• Am I dreaming or am I awake?
I keep running this thought through my head as I walk along an unrecognizable construction site.
Although I know I haven't been here, it feels a bit familiar.

Next thing I know, I am in the unfinished building.
I shouldn't be here but my feet keeps moving as if they have a mind of their own.

I pass through a dark corridor.
    I'm scared
I can't see anything yet my feet knows this place and it takes me to an unknown destination.

I am tired, I don't know how long I've been walking.
    ENOUGH!
Everything becomes clear. I am at a mall. No one's here.
Suddenly, I hear foot steps approaching.

    "Hello?" I call out.
    "Yesss?" Something replies behind me.

I jump back quickly and take a glance at the figure. I hear laughter and I see that it's one of my friends at school.

"What are you doing here? Where am I?" I ask desperately.
"Woah calm down. Here, follow me I'll take you to the entrance."
    "Entrance? You mean exit."

I hear no reply, but I follow. Just relieved to be with someone I know.

As we walk for a few minutes, we're back at the dark corridor.
    "Wait," I call out.
"It's alright. See?" As if someone had turn on the lights, the dark hall isn't pitch black anymore. It is now replaced by that abandoned construction site I saw before.
"Are you sure it's this way?"
    "Well, duh."

I take a step into the site and I feel a cold breeze.
Then I am enveloped in darkness.
"Hsss... One more step..." I hear numerous voices overlapping

I see my friend --- no, what used to be my friend crumble like dirt and a new form standing in his place.

Its split jaw opens wide into a crude smile
    "One...more...step..."

Suddenly, I know what to do.
"No!" I shout as loud as I can and sprint back to the empty mall with all my energy.

What happened? It seems that I fell unconscious. I guess it was a dream after all.
As I release a sigh of relief,
    I see him.

    "Morning Sunshine"
