Within the dark night, the full moon rises and the gentle wind sways.
The moon calls out, “Come little children, come out and play.”
The sounds of the night fills the air,
The sounds of the night, the heart they will ensnare.
Little feet of children treads the soft ground,
In fear of their parents they dare not make a sound.
The moon calls out “Come little children, come and stay,”
“Under my protection tread softly this way.”
Deep in the garden the children go and play,
Under the moon’s protection, this paradise they’ll stay.
Away from the crime, the killing and hate,
Away from the world’s upcoming fate.
- Title: A child's paradise
- Artist: Zoey_04
- Description: I had to read a poem for a poetry reading and I thought about how some children have terrible lives, so I came up with this poem about children finding a safe place to stay. Hope you all enjoy this.
