in the beginning everyone was in the light but there are those who are chosen by darkness and those chosen by the light. this happens to everyone when they turn the age of 14.the light hunts down the dark and tries to turn them to the light but the darkness has their own weapons and there own ways of surviving. many of the dark go in packs as the light go in groups. the light don't care if it is broken but once it started the war between light and dark cannot be stopped. it is going on now and no one knows what will happen and when it will end. there is one place where there is a truce it is the schools in the districts but once you leave you are defenseless.
