• Ever ponder that question? Life was always hard, people need to work, but life was not always cruel. There was a time when people were more accepting of another's differences. Racism didn't exist though there was slavery that included people who were not of a racial minority. Nowadays, stereotyping peoples has been the biggest downfall for anyone who wants to make their own way of life easier in supporting their families.

In the city where I call my home, I cannot walk 2 city blocks without hearing some snide remark about persons with another skin color. It has gone even to the point now where there is prejudices within a racial group. Why do some people of one racial group get rejected from the same group? Do they not recognize that they had roots there at one point? It does not matter if they were not born into that past life, it matters because there is a connection. It's cruel to reject people who are trying as opposed to those who do not try or do not care. People need to open there eyes and see that not every Southerner is of low intelligence or that every African American is a rebel to society. Not every person who dresses Gothic or punk has delved deep into that lifestyle. Not every pierced or tattooed person does bad things. Sadly in many areas, that does not ring any bells.
