster and microwave. And it knows how to get kusary milk and even I forget how to get it myself.
But any way I get up and push the gray button to open the door and watch Cotton walk away for a stroll around the port. A few hours later I finally get up to start my day.
I toss on my clothes and go to the lounge for breakfast. I open the door to see cotton snoozing in front of the door. I tap her head and she opens her white eyes and goes into the room to have more of a nap. I leave the door ajar so Cotton can leave if she wants to. I walk past my garage which holds my freighter the biggest one on Freeport 7. And past a few other compartment until I finally make it to the lounge. I sit a one of the hovering tables and a projection of the menu appears.
Usually we would have a lot more food to eat and drink. But rouges keep attacking our supply ships and steeling our food. But all we end up with now is kusary milk Freeport water and kusary food rations which pretty is dry white rice. I order a bowl and wait for Nelven to deliver it. And surly he does. He lays my order down on the table and asks. “Are you paying now or later?” I say later and he nods and walks away. I get to eating and when I finish my first bite.
All of Freeport 7 shook. Then there was a loud blast and all I can remember next is Cotton staring into my eyes. Till I realized what had just happened. I lift my head to see nobody around and that the pressure lights where flashing off.
I get up shaky and light headed. I slowly but surly walk to my garage with my ship. It took longer then I thought the hall ways seemed so much longer then usually.
I stumble into the garage and I shuffle though my pockets for my ID card I then smack it onto the scanner. It goes ding and the hatch opens up. As I go up the ramp I see Cotton stumble so I picked her up and carried her aboard.
I get to the console and close the bay hatch and blast away the door to the garage. I hit the after burners to full blast and get out about 30 miles way. When Freeport seven finally compresses and explodes. I look at Cotton and see that her left ear was bleeding. I take some cotton and some hydrogen peroxide in the med kit and put it in her ear.
She didn’t mind it if it helped she allowed it. After helping Cotton I turn the after burners off and turn the engine on. I then go to pilot’s seat and sit there for the next few hours.
It’s going to be a long ride.
