• It was a windy evening. As I strolled along the walkway of the park behind my house, my eyes searched for the best spot I was planning to set myself to rest in exchange for the tiresome jog I had just completed. Just as I was heading towards a bench which was usually crowded by footballers taking their half-time break, a gentle voice called from behind me…”Michy?”
I turned and saw a familiar figure standing about a meter and a half away from me, his eyes widely opened. I have never seen this guy before, yet he was no stranger to me. I have somewhat seen him before, I told myself. Oh my gosh, is he Randy? Our eyes met. What was expected to be a magical moment was instead taken over by a moment of complete silence. It was as if the world was standing still. The only sound I could hear right now was the sound of my heart beat, which was beating profusely and sounded very much like a noisy gong being played by a certain failed amateur at an infamous Lion Dance performance. Heat gushed up from my neck to my brain. My entire face was burning. I must have looked like a cooked lobster by now. I finally blinked and slowly removed my stare to the ground. “Randy? Is that you?” I choked out finally. There was no reply. I brought my face up again. He was still staring at me, but this time, he was brave enough to take 3 gigantic steps towards me. His eyes were still focused on my face. My heart missed a beat but continued to pound crazily after that.
My eyes widened as he came nearer and whispered into my face, eyes still focused, “Shhhh….” All of a sudden, PIAK!! ! A palm landed onto my left cheek. “Yayyyy……I managed to kill the mosquito. And btw, HIHIHIHIHIHI…yarrrr, Im Randy!!!!!!!” biggrin
