• I closed the little brown journal and tied it closed it again. I looked out the window, to see Vanessa waiting in her car for me. She gave me a big smile and a wave. I smiled lightly and gave her a small wave in return. Getting up, I closed the curtains and ran a hand through my hair. Uncle Jeb wasn't here last night so I had stayed up last night, not being able to sleep from being to scared.

I walked into the hall and walked to the bathroom, opening the door. Of course, that wasn't the only reason. "Oh, hey Rose." Nicki said, smiling at me with a toothbrush in her mouth. I rose an eye brow at her and smiled back. Nicki Turner. Standing right here, in my bathroom. In my house. Normally, I would have been excited to have the most popular girl in school here. But here was the thing. The only reason she was here, was because she was busy screwing my brother all last night. All. Last. Night.

"I'm sorry, I'll go use another bathroom." She said. I shook my head and held a hand up. "No, it's fine. Stay here." I said before closing the door. I walked into Uncle Jeb's bathroom to find my brother inside. "God, does everyone need to take a piss?" I muttered. He looked up at me and beamed with happiness. I sighed and closed the door behind me. "I heard you caught a screamer." I said, pushing him to the side with my hip to look myself in the mirror. He closed the toilet and sat on it, giving me room to get ready. He grinned and said:"Jealous?" I rolled my eyes and ran a comb through my hair. "One, I'm not in that team. Two, " I pretended to put my finger in my throat and made a fake puking noise. He laughed and patted my back. "Don't worry, Rosie. Some day you'll get boobs that would make a guy's jaw drop." He teased. I scowled and looked down at my breast. "What's wrong with mine?" I asked. "At least their real." He frowned, narrowing his eyes at me.

I pointed at his face and said:"Ha!" before ruffling his hair and going back to my room to change. Pulling off my gray sweats, I straightened up and looked myself in the mirror.

There, straight across my stomach, was a white fading scar. I tilted my head, gently putting a hand on it...

"Rose! Hurry up!" Vanessa yelled from outside. I jumped and quickly pulled on some skinny jeans with a tank and a white sweater. I dropped my diary into my bag and ran out of my room. "See you later, Matt!" I yelled, pulling open the front door and running out. Vanessa frowned at me as I got in, slamming the door after me. "Sorry, sorry." I mumbled. She sighed and started the car. I relaxed in my seat as she started to pull out only for her to stomp onto the breaks. I gasped and looked back to see if someone was passing. "What was that for?" I hissed at her, seeing no one.

I looked back at her and followed her gaze to where my brother and Nicki were coming out. He had an arm wrapped around her waist , nuzzling her neck and making her giggle. Oh right. Before I can say anything, Vanessa backed up again and sped down the street.

Did I forget to mention that she has been in love with my brother since 7th grade? Of course, she never says anything. They both tease other, of how there better then the other or how the gross they are. I'm not sure if my brother has feelings for her, but she doesn't want me to say anything. Which is sorta hard, her being my best friend and seeing her get all down when she sees my brother with another girl.

Finally making it to school, a whole 15 minutes early, I hopped out of the car as quickly as possible. But not quick enough. Vanessa linked her arm through mine and started leading me to the back of the school. "I don't think so, I want you to see them all together." She said, smiling again. At least she's happy again. . .

There were tons of people in the back of the school, it being where the football field, lunch patio and fenced in spot being. When she started leading me to the fenced in spot, I slowed. "Oh come on we're only going to look at them." She said, tugging on my arm harder. I could already smell the smoke and hear the laughter of the idiots who are already high. Hiding behind a tree, we peeked towards the fence. She gasped and smacked my arm, pointing. "There!" She exclaimed. Frowning and rubbing my arm, I looked at were she pointed and squinted. There in the corner sat a group of 5. But she was pointing at the one sitting on the table, obviously the boss of the group.

"Drake King." She murmured, staring at them openly. I swallowed.

He was tall, at least 6 feet something and well build. Not to buff, like those wrestlers but not to scrawny either. You can see through that shirt, he had a 6 pack. He had tattoos on his arms that disappeared in his shirt. I bit my lip. I always had a thing for tattoos, depending on what they were of. Those black tribal lines on his arms? I wanted to lick them till I found out where they ended.

He had a nice sculptured face. Perfect nose, eyes, ears and lips. . . Oh god, those lips. So soft looking and well filled in. His eyes were a dark brown, almost black looking just like his hair.

Then suddenly, his eyes moved and I froze. It was like seeing a painting move by it's self and almost peeing yourself from being so scared. "Rose!" Vanessa hissed in my ear. He was staring straight at me. He rose an eye brow and gave me a smug grin. My hands fisted up. Suddenly I wanted to punch him. The bell rang, breaking me from my trance. "Let's get to class." Vanessa said, watching me with worry.

I blinked a few times and looked at her. "Alright." I said, smiling. She smiled back quickly and pulled me to the school's back door.

I could still feel his stare burning into my back.
