• Silently I slipped onto the bench next to her, watching the rain fall against her face. Wondering if she'd noticed me or not I remained still. Pondering through thoughts of what to do and say if she spoke to me rushed through my mind as I watched her stillness. When I began to think she was too far gone to speak with I slowly stood up, yet she did nothing to stop me. As I tossed one last glance her way I thought I saw a tear slide down her face.

Soon enough the bell rang to get to class, suddenly snapping me away from thought. It was still pouring from the night before so running to my course wasn't the best, but soon I'd be late if I did not. As I entered the room thunder struck off in the distance, after looking around I realized the students were still chatting away so I swiftly sat down in my seat. The final bell signaled the start of the day but none of the teachers had gotten here yet so all of the jocks still lingered on the desks, the preppy chicks stayed around one's table, and the rest were neutral.

Finally all the students had been dismissed for lunch, only the rain began to pound harder against the gloomy pavement, causing no one to want to go out side. Yet we all knew it best to leave so some held books over their heads, others shared umbrellas, and a few used their hats and quickly ran to the cafeteria. Soon enough I ran into Benny, a friend who is stalky with long, brown hair and golden cat eyes.
"Hello, Benny," I stumbled back from his closeness.
    "Hi Britt!" He grinned foolishly.
