• b] I could feel the chilling wet snow seep up through the soles of my
shoes while snowflakes danced around in the dark enchanting sky. I peered up
at the deep purple clouds filling the atmosphere giving it a mysterious
aura. Slowly and steadily, I trudged up the long endless path most would
call the "driveway". My hand gripped the edge of my icicle blue sled,
already glazed over with a thin layer of frozen hail.

You see, My "driveway", was on a slight slope giving just the right amount
of pressure to send one hurdling down at great speeds. Which is the
exact reasoning of my hiking up it. Though the walk is rather dreary,
long, and somewhat unsatisfying, the treasure is always there for you
at the end, that is...as long as snow falls and slopes continue.

Finally as soon as I began to realize that the point I sought was not far,
I quickened my pace. Everything around me was a blurr all I could focus
on was me reaching the endpoint. Suddenly in the blink of an eye, I was
there. After precisely six minutes and fourty-seven seconds, I had
    breached the summit.

I glanced over to the road, nothing. No rhythmatic hums of Chevy's, or
Honda's. No Smooth Whooshing sounds -Almost like slicing water in
half- as the stiff rubber tires skim over the dark paved road. Nothing,
I couldn't even sense the silence, it seemed like the world was
complete with emptiness and murky shadows trying desperately to
conceal the glimmering flakes of snow sailing through the sky as
if they were late for some sort of gathering.

I sluggishly did -No, "tried"- to do a hundred eighty degree turn but
instead uprose an unforseen misstep and blundered on some black
ice. I landed atop the sled -probably bruising my tailbone-, I scrambled
to revive myself when all at once, I flipped back down because the sled,
    began to tip.

At first I wasn't so sure what was going on, then I realized, I was going
down. Swiftly, I placed all my body weight in front of me shifting the sled to an
angle that created a smoother ride. It went swifter and almost made me
feel like I was flying, At Least half a centimeter off the ground. I couldn't wait until next snowfall.
