    Tick Tock

Her eyes drifted open as the soft buzz of her phone quietly pulled her from the lucid world of dreams, shifting her legs beneath the duvet cover to attempt to pull some of her body from the extreme comfort. Who could it be at this hour? She didn't even really know what time it was. The blur of sleep had just begun to slowly pull off of her pupils, granting her sight to the device which had wretchedly awoke her from the warmth of rest.

In running her thumb over the buttons the screen burst with light and stung her eyes before they focused and ran over the digital numbers depicting the time. The small white shapes read to her as 12:13pm, the middle of the day. But of course she wouldn't have known this simply from the light in her dark room for she had her new curtains that blocked the, already small, light slipping through the cracks of the wooden slats hung in front of her bedroom window.

" Noon already?... " The gravel of waking up ground in her throat through her voice.
"Ugh, thank Cheezits for Saturdays." She giggled and pulled the covers over her eyes, but seemed to suddenly change her mind by throwing them off of her and snatching up her phone.
" Wait 12:15?!" Her voice broke the silence of her room as she jumped up and out of her bed. Her feet hit the carpet with a thud as she bolted out of the bedroom and into the bathroom across from it.
"He told me he'd be here at 1 o' clock!" Her clothes flew off and onto the linoleum in a rush while a hand turned the shower head on. The icy water almost hurt in comparison to the recent warmth her skin had felt, causing her spine to shudder and twitch with the shriek of her voice.
"COLD!!" She followed her usual shower routine with a much higher pace; washing her medium length burgundy colored hair, soaping up her light skin, quickly shaving, and rinsing off her body.

She always thought about her form negatively; with her smaller chest and wider hips. She was shaped like a pear, but luckily was mostly thin. Today though she didn't bother contemplating or thinking deeply on anything except the word, hurry. She still had to get ready right? She could not go anywhere just because she was clean!

So she turned off the freezing water, that she could've sworn could give her frostbite, and shoved the glass door aside to step out and towel off as fast as she could. The next action was squishing the minty slop on her toothbrush, wetting it and brushing her teeth with one hand as she pulled a brush, with some struggle, through the rats nest of red she called her hair.

As she rapidly got ready she remembered that she hadn't checked her phone yet for the actual message that woke her up. The message was as she thought, from him.

Hey! I ll be on my way now, hope you re ready for today! smile

She smiled a little as she read the message, feeling the tingles of joy she got whenever he spoke to, or even text her. She managed to push away the fluttering of butterflies from her body to continue picking out her clothes. She always wore something different, but today looking normal was all she had the time for. Her hand snatched up the black I love music crop t-shirt and a pair of plain jeans.
The familiar noise of her doorbell struck her just as she finished making herself up, and she sprang to her feet to answer the door.
"Hold on!" She trilled in excitement for the guy which she knew was waiting for her behind the door. The door knob was cold on her hand and send chills up her spine as she turned it, and tugged open the door.
