• "...Gaia...is home..." The young woman said, avoiding eye contact at all costs. I could tell she wanted to cry but with Moira it would be suicide to point that out. Instead I just looked away politely and let her wipe her eyes carefully on a bit of her vest. How she managed that without smudging the copious amounts of dark makeup, I'll never know.

When she finally looked back up at me her face was impassive but for the slight puffiness of her button nose. "...Or it used to be. The community loved us...and we loved them. The shops were popular, the staff friendly, and everyone was happy..." She looked wistfully out the bay window of my interview room as though fondly remembering a time of pigtails and trendy lock-belts. It was true, every word she was saying and it brought anger to the surface of my own heart as I watched this beloved NPC reduced to a hollow shell. "...Back then we had stories to tell..exciting new features to implement. Sure, cash was around eventually but it wasn't a big deal. The sales were rare and people enjoyed the thrill of questing for items if they couldn't buy them outright." Dark bangs shadowed her face as she looked down and cursed under her breath. Even if I had heard what she'd said, I'd not write it here. That kind of language isn't appropriate for an interview after all.

"Then..?" I prompted. I didn't want to rush her but interviews take time, time is money, and right now Money is all that matters to Gaia. Sad, but true.

Once more she looked up with those eyes, somewhere between red and pink, and this time she swallowed and continued her speech.darkred] "..And then that ...dog...showed up."

"The Pug?" I asked, mostly doodling on my notes now. We all knew what the pug had caused, there was no need to rewrite what I'd been thinking in my head for months.

"Yes." Her tone was bitter. Not something that one often heard in the friendly shopkeeper. Dark and punky though she appeared, Moira was usually quite bubbly. "He came and everything changed...Now money is everything and no one is heard, not even the NPCs."

"That's why I'm writing this..." I assured the young woman. "We will be heard Moira. I promise..."

"Good." With a nod she stood, then looked me directly in the eyes, magenta to green. "I support the Revolution...Save our Shops. Save our Site..."

I finished the saying that had been sweeping the users for weeks now. The saying that meant we were going to fight for what we believed in. "...Revolution: Gaia."
