• Foreword: This is part 3 of the Bush and the Meerkat series and I hope that everyone likes the series so far. I know that it's a bit ridiculous, but it's based off a comic, so it's suppose to be. I would appreciate any idea's on how to improve the series in the future. There have been some suggestions so far, but they may or may not have appeared in this part of the story as of yet. I try to incorporate all suggestions into the story, but at which point that they get injected is where ever I'm at in the story at that moment. I will give a small warning. This has not yet been prove read or grammar checked. I sent it to a friend who agreed to prove read and correct grammar errors, but she's busy with another story and 2 jobs, so there's not any telling when she'll get to it. I'll re-post the story then. Until then, please enjoy the raw version of the story.

    Zombie Mark
    Bush and the Meerkats
    Part 3
Bush, The Meerkats, and the Hunters

A week had passed and nothing had yet happened with the “strike” that Zombie Mark had promised Bush would come. The Meerkats had stopped cleaning so Mike was rehired then ended up getting arrested for throwing ice at a police officer claiming it was the spell cone of cold. That happened yesterday and Bush had to post bail for him. He was driving to work from the courthouse when he pulled into the mall parking lot and saw the scene that was going on. The Meerkats were marching in a circle with signs saying, “management unfair to Meerkats” and “This place abuses Meerkats”. But the signs weren’t bad enough, but camera and news crews were taking pictures and video tapping the scene. He stepped out of his car and saw Zombie Mark chanting something or another. Bush couldn’t hear over the crowed that was gathering around them.

Jeo-Chan stepped up behind Bush. She had been here a couple minutes. “Yeah,” she said. “They’ve been here doing this a couple hours now. And unless they stop, I’m going home.”

He turned and stared at her. “Oh no.” he said. “They will stop.” With that, he pulled out is cell phone and scrolled down the contact list till he found the number he was looking for. He hit send and listened as it rang two or three times. Then a deep, groggy voice picked up. “Hello?” the voice said.
“I have a job for you.” he said.

An hour or two passes before the black SUV pulled up in the parking lot. Three people stepped out of the SUV, two men and the woman who was driving. They walked over to where Bush was standing and still watching the scene. Jeo-Chan had already went home after hearing the conversation of Bush on the phone. The woman stepped up next to Bush and looked over the scene. She was not over weight, but she was large. Standing next to 5’6 she weighed near 200 pounds and had long brown hair. She was dressed in black jeans, a t-shirt, and some cheep sunglasses. “So this is it?” she asked in the deep voice that had answered the phone. “Some rodents?”

“Yeah” Bush answered. “Get ride of them and I’ll give you the whole payment.”
“Ok,” she said. “A beer for each killed, plus you will replace all ammo I use and you have a deal.”
“Deal” he said. “Good luck Christa. And I’ll give you three case’s as a bonus if you kill the zombie.”

She looked over at him, a frown on her face. “What zombie?”
Bush pointed at the scene. “The one in the center chanting curses against my name.”
Christa looked over at Zombie Mark, who was still in the circle chanting. “That’s not a zombie, moron. That’s just some animal rights activist that doesn’t like you.”
“Just kill it and I’ll give you your bonus.”
“Sorry.” Christa said. “I wont kill any humans, but I’ll get rid of the pest.”
“I don’t want you to get rid of Jeo-Chan! I want you to kill the rodents!” Bushed yelled at her. Christa hit her forehead with the palm of her hand.

She put her black sunglasses back on and walked back to the two guys waiting at the car. The first one is Bo. Bo was a bit overweight, but was trying to lose it so he could get back on the police force. He was dressed in black pants, blue Block-Breaker shirt, and a red ball cap. The other was John. John was average height and had his head shaved balled. He kept in shape as a armature boxer while in between jobs. He wore blue jeans, mussel shirt, and a backwards ball cap.

They reached the car and opened the trunk. Sitting there in the trunk was several cases. Christa grabbed one of them and handed it to John and gave another to Bo before getting one out herself. They opened the cases and pulled out four guns. Bo had two small pistols, Christa had a shotgun, and John an M16 assault rifle with a bayonet attached to it.

They walked over to the street, where the parking lot was separated from the wall, and stood and watched as Mark saw them standing there. Marks eye’s grow wide as he saw John holding the M16 rifle. As he stared at the gun, he see’s John smile as he hosted the gun up on to his shoulder. “Run Meerkats, Run!” he shouts. With that, John holds the gun out and opens fire at the Meerkats. The bullets bounce off the pavement and hit some of the mallrats and news crews in the legs. Five people drop to the ground as their bloody legs buck out from under them. Kristen the Mallrat Queen yelled as one of the mallrats carrying her chair got hit in the leg and she fell when he did.

The Meerkats run in the theater through a small hole in the wall. The hole was left over from one of Bush’s experiments to annihilate the zombie population. Bush threw the key to the back door to Christa to let her in.

Bo was the first to enter. He leveled his pistols at the ground in hopes to see a Meerkat, but their was not one to be seen. Christa came in next with John coming in last. Christa moved around, bumping in to doors, garbage cans, and other things as she searches for the lights. After a couple of minutes and tons of bruises later, she found and turned them on.

With the lights on, they hoped that the Meerkats had nowhere to hide. In the meantime, the Meerkats ran to the box under the sink to gather what was left of the clan. After they explained to the rest of the clan everything, the lights kicked on and they started to panic. The clan split into three faction of 11, Kenta (the clan chief), JuJu (Kenta‘s eldest son), and Grile (JuJu‘s mate). Kenta and his faction went under the cabinets, JuJu and his faction went into the ceiling, and Grile and her faction went into the basement and sewers.

Christa, John, and Bo split up and started the hunt. Christa investigated the lobby and concession area. She could hear the Meerkats running in the cabinets, their little paws slamming on the wood. She opened one of the cabinet doors to see one of the Meerkats tails disappearing into a small cut hole in the side of the cabinet walls. She guessed that the Meerkats were running and adjusted accordingly and opened fired. She pumped the shotgun over again and pulled the trigger repeatedly, hoping to get in a lucky shot. The firing of the shotgun echoing through out the theater.
