The coppery sent of the sweet red liquid slid down my throat it warmed my body, it felt good to drowned out the painful hunger. The girl mourned in the sickly sweet conflict of her fear and pleasure. I smiled to myself as I felt her body go limp. I let it drop, it hit the ground with a soft thump. I looked up at the moon, it was full a pale silver that shimmered down on my my even paler skin. I turned and headed for Trinity's house, she's always out during full moons.
Her house was dated in the early 1700's. Vines wound up the walls covering the faded bricks, Her house was hidden deep within the forest covered mountains. Trinity place was far from the city I lived in. But I was faster than a car so it takes me around thirty minutes to get there, yeah it's that far.
I jumped over the fifteen foot wall covered in the thick winding vines. The backyard was poorly taken care of, vines over ran everything over the fences that were falling apart but held strongly, and the broken statues and some vines kept parts of the statues together because of how densely they grew. They even grew partly over the human made pond floating on the top. The locals called her the witch of vines. I would believe them if I were not friends with her, kind of... The human made pond ran the length of the middle of the yard. the water was murky with leaves blanketing the water and the faint sent of fish blood made me sick to the stomach.
I strolled through the yard to a large shed the doors were torn off forcefully and the place were the hinges would be connected to the body of the shed were completely ripped away. If you looked close enough to the wall just behind the shed you would see the doors propped up against the wall hidden in vines.
I stopped in front of it the soft sound of deep breathing let me know Trinity was in their. From her breathing and the relaxed aura rolling off her told me she was asleep. I sighed even though no relief came from it. The breathing stopped and cold red eyes opened, I smiled when a deep throat growl erupted from her, she wasn't pleased to see me.
"What do you want here leach?"She asked her voice was low it came deep with in her.
"I came to visit an old friend." I answered bowing lowly to show proper respect for the Guardian of Humanity. She wasn't my guardian, I had lost my humanity long ago.
"I'm not your friend!" She snapped, pulling back her lips to show her deadly white teeth. I put my hands up in defeat.
"Calm down Trine I was talking about Elizabeth, she is here correct?"I asked looking back at her. She glared at me for a long time, questioning the truth in my words. She sighed,
"Very well she's in the manor..."She said turning her back on me, I turned but just piss me off she added, "It's not like she's going anywhere." I tried to ignore her but she was right and pain gripped my heart.
I headed into the manor. The inside was set up in a 1600's fashion. There was an odd grace to it but it wasn't my style. The floor was a tacky checkered black and white reminding me of a chess board. I stopped in front of a statue of a girl. She had soft features and curly hair. She had a small smile...or was it a frown...I guess it was best described as a Mona Lisa smile.I stared at her for a long time. Than I looked down to the golden name plate tarnished with time,
Elizabeth Carmine Delgado
1335-1956
I was quiet than I turned walked away passing all of my old friends as I went, they were all here for one reason, and I was the only one to blame. Trinity was laying on a large bolder most likely the only thing that wasn't covered in vines. Her fur was a pure white her bloody red eyes watched me closely.
"Are you leaving already?" She asked casually. I nodded and answered,
"Yes it's hard for me to be here for to long..." Trinity nodded in understanding. I looked down her eyes only reminded me of what's to come, my chest already felt tight with the sickness that lay dormant deep inside me, just waiting for a moment of weakness.
"It will I see the pain in there eyes and your flam grows weaker by the passing years it's losing it's fragile light." Trinity told me; Anger rose up in me I looked at her smiling pleasantly,
"Than I look forward to become part of your god forsaken living statue museum." I turned and left.
"...I will be seeing you sooner than you think,My dear Xsander Marco Delgado..." Trinity said plainly...
105 years later,
Trinity strolled through the manor giving proper respect to each statue, bowing briefly to each one. She stopped in front of the newest and final edition,
"It took you a while... But your here and it's painful to see your pain..." She touching his cold stone cheek with her wet nose and walked away. The name plate on the statue read,
Xsander Marco Delgado
