• What is succeeding really? Is it just doing well, or accomplishing something well? This is a question that most ask themselves daily. Did I do well? Or did I just move one step closer to succeeding? We delve into ourselves to try to find this evasive answer. Yet all we come to is disappointment.

Disappointment. Another crucial factor in which we call life. For many discontent, is a day to day factor in our lives. Failing a test, losing a job, mourning a deceased family member, all come into play, yet all most feel is disappointment. Why? some may ask. Why is answered with this: For when we achieve something that has taken one time to even fathom achieving, we feel prosperous, giddy, on top of the world. Yet if we loose something so miniscule, that took a seconds notice to do, to feel, love, or cherish, we feel as if we are useless, not able to execute the most insignificant task.

Some feel this electric sensation throughout their lives, yet most struggle, to feel important, dignified, yet still with a sense of their old
blue-collared life. I feel as though we should be able to accomplish more, even if we feel that the “more” is untouchable, unreachable, or unthinkable. Succeeding really, to me, means that you achieve something that you could have never dreamed you could achieve. Or, it could mean that you accomplished something that you, personally, wanted done.

Miniscule or not, succeeding, is something that is highly personal, for that one person to enjoy. Yet, there are those times, when a huge accomplishment is meant to be shared. For example, in modern times, we have looked past our differences and elected an African American President. People have looked far beyond racism, and what we think “should be done” and have succeeded in uniting America once more, to be built again.

If we try to dissect this topic even more, you could also see it in a way, that would benefit the world, to and extreme. To succeed, could also mean, to let all your differences go, to see the world from a crystal clear view and to see everyone the same way. What is Succeeding? Doing what you think has to be done for you, and you privately. Why should we never give up on Succeeding? If you give up, you may never no what it means to truly feel, well, successful.
