•    I groaned. I opened my eyes. "Ah!" Yeah, that's bright. I squinted my eyes as light jabbed at my eyes, trying to get my surroundings to into focus. I sat up, every muscle screaming in protest.

My head was throbbing and every part of me was in complete agony. Even my hair hurt..! But... Why?

I bowed my head. What happened yesterday? I frowned at the white sheets in front of me. I huffed. "Damn it! Why can't I remember?" I grumbled, racking my brain for what I needed. I thought back to yesterday morning.

    **Flashback**

"-lexis. Alexis. Alexis Demay Mason! Ugh! Why the hell is she such a deep sleeper?" I heard an annoying voice grumble. It was my 17 year old brother, Elliot. God... The hell'd he want?

For me to wake up, apparently. Yeah, hell no...

I covered my head with my pillow. "Go the hell away, Elliot," I growled, voice muffled by the pillow.

I heard said idiot brother huff in frustration and I smiled, eyes closing in attempt to go back to the chaos of my dreams.

Then I heard an evil chuckle.

       ... That can't be good...

       I heard Elliot leave.

       What is he up to?

I got out of bed, stuffing my covers with my pillow, and hid behind the door to mine, and my twin sister, Autumn's bedroom.

Elliot came back into the room, a bucket in hand.

"Elliot, what're you doing," my twin said, tapping her foot in the doorway.

"Wakin' up Alex," he replied quietly without facing her, grinning like the idiot he is.

I heard her scoff and I pictured her shaking her head. "Don't blame me when she kills you," she told him, but I didn't hear her leave.

Figures. I mean, Autumn's my sister, but she doesn't pass up a show. Even if that means I get soaked to the bone or covered in jelly.

'Water boy' (he has a bucket full of ice cold water, so... yeah) tiptoed over to my bed, focusing on nothing but being sneaky. Cause, ya know, pillows are real light sleepers.

I sighed quietly, stepping out from behind the door. I saw Autumn grin out of the corner of my eye and I held a finger to my lips. I used every but of ninja ability I possessed and snuck up behind him, whispering in his ear. "Whatcha doin'?"

You could have heard his scream on the other side of the street, the bucket flying into the air. I took a couple steps back, out of swinging and splashing range.

And what happened to Elliot, you ask? A true Kodak moment. It was absolutely priceless when the bucket dumped its contents on his head.

Autumn and I broke into a fit a giggles, which turned into gut-busting laughter, which turned into rolling on the floor and tears in our eyes. Maybe a little much, but if your brother just further proved he's a doofus, wouldn't you be being laughing, too?

"Would youlike a side of epic with that fail?" My twin sister and I broke down into another fit of giggles.

"Nice one, sis," my twin giggled. All I could do was nod.

Elliot growled. "Are you two done?"

Marina passed by, pausing in the doorway. There was a still moment as she stared at Elliot, bucket still hanging crookedly off his head, and then at my twin and I, mid-roll on the floor and faces flushed with laughter. Our little sister rolled her eyes and walked away, a smirk curling at the edge of her lips. "I don't even want to know..."

I looked at my twin and she looked back. We grinned at each other, giggles bursting forth.

Elliot glared at the two of us.

Autumn sat up, still giggling a little, and looked at me. "Hey sis…"

       "Yeah?"

       "What's his score?"

       "Oh yeah... I almost forgot..."

"Uh-huh... I give him a ten for comedy."

I nodded. "A zero for stealth."

Elliot's glare bordered on murderous and his fingers twitched at his sides, likely desperate for something to beat me with.

I gave him a smile. "And a three for deviance and a two for courage."

My twin raised a brow. "Really? He was pretty brave, considering you've got a bat in here."

"I would've given him a six, but his girlish scream ruined it." She snickered.

And then he snapped. Elliot stalked over to my closet and snatched up my bat.

"Oh crap," Autumn and I mumbled in unison, navy eyes wide with fear. We bolted from the room, Elliot close behind, the bat above his head.

    **End Flashback**

I smiled softly the memory. But that wasn't what I was looking for. The fog in my mind was starting to clear. I gasped softly. Autumn and I went to Janet's New Year's party.

Everything came back in a flood. Autumn making me wear a DRESS, the party, finding no trace of my sister afterwards, panicking, those guys in cloaks knocking Elliot unconscious, struggling against them, bitter liquid being forced down my throat, heat scorching through me as shivers wracked my body... And then nothing...

I looked around me. Everything was white. Solid white. No color at all. That's just weird.

"What the hell is this? The Castle That Never Was?"

The sound of clapping filled the room.

My head shot up and I at the tall redhead in the door. I, being the Kingdom Hearts fan that I was, knew exactly who it was.

       Organization XIII's Number VIII, Axel.

"I'm surprised you figured it out," he told me in a light hearted tone.

"I'm occasionally oblivious, but I'm not stupid. What do you want?" I spat.

Said fire-lover looked hurt. "I just wanted to check up on our new little pup."

"The hell're you talking about?! Get out!"

He chuckled and shook his head, tapping the top of it.

Eyebrows furrowed, I slowly brought a hand to the top of my head. My eyes widened.

There were hairy things on my head that were NOT hair. Hair does not twitch!

"What the hell'd y'all do to me?!"

