: PROLOGUE:
There she was standing over two blood covered bodies with a phone in her hand and splatters of blood on her face. Her eyes were cold and scared but she didn’t show any emotion. She looked up at a man with a yellow masochistic smile with crooked teeth; she looked back down. Sirens were heard racing down the street to get to the house with the two shot dead bodies of a female and male. She didn’t hear a single thing but she did see the man call someone then walk out as if nothing happened. When police showed up they grabbed the little eight-year-old girl, who seemed emotionless, and took her outside to the paramedic to check for wounds. She didn’t have a single scratch on her and then she was carried to a squad car like she was a little kid. She sat quietly in the backseat just staring down the road like she was waiting for something or someone. A police officer noticed her staring and walked up to her, he crouched down and smiled at her seeing if she would smile back she just stared at him with a blank expression.
“Hey little girl. Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?” He asked her in a slightly baby voice with that stupid fake smile on his old face.
She answered, “I guess so and since you’re not going to tell me my rights I am allowed to leave at any time. Am I correct? You’re not holding me for anything.”
That wiped the officer of his smile and he cleared his throat and spoke. “I guess so. But where will you go? You’re four.”
This made the little girl mad. “I’m eight and I will go to my aunt I already called her while you guys were taking your time getting here. She’ll be arriving soon I suspect she lives in another town but this time she said she was going to get me something to drink before she came.” The little girl stated in a monotone voice.
The officer was speechless and started asking her the mandatory questions of a witness.
“Did you see the person that did this to your parents?”
“No.” she lied.
“Where did you hide? The person didn’t go looking around did he?”
“I didn’t hide; I was in the kitchen getting a juice box when I heard six shots. I heard the door closed and I called my aunt and then you guys. You won’t find who did this I’m telling you now, don’t become obsessed with it.” She told the truth.
“What’s your name?” The officer asked looking at the girl incredulously. She was answering all of the questions in a monotone voice and acting as if nothing had happened, then a bright blue Volvo s60 r drove into sight and the little girl jumped up and ran to where it had parked.
A young lady about nineteen or twenty stepped out and enveloped the little girl in her arms. Her hair was a light brown and her eyes were a brilliant shade of blue almost exactly matching the little girls, they parted. The same police officer walked up to her and pulled the little girl away from her slightly.
“I’m sorry ma’am but I’m going to need to know who you are, what you do, and what you think you are doing.” The police officer said.
“I’m sorry sir, of course. My name is Sarah Cier Yealsy and I am Alex’s aunt. I am here to pick her up and take her home. It’s been a rather long day for her I’m sure.” She said politely and the little girl mumbled something.
“I’m sorry I’m going to need identification and to know who he is your nephew.” She chuckled a bit and looked down to the girl who was looking away slightly red.
“I’m sorry officer there’s a misunderstanding. Alex is an eight year old girl and is standing in front of you. Her name is Alison May Yealsy.” The officer was a little shocked then pulled out his notepad and wrote everything down.
“Yes um, you’re free to go. Even if we could we can’t hold her but next week she will be placed in a counselors office to talk about what has happened and hopefully she’ll brighten back up she’s very upset right now and I admire her courage and her strength. If half the guys on my team had that then we wouldn’t even need a court.” They said goodbye and Alex and Sarah got into the car and drove off.
Alex was having a hard time not laughing at the police officer so when she got into the car she busted up laughing and Sarah joined in.
“So kiddo. You’re stuck with me for the rest of your life. What shall we do first?” She asked handing the girl a Monster.
“I want to go home and wash this blood out of my hair. I don’t want it to be pink!” She said hanging on to her blonde hair. Sarah smiled and nodded they drove back home and where they have been for the past eight years.

- Description: Um, I've never tried writing anything free form like this and I didn't have the correct resources to get some information so I just made some stuff up as I went along. Like it says its the prologue so it probably won't make sense to anyone as of right now, sorry about that. :-)
