• User ImageYears upon years ago a motherless child knew she was to never give birth. Her child would die before it would even take its first breath. This woman didn’t believe the doctors and had tried to produce a child. Like the docors had predicted the fetus died and she had a miscarriage. Devastated the girl took off for refuge in her mansion upon the hill. Where she would proceed to grow mad. Or so the townsfolk would say. But really, for years she would try to perfect an artificial child. Rather the perfect child. Their skin would be smooth yet hard, Porcelain, with an ivory tint. They’d act just like an innocent child. They would be able to speak, walk, and able to digest foods and drinks. Dolls. Life sized dolls. The lady did it and had very well perfected them. She created many of these things. Calling them her children. And to them she was their mother and the only real thing they had even close to one. But as time began to pass the lady grew old and withered. She had realized that these dolls did not age with her. They would forever stay the age they were created at.

Eventually their mother grew very very ill, and she was bedridden. Then one day… She was gone. The day she died was tragic. Since these dolls couldn’t shed tears they mourned in silence. One of the first dolls created was sitting by her mother when she passed. She knew her last words and they were, ”I have created you with a curse… I didn’t know till recently. You do not age with time, and you cannot feel anything but emptiness. There will be one day when someone ponders through these doors. You and the others must find and feel love. That will be the only way this retched thing I have bestowed upon you, will vanish. And you will be free to age with this person, and to leave this home.” The old women placed her hand on her dolls tinkered heart. She closed her eyes and passed on. A tear slid out from underneath her eye lid. And they knew that their mother was gone.

Centuries went by. Slow and agonizing. Only a few weary travels ever found their way into the house of dolls. Never to leave though. Many attempts to exit the house but yet they could never make it out the front door. There was much more to the curse then the dolls had thought. Once a human entered they couldn’t leave. Humans were scared and wouldn’t talk with the dolls after they explained had explained this to them. They either hid themselves and starved to death or they would commit suicide. Either way just led to death. They weren’t going to associate with things that weren’t even supposed to exist. So the dolls grew lonely and even some turned insane. Since they didn’t actually need to eat they would lock themselves up into their room. And wouldn’t be seen for long periods of time. Some grew mad and played horrifying tricks on the other dolls and the humans who wondered. Then there were the few who stayed relatively sane, and just merely floated on with their lives. Just hoping that one day there would be a person who wouldn’t run screaming.

The mansion stayed the same over the ages, as the world outside would continue to move forward with time. The house was stuck with the timeless motion like the dolls. Underneath the same heavy curse of never aging. So on the hill in the small quiet town of Gothenburg, laid that mansion. It became some what of a legend and many rumors and stories spread about it. That’s what happens in small towns. The legend about the house was some what true though. ”The mansion on the hill is cursed. Once one wonders in, they’re never seen coming out again. Inside has many secrets that lay within it’s Victorian rooms. Riches and sad tells are apparent on every turn. It was said that long ago an old women grew insane there. She was an inventor. What she invented were demonic, heartless, monsters. They’ll play being your friend until they get you to be alone with them. Then they steal your soul and slice you into tiny pieces. The women who created them were terrified of her creations. She killed herself, and left her minions there to rot away.” Of coarse there were many different stories about the house. Yet they all had the same main idea.

The stories would be told from every generation to generation. From mother to daughter from father to son. It was an infamous tale, and only the people of Gothenburg knew of it. But that doesn’t mean that people wouldn’t talk of it to people who come touring. No, on the contrary the people of this small town loved the fact they had something intriguing to tell. Although, no one actually believed in this tale. They just thought it was some story created long ago to keep their children away from the rotting house. Who knew when it would fall? They just didn’t want any younglings to die along with it. Foolish people. Soon, there would be a day when a group of people would venture into the unknown. Just who would have thought that it would be you and your group? Good luck… It’s up to you and your friends to decipher the rest of the tell. Will you fall in love? Or will you take your own life instead?