An odd, almost irritating mixture of intrigue and pity sparkled in his eyes, his reply nonchalant. "The potion Vexen made went all screwy. It did this instead of turning you into a Nobody."

I groaned, my head falling into one hand. "I feel like I'm in a bad crossover."

Axel threw a black outfit on the bed. "There's your clothes..." And then I was alone.

I climbed out of the bed, glancing down at the same tank top and jeans I wore last night. (or at least I think it was last night. Who knows how long I was out...) Me being the dork I always will be, I dared a look behind me… and let out a sigh of relief. No tail.

I turned back to the clothes Axel had left. It was a pair of cargo pants, a black t-shirt, a standard black cloak and boots. The typical Organization uniform, I guess. After a moment of searching, I found the connected bathroom. The person I saw in the mirror made me pause.

I knew it was me. But, it just... COULDN'T be. Her hair wasn't russet brown, instead it was all inky strands and scarlet bangs. Instead of familiar indigo, the eyes staring back at me were a tawny kind of copper, like a new penny. But everything else, from her small button nose and her slightly rounded cheeks to the freckle on the right side of her nose, was familiar... Was mine.

I came out of the bathroom in the uniform just as Axel came in. "You certainly have good timing..."

       "We're having a meeting."

I raised an eyebrow. "I care why?"

       "You got questions, dontcha?"

"Thank you Professor Duh for taking Captain Obvious' place in our time of need." A smirk curled at the corners of my mouth, my eyes flashing deviously from under the almost too big hood.

He ignored me. "Well, this meeting is where you'll get your answers!" He gave me a look. "Weren't your eyes green? They're gold now."

       I shrugged.

They were GREEN earlier? What the ********?

The redhead sighed. "Come on, follow me." And I was left alone again, the door left open.

I followed him quietly, looking around the hall for something to distract my jittering, jumbled mind.

Oh, boredom... How you vex me so...

I ended up counting our steps.

       4,123, 4,124, 4,125, 4,126, 4,12-

I collided with Axel's back when he made a sudden stop at grand, white double doors.

He shot me a smirk over his shoulder.

I glared at him, a small growl building in my throat. His smirk only widened as he pushed the doors open.

I fought to keep my nerves from showing on my face. Like everything else I've seen, the room was white. It had very throne-like, white chairs up against the walls, height ranging from maybe about sixteen feet to thirty feet tall. Each chair held an Organization member. I noticed, with only momentary confusion, a fourteenth member standing off to the side.

       Xion...

"So nice of you to join us… Alex." It was a calm voice and, had it not had that whispery tone that made me think of child molesters, it would've been soothing. Xemnas.

I smiled sweetly at the member up in the highest chair. "So nice of you to give me the chance, Mansex."

I heard several members snicker and Axel's boisterous laughter.

      Xemnas (+cough+Mansex+cough+) growled. "Silence!"

The room instantly fell silent. I rolled my eyes.

       That's actually kinda sad…

Mansex turned a cold glare on me which I returned just as fiercely.

"I will not be disrespected, you ******** little brat!"

I raised an eyebrow at him. I wasn't sure if I should laugh or kick his a**...

I mean, really?? ******** LITTLE brat?

Before I could even really think about what I was doing, I snapped my fingers and there was a small explosion that sent Xemnas into the air. A grin stretched it's way across my face as the Nobody was brought back down by gravity. He hit the ground on his back with a painful-sounding thud that would have made me feel sorry.

       I snickered.

If it had been anyone else... Except Marluxia... Or Vexen... Or Xaldin... Or Xigbar...

I gave the Nobody already picking himself up a smug grin.. The room was graveyard-silent.

"'s not nice to name call, Superior," I taunted, the title sarcastic.

His glare was seething. "You WILL show respect, Number 0..." The snap of his fingers was a lone sharp staccato. I raised a brow.

       Number 0? Seriou-

A gasp tried to make it to my lungs, my legs buckling, and I fell to my knees, unable to stand under the unbearable, white-hot pain. I caught myself on shakey arms, my breath coming in short, ragged sips

It felt like hot pokers jabbing and prodding from the inside. It felt like a taser on high. It felt like pain, because that's exactly what it was. And I could swear I was going to die.

I could feel his eyes on my crumpled figure, watching with sick amusement. "You will bow to me, Alexis. I am your Superior, your master."

I glared at the floor, and managed a growl between gritted teeth. "Keep dreaming, ********..."

Another snap. Forget the pokers. I was tossed into the flames as firewood. I was in the electric chair.

No matter how much I want to, I won't scream. I will not scream.

My arms were numb; they'd give out any minute.

I won't scream. The phrase had become a mantra in my mind, the only thing real in my world other than the scorching in my veins. Time meant nothing. Seconds or days could have passed and wouldn't have been able to tell. My vision was failing, black seeping into the edges of my eyes. I heard a voice and another, the pain clouding my mind making it just a jumble of noise, and then it was over.

I collapsed in relief, and laid there on the tile floor, a dull ringing in my ears as I felt my prone fingers tremble. It was all I COULD do.

The hell was that? I don't remember him switching powers with Jane Volturi!!

The last thing I heard before I was taken by the bliss that was unconsciousness, was Xemnas' smug, vindictive whisper.

"I once again welcome you to Organization XIII... Number Zero... The Twilight Wolf."
