• "Mai!" Yumi yelled, running into my room. It was a gigantic room with a the north wall as a huge glass bullet proof window. The walls were white, the floor and ceiling were black, my king sized bed was black with black sheets, pillows, and blankets. My flat screen t.v was on the oposite wall of the bed. My black bedside table had a lamp and alarm clock. There was a huge oval carpet in the middle of the floor. "Hi, Yumi." I said as she came up and hugged me. "It's awesome to see you! You wanna go out somewhere today?" she asked. That's what I loved about Yumi. She didn't care how rich someone was or what their social status was. She pictured everyone on the same level. "Sure." I said. She took me to all kinds of shops. Spent the day out having fun. At the end of the day, when the sun went down, Yumi had to go home. I took a short cut through the park, it was dark, the lamps on all around the park. I had on a black tank top with a white rose on it, a black striped skirt, white knee-high socks, and black boots, I also had on a pyramid stud choker. My hair was completely out except for the strings in my bangs. "Mai!?" I heard a voice say. I turned to see Komuro in a pair of pants, white t-shirt, sneakers, and a chain connected to his pant's belt loops. "Komuro? What are you doing here?" I asked. "I couldn't sleep at my house, so I came to take a walk, you?" he asked, walking towards me. "Lost track of time hanging with Yumi." I said. "Oh, cool." he said, standing in front of me. "Yup." I said. "Hey, you have heard how dangerouse this park is at night, haven't you?" he asked. "Not really." I said. "Don't you watch the news? There's been kidnappings, rapings, thieves, and other stuff in this park." he said. I sighed "That's troublesome." I said, even though I was shivering with fear. "Do you live close around here?" he asked. I shook my head "I live about a mile from here." I said. He took my hand "C'mon, you're going to my house." he said, tugging me along. "It's fine. I'm fine." I said. "No way am I letting you go that far this late at night!" he protested. I sighed, but let him drag me to his house. It was a medium sized two-story house with a gate a couple feet from the door. He opened the gate, took me in, locked the gate, and opened the door. He got in before me, the lights turned on and I could here a woman's voice saying "Where have you been young man?!" she yelled. "I went for a walk in the park." Komuro said. "Why?! Big brother, I was worried!" said a little girl's voice, Komuro's sister. "Komuro, what are you holding?" said a hard man's voice, noticing Komuro's missing hand. Komuro pulled me in. Everyone stared at me. "Dang! She's hot!" said a 17 year old looking guy with dark hair and golden eyes. "She's so pretty!" said a little girl with short golden brown hair and blazing bright hazel eyes. "Why didn't you tell us you were out with your girlfriend?" said the dark haired, green eyed woman in a proud voice. "Sh-she's not my girlfriend!" Komuro said. "Sure, she's not." said a sandy haired, brown eyed guy. "Hi, my name's Ichika. I'm Komuro's little sister!" Ichika said. "Hello. I'm Komuro's mother. You can call me Onyx." she said. "I'm Komuro's father, you can call me Jyunpei." said Komuro's father. The 17 year old boy took my hand, winked and said "My name's Riku. If it doesn't work out with Komuro, you can always look me up." he said. "I don't think that will ever happen sweet heart." I said, taking away my hand. "Oooo, rejected!" Ichika teased. "C'mon kids, off to bed, Komuro, don't stay up too late." Onyx said. "Wait, mom!" Komuro called. "Yes?" she asked. "Um, you see, Mai's house is really far away and I'm worried about what will happen.......to....her. Wow, I really do sound like your boyfriend don't I? Anyway, can she stay here?" he asked. "Of course! But, you know we don't have a geust room. She will have to stay in your room." Onyx said. Komuro's face turned red and he froze. They went upstairs as Komuro and I remained there. "Komuro?" I asked. He snapped out of his trance, but his face was still red. "I can leave if you want." I offered. "No!" he said and pulled me up the stairs and into his room. His room was small. (It looked a lot like other rooms in anime. I don't want to go through description because I want to write events, so just remember anime bedrooms, but with a bigger bed, enough to fit two people). I put my over the shoulder bag down and looked around at his messy room with clothes on the floor and bed unmade. It was a small taste of the normal life I didn't know. Komuro was digging through his drawers, and pulled out an over-sized t-shirt -oversized for me-. I took the shirt. "I'll be outside." he said quickly and left the room. "How did this end up happening?!" I though while sighing. Than, something hit me as I slipped off my shirt "I'm in a house full of vampires!" I took off my shoes, socks, and skirt and put them into a neat pile on his chair. Before I could put on the t-shirt, the door opened, and Komuro was pushed in by Riku. His face grew so red, his nose began to bleed. I was speechless as my face grew as warm as fire. "I-I'm sorry!!!" he yelled and rushed out of the room. I could hear an argument going on outside. I quickly slipped on the shirt, and sat on the bed, unable to stand. "I can't belive that just happned!" I whispered aloud. There was a knock on the door "Um, Mai, are you done in there?" Komuro's voice asked. "Yes." I called. he opened the door and walked in, face still a bit red. Seeing him, my face grew warmer. He sat next to me, but didn't look at me. "I-I didn't mean-. Riku pushed-." he tried to say. "It's fine." I said. "No, it's not. My brother had no right to-" he cut himself off. "I'm really sorry!" he said. "As long as you didn't do it purposly and/or pervertedly." I said. "I didn't!" he said. "Than you have nothing to worry about." I said. "But still!" he protested. I flopped down on his bed, "I just want to go to sleep." I said. "Yeah, okay." He said, slipping off his shirt, socks and shoes. He was pretty muscled under his shirt, like Jacob from twilight. He lied down, above the covers as I was underneath them and with his back to me. He turned off the bedside lamp. The room was enveloped in darkness. When I was sure Komuro was asleep, I buried my face in his back. I was afriad because of what could've happened to me. And, in a way, Komuro saved my life. "Thank you." I whispered, and fell asleep.
