• Chapter 1:Gone into Hiding

The next morning I find myself buried under the blankets. Nicholas is missing, but I soon discover that he is in the kitchen making egg sandwiches and toast. I crawl out of bed and wander over to the couch. “Morning sunshine” say Nicholas.
“Morning love” I reply back. He brings over two plates handing me one. I’m not as hungry as I should be, but I nibble on my toast so I don’t worry him. He watches me as he shovels in his food. After about ten minutes of staring I finally say “What?”
    “You okay?” he asks.
“What do you think” I counter. He looks at me trying not to cross into dangerous territory, yet he feels he has a right to know. He leaves it alone and we finish eating in silence. Seems we’ve been doing that a lot in the past couple of days. What went wrong? Was it the fact that our planet was being taken over by strange demons from the sky? Or was it some other problem? Whatever the case I didn’t like it and I was going to try to put and end to it. I put my plate into the sink, and then walk back over to Nicholas who still has to eat his toast. He’s about to take a bite from one when I kidnap it from him. He looks at me as if I challenged him which is exactly what I did. I take a little bite as he sets his plate down. I keep my eyes on him as he rises from the couch. “Babe that’s mine” he says with a slight smile across his face.
“Nope” I say then takes another little bite.
“Yes it is” he says as he takes a step towards me. I take a step back as I shake my head no. He takes another step towards me as I take another back. Next thing I know we’re running around the cabin. I’m trying to avoid him getting his toast while he’s trying to get me. I run into the bedroom and instantly realize that was a mistake because he now has me cornered with no way out. I attempt to get out several times, but can’t get past him. Nicholas then pushes me up against the wall pinning my arms above my head. “Gotcha” he whispers in my ear which causes me to giggle. He steals his toast back and takes a bite out of it, then gives me a bite. I take one as he leans in close kissing me softly. I bite down on his lip and he makes a noise that sounds like he liked it.
He kisses me harder as I bite again cause him to make another noise. “Babe, you know what that does” he murmurs.
“No I don’t” I reply with a grin on my face.
“Guess you gonna find out what it does if you keep it up then” he says.
    “Nope I won’t” I say.
“Oh really keep doing it and see what happens” replies Nicholas. I bite his lip trying to unpin my arms from the wall. He pushes his body up against me, and that’s when I start to rub up against his c**k. He lets out a small gasp as I feel him start to stiffen. I keep rubbing against his thickening c**k when he grips my wrists tighter which causes me to freeze. I hear a gentle rumble in the distance that soon turns into the roar of engines passing over the house. I hold my breath fearing that if i breathe they’ll hear me. They pass over and I let out a sigh. That took away from my mood and my fun time ended. Nicholas wasn’t to happy about it, but he’d have to deal.
I laid in bed for most of the afternoon. Nicholas came in every once in awhile to check on me. The next time he came in I talked with him. “How long is the food going to last?” I asked.
“A week maybe a little less” he replies.
“What will we do once we’re out?” I ask.
“We’ll go out on raids” he says looking at me.
    “Raids?” I question.
“Yes go out at night, and raid houses.”
    “I won’t go!”
“That’s fine I’ll go out on my own, you can stay here.” I nod and then slip into silence again. The rest of the week goes by with me staying inside sitting quietly. I have this fear of being caught if I do anything. It’s worse for going outside so I’ve completely stopped going out. Nicholas goes out every once in awhile just to scout out the area figuring out the best route to go when he goes out to raid houses. After about two weeks of just sitting around I can’t take it anymore. I need to get out even if it’s just for a few minutes. Nicholas is reading a book when I tug on his shirt sleeve. He looks up with a questioning look in his eyes. “I want to go out, I can’t stand these walls anymore” I say glancing towards the door.
    “Are you sure?” he asks.
    “Yes” I say.
“Okay let me pull on a sweatshirt and we’ll go out. I pull on my black sweatshirt so I can blend into the night. Soon I am taking my first step out into the cool night air. The sky is filled with thousands and thousands of stars. Nicholas then steps outside with a blanket. He lays in under a patch of trees and lays down. He beckons me to come lay with him. I am hesitant at first, but eventually I do go and lay with him. We look up into the night sky whispering in the dark. It reminds me of the days when we first started dating when we’d come up here every summer and just gaze at the stars for hours and hours on end. I cuddle up with Nicholas and slowly drift to sleep under that beautiful night sky. He holds me close keeping me warm in the cool night.
