• It's math class. In my opinion, the most boring class in school. Ordinarily our strict and somewhat annoying teacher is there to yell and makes us participate in class activities. But not today....

So the substitute hands out papers to all the math groups and goes to play on the computer or text on her phone (which is against school rules by the way). She's now completely oblivious to the world outside of the teacher's desk. How do I know?

I sat back in my chair, desk covered in binders, books, and papers I pretend to look at. The other kids in my group, being the antisocial aliens they are, were doing their work seperatly and quietly. So I lean farther back in my chair that is wonderously attached to my desk. I lean a bit farther, figuring if my balance fails I'll fall forward, where most of the weight is. And that's where it all went wrong.

Soon all the junk I had placed on my desk slides off into my lap. My feet leave the ground and the chair (and desk) continue to lean back. Within the next second the back of my head hits the chalkboard, the chalkholder, the wall, then the floor.

I'm laying there on my back, unable to get up, like a helpless little turtle and everyone in the room is laughing at me. No one to help me up, just a bunch of people I don't know or hate laughing at the fact that I've fallen backwards.

I get up and put my desk back and put my stuff away then look at the teacher. The one person in the room who's supposed to keep everyone on task. And she hasn't looked away from her cellphone!? The whole class is goofing off and laughing and the substitute is still mindlessly texting her out-of-date and lonely old dust bags that she calls friends! I hope she got fired.

    The End
