No, I believe it does not. Personally I blame it on the parents, The parents could of controlled what their kids played, But they chose not to, which proves they have no common sense. I mean come on, would you honestly leave a gun out in the open and say to your kid "Here, point this at the wall and point the trigger, its fun!" Yeah, highly doubt it. That's what your practically doing when you let your kid play violent video games. You gave them the gun, you gave them the support, what are they going to do? Hm lets think for a moment, oh I don't know maybe shoot people!?
I really dislike the fact that everyone blames violence on video games. So since your saying video games, I guess your also blaming TV as well. That shows a lot of violence, oh lets not forget the internet, Lots and lots of violence. Why not blame violence on any of them or why not drugs as well AND alcohol. What's next huh? Schools? Take some responsibility and keep your children away from it. Why do you think those ESRB ratings are on the bottom corner of the game? Just for looks? NO! they are there to let you know that this game is violent! Keep your kids away from it.
Now, I'm not trying to diss on parents or anything. Its just that people need to think more before acting. Video games do not cause violence, It's the person playing the games that's naturally violent. Parents just need to stop being so ignorant of their kids, they knew that their child was violent but failed to do anything about it. Laziness? Maybe, Ignorance? Yes. Let your kid know who the boss is around the house. You cannot let kids control your life. Its not the programmers fault that they made a violent game. They didn't know that your child would react violently after playing the game.
Now does violence in video games contribute to real life violence? Not at all, Violence comes from hatred and anger towards something that the person hates so much that he gets no control over himself and feels better when he kills. Get some therapeutic help for that person and treat him with love and respect. Don't let them fall to Violence and go to prison. Then blame it on Video games because of this immoral behavior. Thanks for reading, and i hope you've enjoyed what i wrote.
